Victor slowly opened one eye when he heard the banging. The soldier combat medic was on the second floor. He had found himself a corner with another sentry who was fixed on the scene below. Getting up slowly, Victor stretched out then left the room. Heading for the roof was his objective. Grabbing one of the propane tanks, he climbed the stairs. Once on the third floor, he walked to a staircase that said Roof access. Pushing open the metal door, he walked up it. Once on the roof, he ran across to the front. Setting the propane tank down, he set his rifle up on the small roof wall. Aiming, he had his eyes set on those across the street and not on Acer. Victor figured everyone down below had him covered from head to to. With gun pointing at a visible target who was aiming at the building. "This isn't right...a man shouldn't wage war on an empty stomach....wish I had my bag. Could use an MRE right now."

Remy looked at Arden as he gave her the option to run one more time. She shook her head, knowing she couldn't just up and leave. These people could possibly die without her help and she's not sure she could let that weigh so heavy on her shoulders. As many times as she had walked away before, she knew she just couldn't do it this time.
"No Arden. I ain't running away. Not this time."
When her and Dan got to the top floor, he asked about her cousin, saying he was going to follow her like a dog.
"He's my kin, Dan. My cousin. He ain't leavin me and I ain't leavin him. When this is over, we got relatives to find here." She got down the hall and saw Arden standing at one of the rooms with the door open, already waiting for them. "You take your box and we'll be down here. If things go wrong, we'll take the emergency stairs down."
She also made sure to have her bat and machete with her. If things went wrong and they had to come face to face with Acer's men, then at least she had a fighting chance even if they had more bullets. She set the box down and before Dan could go to the room of his choosing, she came up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Be safe okay? When this is over, we'll get to the Bayou, I promise."
She offered him a little smile as she went back to her box hearing her cousin grumbling from the designated room. She set it on the bed and pulled a couple of lighters she found in the bar out from her pockets. As she looked out the window, she could see Acer and Colette talking, but nothing more was happening. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but the man on the roof across the street gave her a bit of a start. The gun was pointed at them..or at least their building.

Candy fell asleep in her corner of the boiler room. Waiting for all hell to come was maybe nearly as mind-freakingly bad as the hell to come. The hours whittled by, until she began to wonder if all this trouble was even really going to come. There was lots of busy work she heard through the night, and she had fallen asleep despite it.
It wasn't until early morning that Candy snapped awake in fear, and she offered to take over watch from June. She had her own plans if the monsters outside got this far inside. They were desperate plans at best, but it gave the little girl some peace of mind having them. Because she was more dangerous to herself with a gun if she tried to shoot it than to anyone she would target, Candy would only wake June if the monsters came while she was on watch. Her water and crackers were all gone too. This waiting was getting worse.
She heard the pounding on the door muffled through the walls, and scampered back to her corner...was this it? Candy huddled to the wall to wait and hope... hope Dallas, Anthony and even Lilly made it throug halright..and that they would come to the boiler room soon to say everything was okkay.
Sam was true to her word. She had let Andrei and Holly look at her wrist. Once they were done, she had gone and found Damon.
Sam had stayed with him all night. She wasn't going to be separated from him again. She sat curled up, near him. The banging on the door had woken her up. Well, that and the ache in her wrist. She knew her medication level was high, due to her abusing pills for years. She hadn't wanted it anyway, the pain was a good thing. It kept her focused.
"You really care about these people? Let's just hope you can save them, or that their little pissing match won't get you killed," Arden said before leaving to the room. Personally he would have left. Let the fuckers rot. Those the ones you give a shit about and leave.
In the room he looked up as Remy entered. "Those bombs won't do shit unless they are right up close. I've seen you throw, you ain't no quarter back." He looked out the window at the obvious sniper sticking out like a sore thumb.
When Remy came to his side he grabbed a bottle. "How you lightin' these? Got a lighter, matches," he asked looking at the sniper again. "If the charge these will be good, we can aim down, easier. Even I can't make the throw across the street, angle is right. You need an arch, can't do that inside.
When she asked if he was a good shot he nodded. "Yeah I am, not with a shotgun though. Only has a blast radius, no accuracy." If there were one thing Arden knew, it was weapons. "I'd need a Rifel. My pistol don't have that range either. Them fuckers at the bar weren't exactly handing out weapons. They only gave to a few people. Seemed the rest had to fend for themselves."

Damon had taken a break from watch when Samantha had returned. He didn't disturb her much the night before knowing she had been through a lot. About half an hour after Sam went to sleep he had returned to his rifle on watch.
After a few hours passed Sam had finally awoken. His view of Acer bounced around as the bed moved. For a moment he had not replied to her before taking his eye off the scope.
"Mornin' Sammy..." He smiled happy she was finally up and kissed her on the cheek. "Been watching the entrance. That leader asshole from the mansion is out-front talkin' to Collette outside. Has a pretty messed up view of justice, and the hots for the bar owner."
He knew others had a lock on Acer and in such a situation little would probably happen. He was far too exposed to start a gunfight. Damon could shoot him before he reached cover. Damon yawned before rubbing his eyes feeling slightly low on energy. This prompted him to drink some Coffee before offering some to Samantha.
"Feeling better this morning or is some bruising coming out."

The bangs from the front door awoken Tanya from her sleep. She was in a corner in the bar area. Rushing to her feet she ran over to the window, propping the barrel of her AK in the spaces over the window. From where she was kneeling she could see Acer and a few men set up incase shit hit the fan. Simon talked to the messenger boy. Then she heard Colette walking up and talking. "Col. Don't do it...it maybe a trap." Tanya whispered, but she guest her leader didn't hear her or just ignored her. it her way, a feeling of hurt hit her. Shaking it off, Tanya looked back out the window and saw Acer walking across the street. Her mouth just dropped open. What the he'll is he doing...and did she just hear him right? A one night stand? Really?!? At a time like this?!? A typical male ego I guess. Is what she thought as she tried her best to listen to the conversation and also to keep focus on the Pig's men. Just incase she had to leave fast, she had relocated her bike right outside the doors out back in the shed. It was better then it sitting in the open. With her right hand, she reached over her primary weapon and pulled the Skorpion out slightly. Just enough for her to load a round into the chamber. Then she slid it back into the holster. Her eyes caught a glare coming from the roof from the building behind Acer. Whispering over to Simon. "Simon...we got a sniper on the roof behind Acer. You got him?" A rush of adrenaline hit her as the thought of combat raced through her mind. And the age old questions came as well. Can they hit me from here? How many can I kill before I run out of ammo? Will I do? "Relax Tanya...think what father trained you." Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled it slowly. She was hoping that everyone in the hotel were set up and ready to open fire.
Acer took great note of the people on the roof and in the windows that were starting to gather in preparation for an attack. Colette would be a fool not have them prepared. Still, it didn't sway him from his ultimate goal, regardless of the seething Arcade behind her.
He couldn't help but chuckle at her attempt to sway him with just wanting to talk all night.
"Talk? Maybe there will be some of that." He stepped a little closer as he spoke to her.
"I'm expecting there will be more moaning. Just one night of you and me, in the flesh. You're a lady so I won't be crude, but you're also a fighter so when I tell you that I just want one night to fuck you, I mean it. Just once and this is over."
As far as Sam was concerned, he shrugged. She was another casualty and again, she survived.
"That girl was an honest mistake. Vague information and fear. She made it back alive, Colette. That's something she should be thankful for. That's more then a few of my men can say. As far as location, we won't go far. A neutral place."
He looked over his shoulder and pointed to a building a block away where neither his men or her men were staked out.
"Down there. There's a few shops with apartments on top. My cousin Art owned that frame shop and lived upstairs with his family. He left and went back to Texas. His apartment is empty. I'll deliver you back in one piece by the end of the day if you come with me now. After that, I'll pack up and leave. Probably head back to Texas also."
Simon turned to watch the interaction between Colette and Acer and as Tanya spoke, he looked past them to see exactly what she was talking about.
"Yea, I got him." His thoughts were now on the killing fields and nothing else. It's what he did. It's what him and Luca did. You want something someone else has? You kill them and take it. They did it to the guilty and the innocent. They had become judge, jury and executioners in this world which wasn't really a far stretch from what they did back in Miami as beat cops. Sometimes the bad guy just deserved a bullet to the head and it was easily forgiven when a planted gun in his hand made it look like he was firing first.
He didn't care about this group, but Luca was his friend and he would convince him to leave these people. Luca spoke about the blonde, Remy, who seemed to have eyes for Dan. Last time he saw her she was having a little breakfast date right in front of Luca, who was too blind in the heart to see it. He loved Luca like a brother, but he had never really seen him act like that before. Women were expendable when it came to relationships for the both of them. The more drunk they were, the better off. A few hours after a good time, they would just roll out of bed and be on their merry way, none the worse. There were a few psychos out there who demanded more, but neither one of them could give it. The longest relationship he remembered Luca having was with a cute parking meter maid that seemed to last a few weeks longer then most. When this was said and done, him and Luca would be on their way, even if he had to drag Luca kicking and screaming, which was something he was good at doing.
"I got him." He went to the hotel side of the building, finding the right spot on the first floor and aiming a gun towards the guy on the roof.
Cade had heard everything Acer said. It was disgusting, petty, arrogant, all Acer. He looked at Angel again and just shook his head. All this for a simple fuck. Creepy old man couldn't get any at home, had to go drug the bar girls. Collette didn't answer right away, it scared him. Meant she was thinking, thinking was bad. Was she actually going to accept the pervert's offer.
Cade stepped through the door, leaning casually on his bow as he came to stand beside Collette. He knew she didn't want him there, but she didn't control him. Plus he wanted to kill Acer. He wanted to jab his knife into him again and again. He wanted to watch the life drain from his eyes as it had his men when he set them on fire. Cade wanted Acer to feel death, beg fo his life.
Cade just smiled at Acer. "All this just for a petty fuck. You can't actually be considering this can you Collette," he asked laughing. "Not even going to get sloppy seconds Acer. More like thirds, fourths. Are you really that depraved. I thought you had a whole harem of whores with you. They stop putting out, realized you were old enough to be their father. How long have you been trying to get Collette. Two years and you didn't even get a sniff. What makes you think anything his different right now. Because you have men out there, guns at us."
He grabbed Acer by the shirt, pulling him up toward him. "Not even man enough to get it with respect. Have to force her at gunpoint. Force her to spend a mere second with you. You're pathetic, look at you. A washed up old man. You're not a hotshot anymore, can't play with the big dogs. Some creepy pervert that likes to rape and abuse. You don't even deserve to look at her."
He glared his brow. "So what I burnt down your mansion. If that is what you are pissed about then it's between you and me. Not her. She didn't give an order. It was my own free will. I killed those people, just to hear them scream. To see their bodies burn around you as you panicked, filled with fear. I would do it again, not even think twice."
He released Acer's shirt, shoving him back. "So this is between me and you. Not them. Not her."

Remy pulled the lighters out from her pockets and threw them on the bed for him to choose whatever Bic he chose to light the wicks with. They couldn't do it now anyways. She perched herself at a window, making sure to have some hiding space should Acer's men decide to start shooting through the panes of glass. She needed to be careful with the flying shards.
"You don't get it Arden. I know you don't know these people, but I do. Not as well as I should, but they took us in after gunfire at my place. There was no way my apartment was going to be able to sustain us. We had to leave sooner then I wanted. But Colette took us in, gave us beds to sleep in and fed us. It's the right thing to do."
She looked back over her shoulder at him as she spoke. "Where are your friends at Arden? All dead I would suspect." She took a few bottles out and kneeled down on the floor at the window, folding her arms on the sill and resting her chin on her hands.
"You have no idea where I've been. How long I've been on the road, sometimes alone, sometimes with people. You have no clue what I've seen out there or who I've lost. My best friend, Lily, remember her? I think you used to jerk off to a picture of her when I accidentally left a picture of her and me behind at the house. Shotgun blast to the head, right in front of me. I guess, maybe it's a sense of loyalty that makes me want to stay and fight. I don't want to keep being driven off. All I do is run."
Colette stood there thinking. It was too easy. No way that would be it. He would get what he had coveted for two years and leave? Could she do it? She was no prude, far from a virgin. Simple, right? Just one time, one time and he would leave . No one had to get hurt. She could end this.
She was thinking and felt Cade move close to her. He was angry. She could feel the pent up rage coming off of him in waves. She was about to speak , but he kept talking. She heard everything he said. Seconds, thirds? Did he just call her a whore? Colette glared at Cade. He should have stayed back, kept out of this.
Cade grabbed Acer. He was loosing it. Saying Acer was forcing her at gun point. In a way, he was right. Colette reached out with her good hand and gripped Cade's arm," don't do this! I can handle it." She pulled at his arm," just let it go, it's ok, it's just my body, I can handle it, Cade!" She had made her decision. She would go with Acer, if it meant no one had to get hurt." It will be over!"
Acer saw Cade coming out from behind. The little dog had come out to bark more. It seemed that Colette had made up her mind as she seemed willing to do what he wanted. But instead of just letting this be handled in one, easy step, he had to interfere, yet again. This time, he proceeded to insult Colette without even any consideration for her as a lady.
"Thirds? Fourths? Wow Arcade, even I wouldn't throw that out. Don't you know how to treat a lady?"
But Arcade grabbed him and pulled him close. He couldn't help but laugh, although it was more of a nervous laugh that turned a bit maniacal. Cade didn't know what he was doing. Cade had just opened up a monster.
"Do you see a gun to her head? Do you?"
The time for games was over from this guy who continued to attack his men. He reached into his pocket to pull out a switchblade. With one flip, the blade was open and he jabbed it into Cade's gut not once, but twice. When he pulled back, he saw Cade's blood on his hand and he smiled as the blade was freshly coated, dripping down his wrist.
"Colette, why do you waste your time with him? Why? He's nothing but a fool. He's murdered way too many people and tried to make me look like the enemy. Now, you can choose."
He stepped back and looked towards the building where his men were stationed, yelling out so they could all hear...his men, and her people.
"Either you come with me for the night or my men will shoot and kill every last one of your people inside. And not one of them will get a merciful head shot! Not one!"
If he was going to kill her people, his plan was to make them all walkers. Trapped inside the the very sanctuary she created. His icy stare looked back at her with all the madness that had been held at bay...until now. "And you'll get to come with me." His eyes looked to the dead, headless girl outside her door before looking back at her. "You'll get to come with me."
After preparing the defenses of the hotel with the others, James had returned to Colette to speak his mind once and for all. Together they spent an unforgettable night and come the morning, he found himself lying left alone in her bed. The sun had barely risen the moment he discovered she was no longer beside him, and he knew he had overslept. In the hallway he could hear people walking around, knocking on doors, waking everybody up. Something was going on, and if she weren`t there, it meant her attention was needed elsewhere.
Standing up he quickly searched the room to find his clothes scattered about, then once dressed he moved over to nearest window, wherefrom he could see Acer and Colette already engaged in a conversation. “What the hell? What is she doing?” He whispered, unsure whether to believe his own eyes. Growing concerned for her safety, he wanted to do something, but knew he couldn`t.
James had no idea what they were saying to one another, he couldn`t hear from his position. With the decision to go downstairs, he grabbed his gun and left the room. In fast pace he hurried over to the door, only then to witness the incident between Arcade and Acer. Finally he could hear, however it was getting out of control, someone had to do something!
“Hey Acer! Remember me?” James called out as he stepped outside, and with his arms up he hid gun behind his back, approaching slowly. He knew it probably wasn`t the best idea he have had, but he couldn`t let him take Colette. “Of course you do, it`s been me you`ve wanted all along. Though I hear you`ve changed your mind?” He stepped closer, pausing before continuing. “Please, hear me out…I`ve another deal for you.” With a glance at Arcade who was bleeding from his stab wounds, he shifted his gaze to Colette. “Take me. Leave the others alone and you can kill me yourself.” As he focused on Acer, he locked eyes with him to show him he was being serious.
Sam had rolled up on her knees at was trying to see what was going on. She pulled back and looked at her wrist. It was bandaged up, but she could see purple , black and blue skin if she pulled back on it some. She frowned, sucking in her breath," yeah, black and blue." She glanced at the window," you think this talk is going to go well?"
Sam looked back at the window and pulled back against Damon," he stabbed him, Damon!" She was pointing and telling Damon to look. She felt bad, he had stopped watching, was paying attention to her and the guy got stabbed." I, shit, I fuck everything up!" She started scooting off the bed and grabbed her hand gun. She wouldn't fuck up anything else. She looked at Damon," you alright, here?" Sam figured all hell was gonna break use soon and she wasn't going to let one of those assholes hurt anyone else.

Damon had been listening and glanced back as the stabbing happened. Samantha had the feeling the stabbing was an error on her part. Damon had left the gun and anyway Cade had made the first move. He was stupid enough to engage physical contact in a negotiation.
"I cant do anything right now. We only shoot if its necessary. This thing is like a gas leak, one spark could blow everything up." He paused and re adjusted his scope "Aint your fault Sam... Dumbass shouldn't grab someone during a discussion. Guy caused that fire at Acers. Really escalated shit." Damon took a drag of a smoke balanced on the window ledge.
"Seems the guy wants to tap the Bar owners ass in exchange for lifting this blockade... Don't tell me this is another conflict caused by some prick with an over zealous package in his pants."

"You don't need to do this. You don't need to give into this sick fucks plans just for them. You don't need to do this. I know itMs your decision, you body, but you don't have to go along with it. We can fight," Arcade said stepping back. "If you do this, you'll loose my respect. Everything we've worked for, all the negotiations the barriers. You're better than this."
He looked as Acer spoke about him respecting the lady. "I respect her enough not to force her to spend time with me. Threats and and army behind it. I have more respect for her than you. But it will all be gone if she does this."
He glared at Acer again when he asked if he saw a gun to her heard. "No not one there. But in the windows, up on the roof. The second she refuses you'll kill us. That's as much as a threat as anything you fuck." Cade stepped closer, clenching his fists. He was going to hit him he could feel it.
Then Acer moved forward. He felt the blade go in. Arcade felt a yelp of pain leave his lips. He stumbled back, his hands going to his side. He could feel the blood soaking through the shirt to his hand. He gritted his teeth his teeth. Both hands were at his side, he couldn't fight back.
He looked at Collette as he felt his knees go weak. Would she still go through with this. Even now, after what Acer did.
"So you feel like you owe her. She saved you and you are doin' the noble thing," Arden said, "since when the fuck did you start even caring? I get wanting to protect your friends, but strangers. We'll fight, but if it comes between them and you I'm saving you." He looked down below as a guy came out. "Seems someone joined the party down there."
Arden looked back at Remy as she spoke. "You know I don't have friends. So what you've seen a lot. If you would have been home you would haven't of had to. But I saw my fare share. I saw ma and pa go down like a few dogs. Walkers took them. Cousins, and the people they were with. If it wasn't walkers it was raiders. All our family was gunned down or bit. I had to put down my own dad when he was bit. My brother went off God knows where, I ain't seen him in months. I went out looking for him and came back to find Ellie gone. Raiders had taken over our god dam shop, our home. I ended up burning it to the fucking ground to kill them."
He looked away, "we all lost shit Remy. Family, friends. Don't matter. Got to protect what you have left."
He looked out and saw the man below get stabbed. "Remy hand me a bottle. That old fucker stabbed the archer. I can hit 'em from 'ere."
Post by Remy LaCroix on Dec 16, 2015 7:13:25 GMT -5
"I'm not leaving without Luca, Arden." It was just that simple. The words between them always rang in her mind. It was just him and her. They had each other, no matter what, although the questions of what they were seemed confusing. As much as she wanted to tell people they were together and were a couple, she really wasn't sure if they were. Hell, she wasn't even sure that's what he wanted. She had only come to accept that is what she wanted but she knew the possible outcomes from that. Her heart had hurt before and she suspected it would hurt again, especially now that Simon was in the picture.
She stayed down as she watched the interaction between Colette, Acer and Arcade, but she felt her heart sink as Arden spoke about their family. He confirmed the deaths of her aunt and uncle. Her cousin Ellie was MIA and the property was taken by raiders. When he spoke about burning 'it' down, she hoped he just meant the bait shop and not the house. That was her last chance at refuge in this world. If that was gone... Her thoughts trailed off as James burst out of the bar to confront Acer.
"Oh no, James..." She whispered as she watched. "I saved him, Arden. His brother was killed by Acer's men." She left out the part about James and his brother stealing from Acer, which, in her mind, was certainly not a death sentence. When Arcade reeled back, she saw the blood on Acer's hands and her heart started to race. This was apparently about to start.
She handed Arden a bottle and grabbed one herself. Lighter in one hand, cocktail in the other. She felt about as ready as she could ever be.
Watching Arcade getting up into Acer's personal space, she kept her gun fixed on Acer's men across the way. Hearing that Simon had the sniper made things a bit comforting to her. But that washed away when she heard the yelp come from Arcade. Looking at him, she saw the blood coming out of his side. Then James went out to confront Acer. Cade said something to Colette before falling to the ground. Her eyes went wide. Slinging her AK-74U, she burst through the door way and ran to Cade. Putting her arms under Cades arm pits, she glared up at Acer. The urge to unload her guns into him was strong. But getting Cade out of harm's way was more important. Her eyes went to Colette as she said to her. "I hope this is worth it to you! Acer stabs Cade and you two talk about Fucking!" With what strength she had, she dragged her injured ally back into the bar area. Hopping over the bar counter, she began looking for towels. Grabbing two, she jumped back over and rushed back over to him.
Flipping a table over and setting it in front of them to give them some cover from the open door. Pressing the towels down onto Arcades wound. The blood began to slowly be absorbed by the towels. "We need someone to patch you up Cade. I'll go get someone. Hold onto the towels...and here." Sitting up, Tanya pulled out the Skorpion Sub machine pistol from the shoulder rig. Putting it into his hand she then said. "Its ready to fire. Its on Full auto. When we survive this ordeal, I will want my gun back." Getting up, she ran to find someone to help patch him. She had a hard time finding someone. Now irritated and on the second floor, she yelled. "Where the fuck is everyone that has medical training?!? Cade is injured!"
