Thadd pulled up to the front drive of the farm. He turned off the bike and slope climbed off. Making sure to grab his gun he hacked the clip and pointed at the steps leading to door. He looked back at Matt as he grabbed his pack and roll from his bike. Placing it on his back he climbed up the steps to the porch.
"Alright so we need to clear it out. We'll check the first floor first, sweep the rooms. From there we can move up, sweep the bedrooms, finally the cellar. Raised house, it will have a cellar. There's the barn and shed out back, we can check those later. We just do a sweep now, we can look for supplies later. Open every door, closet, check every corner, leave no place empty. Don't make much noise," Thad said quietly, "you got all that."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 10, 2016 19:04:44 GMT -5
Matt let go of Thadd his waist en got off the bike. “Riding on the bike is quiet relaxing if you ask me.” he said as he looked at Thadd with a smile. He then followed Thadd and stepped up the porch. He listened with full attention as Thadd explained the plan and nodded as he asked if he knew what to do. “Yup, sweep first floor, move up clear bedrooms and end with cellar and make sure to look in every corner, closet, etc… .” Matt said.
He waited for Thadd to take lead and he would followed. “I suppose it’s best to use the melee weapons and no guns, due to the sound.” He asked just to make sure they were on the same page. “I know it’s what most people do and it’s the smartest thing, but I just want to make sure I followed your rules.” He added.

"Better with a girl around your waist," Thad said calmly. It made him think of Becky, they were going timbre recruiters. Go on the bike, stop at farms and bring people back. He frowned, it would never happen now. Becky and him were done, they would have to find other ways to bring people to the farm. Him finding Matt was a start.
"Yeah Melee works," Thad said nodding. He didn't have one, but he could use the butt of his gun for now. Thad quickly climbed the steps, he banged the gun against the door. Listening into it he heard no growl or sound. Holding up his hands he out three fingers. He lowered one, down to two. Then one, as the last finger dispersed into a fist he opened the door and entered into the first room. It was a laundry room, a stairway going down offal the left. On the right it lead to a kitchen, an island visible.
Thad swept forward into the kitchen. The open layout of the house made it easy to navigate. In the kitchen there was a table against a window, counters lining one wall, cupboard on the left. A firidge and another counter were on either side of the entry way. A living room was off to the side, two easy boys and an old TV.
Beside the cupboard at the entry way was a door, beyond that stairs leading up to the first floor. Thad gripped the door of the stairway, holding his gun tight. He looked back at Matt. "There should be a bathroom on the first floor, check through the living room or the room we came through.

Matt just smiled as Thadd said it felt better with a girl around his waist. “I can imagine.” He said with a smile. Then it was getting serious Thadd agreed on melee and readied himself. Mat watched Thadd his fingers as they counted down from three to one, with the last finger down Thadd kicked open the door. Matt quickly followed him inside and scanned the area.
Matt nodded as Thadd told him what to check out. “I’ll check the room we came in and go to the bathroom.” he replied and made his way back. He didn’t see any movement and headed to the bathroom, but watched his steps, he didn’t want to be surprised. Slowly he reached the bathroom, he grabbed the doorknob and slowly turned it around. He peeked inside and it looked safe, but just then he heard growling. Matt kicked open the door and a bash was heard. He stepped inside and saw he knocked a walker in the bathtub, by kicking the door. “Score.” He said with a smile and then planted his wrist weapon in the walker his head. He checked the room and all he could open was a medicine cabinet, so he did. He noticed some pills, bandages and some other stuff. “I’ll tell Thadd and come back for it when we cleared the house.” Matt thought. He looked around one more time and when he knew it was clear, he walked out and tried to find Thadd again.

Thadd watched Matt run off, watching his back as he disappeared into the room. He trusted the kid not to steal his bike, not that he could start it anyway. Thadd moved along the kitchen, he opened cupboards and drawers. Lots of cooking wear, dishes, silverware. Going to the far cupboard he opened it, it was a pantry. The pantry was fully stocked, floor to ceiling. There were cans, boxes. It smelt of sugar and flour, baking ingredients. Thadd grabbed a bag of chocolate chips, tossing them on the island.
He saw Matt there, "what was in the bathroom," he asked calmly. He looked at the door leading upstairs. "Let's keep moving. Watch out for more sinners." He moved through the open door and up the stairs. They took a sharp right run before leading up even further. Thad saw the rooms up above, five, no six closed doors. Most likely all bedrooms, maybe a closet, and a bathroom.
"Check each one, one at a time. You ready," he asked Matt. Thadd opened the first room to find nothing, s flowery bedspread with ugly wall paper. He left the door open and went to the next one. Tossing it open he found the same as the first, empty.
"Four more, check the next one. I doubt we'll have any trouble, no reason the sinners would be closed off."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 18, 2016 19:37:09 GMT -5
Matt walked back in and saw Thadd throwing the chocolate crisps on the island. “Nice one.” he said with a smile. Matt heard Thadd asking what he found in the bathroom. “killed a walker and found some medication, but left it there, since you said to clear the place first.” he replied.
Matt nodded as Thadd told him to keep going and watch out for more dead bastards. They walked upstairs and Matt followed closely. Matt scanned the area and counted six rooms. “Each three to check, would be logical” Matt thought. It seemed Thadd had the same plan, he told Matt to check each one at a time and asked him is he was ready. Matt nodded, so Thadd knew he was ready, he then watched how Thadd opened the first two doors and asked him to take the next one.
Matt walked to the newt door and opened it, it was a bathroom sort alike to the other one, this one was empty, no walkers. “Safe, but probably worth checking it, when we are done, I mean for medical supplies.” Matt said as he walked to the next one. He opened the door and immediately noticed the room belonged to a kid, it had toys, little bed, etc… . But Then Matt noticed the blood on the floor, he felt sad, blood in a child his room, felt so wrong even after seeing so much shit, it stil felt wrong. “It…. It’s safe here.” he said softly. “Ready for the next one?” he asked in the same soft tone.

"We'll grab it later. Not like so,some will take it before us," He said making his way up the stairs. They had cleared four of the six rooms. The ones Matt opened just a bathroom, Thadd hoped to find more medical supplies in their. The last had baby toys, a kids room. It was stained with blonde, quite disturbing. But he didn't see a body, or a corpse, and that scared him.
The toys had no use, yet Thadd still thought they should check it later. They would have children on the farm soon. Abby was pregnant, as well as three others. They may need these soon, even if just a little bit of them. Thadd made his way to the last door and put his ear to it. No sound came, it was empty.
He pulled the door open to a large master bedroom, dressers and closets lining the walls. "Empty," he said calmly, "we'll come back after we check the cellar. Thadd maneuvered toward the last door. Pulling it open he found it to just be a closet, filled with towels and blankets. They needed the blankets if they could transport them.
He made his way down the stairs again, through both the kitchen and the entry room. He passed the bathroom Matt had cleared. He saw the walker in the tub. It was old, decaying a while. Someone had trapped it in their, but who?"
He opened the door to the cellar and made his way down, it was dark, he could barely see anything. Light came from a few windows, making shadows of the shelves and pantries. Thadd flicked the light on his gun on. It lit up the room, a narrow tunnel of light.
What it lit up most was walkers, two of them. One was just a torso, not yet decayed, it wore a hoodie, young man, but he was a fresh kill. He other was that of a kid, it's skin rotten and hanging, dead for a long time. There was another corpse of a kid on the ground, a walker killed. Thad couldn't take them out, not without shooting, or without depleting the light source.
"Matt, can you take them out, I'll keep my light on them."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 19, 2016 19:56:31 GMT -5
Matt tried to stay focused, it was hard after the room and the blood, but he shook it off. He looked at Thadd as he checked the last doors, both safe. They would come back later to get the stuff they actually needed. Mat then followed Thadd since the cellar was their next stop.
Moments later they reached the door, which Thadd opened. It was dark and hard to see what was inside, it got better when Thadd used the light on his gun. They saw 3 bodies, two walkers and one not moving. Matt was disgusted and sad by what he just saw. The young man wasn’t bad, but the two kids, like earlier the room, Matt did his best to focus and shake it off, but being so cold, was nothing like Matt. Just then he heard how Thadd asked if he could take care of them. Matt didn’t want to look weak, since he wanted to join the community, so he nodded. “Yeah got them.” He said as he made his way downstairs. He planted his weapon in the head of what was left of the young man, killing it. Then he pulled it out and with a wave of his arm, he killed the one behind him, again by a stab in the head. Matt looked around trying not to think to much, about the kids and how they died. He saw some cans with food, which was positive. “Think there is some food left here.” He said looking at Thadd.
Post by Thaddeus Walker on Jan 19, 2016 21:10:35 GMT -5
Thadd watched Matt take care of the two walkers. The threat was gone, and they could grab everything they could. The walkers were disturbing, mouth he could overlook them for now, pretend the didn't exist. The young man who had been eaten had a pack on his back. Thadd rushed down and pulled it off. He walked forward and opened it up.
It was filled with standard survivor supplies, some clothes, a few food items. There was a flashlight, and some bottles of pills. He shone his light on the shelves, seeing the cans Matt spoke of. He quickly shoved them into the bag and checked for anything else useful. He saw some. Expired pickles self canned on another shelf, and a couple two letters of soda.
"Grab those," he said pointing to the soda as he made his was upstairs. Back in the kitchen he set the bag beside the chocolate chips he grabbed earlier. Seeing Matt enter he looked up,
"We need more bags, something to put everything in. Let's check the cupboards in here, and the. Grab whatever you found in the bathroom." He paused. "We can go over the rooms upstairs after."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 20, 2016 19:33:41 GMT -5
Matt watched Thadd, come down, he grabbed the pack of the young man and started to collection the useful things. Matt nodded as Thass asked to grab the soda. “Got them.” He said grabbing them and Joining Thadd upstairs.
Thadd said they needed more bags and Matt agreed. “Indeed, we do.” he replied. Matt then nodded as Thadd said to check the cupboards. After that he did as asked and started searching the cupboards. It didn’t take long, all of them seemed empty, in some of were some cleaning products. “Think we need these?” Matt asked with a smile as he showed Thadd. Not waiting for an answer he placed it back and walked over to the last cupboard. He could swear he heard a choir sing Hallelujah, as he found two other backpacks. “Bingo.” He said. “I think they kept their hunting equipment here.” Matt said as he searched the backpack and noticed guns, ammo and some knives. He closed it an grabbed the backpacks. “Here we go, I’ll get the stuff from the bathroom.” He said placing the backpacks at Thadd his feet.
Matt made his way to the bathroom, opened the cabinet again and grabbed everything what was in, then he headed back and placed it all on the island. “That’s all." he said looking at Thadd.
Post by Thaddeus Walker on Jan 21, 2016 0:13:37 GMT -5
Thadd searched the cupboards. Most were empty, cleaned out. By the layer of dust it wasn't recent, but within the last month. Who ever cleared the shelves was in a rush. If he had to guess it was someone who was with the fresh mil down stairs. They cleared this floor, took what they could. Then one went to go check the cellar. He bit the dust, and probably screamed for help. His friends trapped the one sinner in the washroom and fled, leaving their friend to die. But it was just a guess. They weren't here long, mad they missed some of the food.
Thadd set out a box of crackers, something that looked like icing, and a bottle of cooking wine. Together with the chocolate chips, the cans, and the soda, it was a decent haul. May not feed everyone, but Louis could use it to cook something. Matt asked about cleaning supplies, and Thadd looked up.
"No we don't need them. Unless there's laundry detergent. Can't remember if we're running out on the last run to the river," he said calmly. He watched Matt produce two more backpacks. They were sturdy, must have been one of the friends of the guy downstairs. One was meant for a kid,mp ossicle it was for a hunter.
Thadd dumped the contents out on the counter. There was a box of shells, couldn't fit any of the guns here. A few other rounds for a revolver, Max could use those. Some loaded clips that went along with the 9mm in the bag was also present. He picked it up, checking the sights. "Who hunts with a pistol," he asked calmly, placing it beside the ammo. "I don't like it, seems to easy."
Thadd rummaged around and grabbed some of the knives. One was a skinning knife, a hunting tool. There was a pocket knife, and a buck knife as well. Besides that the bag had a few books, novels, and some candy bars. It was hard to tell where it came from. He put all the ammo and weapon in the kids bag and closed it up.
"Fill the one we pulled off the guy downstairs with the food and medicine. We can save the other for anything upstairs. Let's hope these people like to travel and had some suitcases or a duffle bag," he said slinging the bag full of ammo and guns on his back. He grabbed the empty bag. "Take it all with you, leave nothing out in the open."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 23, 2016 18:09:07 GMT -5
Matt watched as Thadd turned around the backpack above the counter. “Nice, way easier, to check.” Matt said as he stood besides Thadd. He nodded as Thadd spoke how he disliked hunting with a gun. “I know, I don’t like it either, but maybe less experienced people?” Matt asked. He watched as Thadd checked the knives and found some books and candy bars. “Well if you find something usable it’s always good.” He said.
Matt listened to Thadd as he asked to fill the back pack of the man, with food and medicine and warned him to take everything, so nothing would be out in the open. “Alright.” Matt replied friendly. Then he started to fill the backpack, when everything was in the pack, he swung it on his back and followed Thadd.

"I don't know, they make rifles for kids, easy for them. A handgun, that just seems like bad sport," Thadd said closing up the bag, "but I wouldn't know. I grew up around gangbangers and gangsters. People carried pistols and Uzis everyday. It was common, I hated it. None of it was legal, I'm not a hunter, never he the opportunity in the city."
He climbed the stairs once Matt filled the bag. He moved to the first room they cleared, and opened all the closet and drawers. It was filled with clothes, all looked really big, and he doubted it would fit anyone on the farm. There were no women that size, maybe the pregnant ones. He pulled a shirt off a hanger and tossed it on the bed. As he searched the drawers he grabbed a few of the wool socks to add to his pack. In the top drawer, he found exactly what he was looking for though, a revolver, old, and with no ammo, but it worked. He tucked it in his belt.
"Go search the bathroom, add any medicine and soap to your bag," he said to Matt, "I'll check the next room."
He grabbed a pair of sweatpants from he bottom drawer and added it to the shirt and socks. He went to the next room and pulled open the closet. It was filled with clothes as the first, made for a small man. It wouldn't fit him, but maybe some one like Corey, Tyler, or Matt. He pulled a few of the over shirts out, out and some outer shirts. Again he left them on the bed. On the bottom of the closet was a pair of boots, cowboy boots. They would be useful, looked sturdy. He tossed them with the clothes and went to heck the dresser.
He searched through it, finding what you would expect, ore clothes. This one lacked a gun, but had some books and papers. He left those, to much to carry. Leaning against the wall was a baseball bat, the glove and ball beside it. He grabbed the bat, would be a good weapon on the wall, or for s run. He added it to the bed and made his away to another closet.
Opening it up he found more clothes similar to the first. A hat sat on the top, baseball cap. He pulled it down and undid the back. Making it so it'd fit his head he pulled his hair back and slipped it on. It was snug, but protected him from the sun. Even in winter they had lots of it. Thadd pulled a few more shirts from the closet, adding the, to the bed. At the bottom he found a backpack, a sports one. It was empty. He quickly shoved the clothes into it. Grabbing the bat he went to the first room to add the clothes to the bag.
"Check the closet in the hall too. Look for a suitcase, or duffle bag, something to carry more clothes and stuff in it. I found a bag, and added some pants and shirts for the farm."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 25, 2016 19:23:19 GMT -5
Matt followed Thadd as they entered the first room they cleared. As Thadd checked the closets, Matt looked around. He spotted some bloodstains on the walls, Matt figured that someone must have had a fight with a walker or something up here. He looked back at Thadd as he asked him to searc the bathroom for soap and medicine. “Alright.” Matt said with a nod and walked out.
He entered the bathroom and walked over to the medicine cabinet, this one had a mirror in the doors and was above the little sink. Matt looked at how horrible he looked, he had been alone for so long and didn’t find many places where he could clean himself up. “I hope I can join this group, I need a steady place, where I can sort of start a new normal life.” Matt thought. “Well not normal normal, but something close.” He thought.
Matt then shook his head to regain his focus, he opened the cabinet, but didn’t find a thing. “They must have put all the medicine in the bathroom downstairs.” He said to himself. He then lowered himself to the small cabinet under the sink. There he found some shower gel , he grabbed it, other than that there was nothing useful.
Just as he was about head back to Thadd he heard him, asking if he could check the hall closet for some more bags. “Alright, I found some shower gel, other than that, nothing useful.” Matt replied before putting the gel on the floor. “Left the gel here, can you put it in one of the bags?” Matt asked. Then he made his way to the closet, it looked old, bit antique, so probably expensive. Matt opened it and heard the sharp sound. The first thing he saw was some jackets, seemed handy, for when someone was cold. He grabbed them and threw them on the floor, close to him. The bottom of the closet was empty, but when he looked up, he saw a duffle bag. Matt pulled it off, but the shelf came loose and fell down. The shark edge nearly hit Matt on his head, but he jumped out of the way right in time. “Too close.” He said to himself. He quickly grabbed the duffle bag and put the jackets in it.
Matt then walked back to Thadd. “Got a duffle bag and some jackets.” He said as he walked in the room.
Post by Thaddeus Walker on Jan 25, 2016 22:53:14 GMT -5
"Makes sense I guess. Probably had it in another location too, but we don't have time to check," Thadd said packing up the last of the clothes. He walked out, "tuck the gel into your pack. With the food." He waited for Matt to come out, watching him check the closet. It was built into the house, and old door covering it.
"Jackets are good. We need them there's only so many on the farm. We were able to give everyone one, took most of summer to collect. We could always use some more. Some are thin, and we only have so much fire to keep warm." He looked at the bag. "We should clear the next rooms. Head into the main bedroom and I'll check that kids room."
He waited for Matt to enter his before going to the kids room. He looked at the blood stain wanting to leave, but he knew he had to check it. He didn't expect to find anything, but had something in mind to grab.
He immediately went to the closet tossing it open. It was filled with kids clothes, miso different sizes. They were meant for older children, eight or nine. But he found what he was looking for at the bottom. It was a pink suitcase, Disney princesses on the front. He pulled it out throwing it behind him.
Thadd then walked over to a toy chest. He opened it up and started adding them to the suitcase. They were old, probably from when the kids were younger. Probably kept them as momentous from when they were young. There was a stuffed animal some kind of stuffed squirrel. There was a some blocks, a rubber toy of some kind. Besides that there was a robot, plastic made. He went to the closet again. Reaching up he pulled s few blankets down adding them to the suitcase.
He then quickly did it up, making his way to the other room. Setting the suitcase down at the door. "Found another case,"'he said calmly, "added some personnel stuff, for a kid on the farm. And a few blankets."
He entered the room. It was salacious, a large dresser covering one side of the wall, a TV sitting on top of it. There was a walk in closet off the left side of the entrance, the bed on the right. Straight ahead was a seating space, a large window behind it. He could see the barn from here,ms garage off to the side.
He looked around. "Let's grab some clothes, see if there's anothe bag to add them to. I don't think we can carry all these on the bike. In the morning we'll have to find so, way to carry them. Maybe the truck has a car, or a trailer."
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 27, 2016 0:08:33 GMT -5
Matt grabbed the shower gel form the spot where h left it and put in the his bag, like Thadd asked. Then he nodded as Thadd asked him to check the main bedroom. “Will do.” Matt replied. Then he walked over to the door and walked in the bedroom.
Once inside he saw the double bed, he figured the parents of the kids slept here. The blankets on the bed where shredded, Matt walked closer as he wondered why. “Guess they could have used it to take care of a wound.” Matt said to himself. Then he focused again and started looking for useful things. First the nightstands, he opened the one at the left side and found some books, he didn’t take them and closed the door. He walked over to the right side opening the other nightstand, inside he found some condoms. Matt chuckled “Not exactly what I needed, but I’ll l take them, you never know who of my hopefully new group might need them, or if i might need them” Matt said once more to himself with a chuckle as he grabbed the condom and tossed the in the bag. Other than that he saw nothing useful, so he closed the door and walked over to the big closet.
He opened it, but most of the clothes were gone. “Hmm did they try to leave?” Matt asked himself. “Or worse robbed.” He added. He closed the doors, and walked over to the large dresser. Then Thadd walked in, who told him he grabbed some stuff for a kid on the farm. Matt gave him a smile and a thumbs up. “Nice man.” he said. “Still have to check this large dresser and the walk in closet.” He said as he looked at Thadd. “Checked that closet and the night stands, but other than condoms nothing really useful.” He added with a chuckle. “Maybe we can take the tv.” Matt joked.
Then he nodded as Thadd said they should take some clothes and find a bag to put them in, he also said they should check for a new vehicle. “Sound like a plan.” Matt replied. Then he went back to searching, he opened the first drawer, it was filled with boxers and socks. He grabbed some and placed them in his bag. “Any luck on finding another bag?” Matt asked.
Post by Thaddeus Walker on Jan 27, 2016 10:33:32 GMT -5
Thad looked further around the room. He noticed the blanket, that it was torn. He immediately thought it looked like an attack, but the more he examined the more it just looked old and tattered, well used. Maybe a favourite one, it looks soft. He looked at the closet seeing it was empty. Who ever was in here left right away,. Being robbed didn't make sense. Who ever was here downstairs left in s hurry, never made it up. So they left, but leaving the kids?
He noticed a picture on the nightstand. It was a couple, older than him, Brian's age, there were two young kids, and a teenage boy beside them. The teenage boy resembled the walker Matt took down in the tub, the kids obviously the ones downstairs. So when the kids died the parents fled, taking only there stuff. Yet they left the kids hunting bag. The pistol made sense, it was probably the teenage kids, hidden there, parents didn't know about it.
"We have one bag left," he said calmly, '"we can cram the rest with the jackets. I doubt we'll find much though. The parents cleared out there room and left," he quickly pulled open the drawers to find them bare as the closet. "Not even underwear and socks."
He quickly closed them. There was a box of jewelry in the dresse, over flowing with necklaces and earrings. He quickly grabs some, a simple silver chain, a black stone necklace with a jade pendent, and finally one that was string but had a glass pink flower on the end, he didn't know why he took them, he just did. He could see Becky wearing all three and quickly shook his head at the thought of her.p
"No TV sorry. He have a generator, but it's Hooked up to lights, and the odd cooking thing. We use it sparingly. Gas isn't the easiest to find anymore."
Moving to the walk-in closet he pulled it open. It was filled with mostly formal clothes, a suit, dresses, that kind of stuff, there was some boxes at the end, cardboard. He walked forward pulli them out. They were marked junk, antiques, and dad.
"Let's open these up." He pulled oped the first box marked junk. It was filled with just that, a broken clock, a wooden duck, some kind of yarn scarf such he pulled out and set aside. There was papers, a rock, and a photo album.
"Next one up," he opened antiques to find a tea set, kettle. Cups, plates, silverware. They were old, probably a family heirloom,
Last box was he one marked dad. He opened the lid to find a civil war hat. It didn't make sense that this would have been the father he saw in the photo. Or even the father before that. The suit was orgiinal, thick heavy. It was from an ancestor, under the suit was an old faded photograph of a man, in the uniform. It was dated the day the civil war ended, a North and south soldier standing side by side, arm sround one another.
Beside the paper was a pistol, flint pistol. He doubt it worked. But the next thing was what he was after. It was a civil war sabre, in a sheath, he pulled it out. "Look at this. I've never seen anything like it. I bet this could do some damage."
He set it aside and stood up. "Well if we are going to stay the night we should pick rooms. The two with ugly wall paper look good. They were the cleanest. Or we could camp out in the living room. Stay together. I saw a fireplace, looks real, bet they had chopped wood in the garage or shed."
He rubbed his beard. "Put the uniform in with the jackets, take the sabre if you want it. The pistol too if you think it won't explode upon firing,"
He made his way to the door, On my way! Bag on his back, one under his arm, he held one in his right hand, the gun strapped across his chest, he made his way downstairs stopping to pick up the link suitcase with his right hand as he did,
Post by Matthew Ackles on Jan 27, 2016 18:41:03 GMT -5
Matt watched as Thad looked at the picture, he just stayed back, he didn’t want to know who lived here, Matt had no problem with killing walkers, but he didn’t need to know the back story or try and figure it out, so he just waited for Thad.
He nodded as Thad told him to put the remaining stuff in the bag with jackets. He also told him they wouldn’t find much more not even socks or underwear. “Well I just grabbed some from the first drawer, it’s already in the bag.” Matt replied. As he searched for more things they could use, he saw Thad grab the jewelry. “You trying to become a drag queen.” Matt joked. “Only joking by the way, don’t want to piss you off.” he added right after.
Then Matt was a bit surprised as Thad told him they had a generator. “I was only joking about the television, but a generator, that’s great.” he said. Matt then followed Thad in the walk in closet. He saw a lot of fancy things, but non usable in the apocalypse. “Don’t think it would be wise to fight a walker in these suits.” Matt joked once more.
He then nodded as Thad spoke about opening up the boxes. He stood next to him as he opened them. Matt grabbed the scarf he managed to find, so he could put in the bag later. The next box was full of antiques like it said. “Nothing usable huh.” Matt stated. Then they went on to the last box, which had a bunch of good stuff, including a uniform, sabre and pistol. “Indeed, it’s a nice weapon.” Matt replied as Thad told him the sabre would be able to do a lot of damage. When they were done, Thad got up, and asked where he wanted to spend then night, in a room or together in the living room. “If you don’t mind i rather stick together.” Matt replied. “Like you said, the fireplace would be nice, we should be able to get it going.” He added.
Then he once more nodded as Thad asked to put the uniform in the bag with jackets. “I’ll gladly take the sabre, don’t need the pistol.” He replied with a smile as he was happy with the new weapon. Matt put the scarf, the uniform and the pistol in the bag. He swung it over his shoulder and grabbed the sabre. Then he followed Thad downstairs.

"Do I look like a drag queen to you," Thadd asked calmly, glancing over. He was s big guy, by no means the physic of a drag queen. His hair was long though, but a long beard to match. His eyes were hidden behind his sunglasses, as he simply turned away. "Actually, don't answer that." He paused. "Never know when I might need them. You fuck up, you need a gift for them. Women man."
Back downstairs he set the bags in the living room. There was a tv in the corner, three lazy boys chairs instead of a couch, all in the side corners. The fire pace was on the far side, next to the tv. Thadd stretched his arms, setting the gun on the lazy boy closest to the fireplace. He grabbed the best, swung it around with one hand as he looked at Matt.
"Let's go look out in the shed. See if we can find some wood to heat this place." He grabbed the gun, strapping the start around his shoulder. "Leave everything here, we'll be back. I doubt it will go anywhere."
He moved back through the kitchen to the laundry room. Thad went out the door, walking towards the shed he saw from the upstairs window. There was a garage too, and a barn. They could check those after, or later if the wished. For now they needed fire in the house, some water or something to keep hydrated.

Matt chuckled a little when Thad asked if he looked like a drag queen and immediately added he shouldn’t answer the question. “I won’t.” he replied still laughing a bit. He agreed as Thad talked about women. “Got a good point.” he replied with a smile.
"That would be nice, yes.” Matt replied as Thad said they should check for wood. Then he followed Thad, making their way outside to the shed. It looked pretty steady, it wouldn’t be the first time something like that would collapse, from just being old, but this one looked good. He got in attack position, since you never know what is behind doors, these days. He waited for Thad to open the door.
