Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Growing up in the French Quarter of New Orleans was never dull. Always something to do, people to meet. Victor grew up helping his father and mother at the family business, an automotive and heavy diesel machine garage. Cleaning up the shop after hours until he was 12. From there his father began to teach Victor after school how to fix up cars, pick up trucks and even how to fix Semi truck's. When Victor wasn't needed at the shop, he taught himself how to hunt, trap and fish to supply the house with food. For every kind person, there's always an evil sort to follow. At the age of 16, in high school was a bully named Mark Everst, nicknamed The Mountain because of his size. Stood at 6'5" making Victor the second tallest in the school. Mark tried most of the school yard to pick on and even fight Victor. But Victor simply ignored him. One day out of frustration, Mark followed Victor to his families shop where he shoved Victor from behind. Dropping his school bag onto the floor, Victor slammed himself into the bully making him fall backwards. When the bully gotten back up, he pulled out his switch blade and slashed Victors left cheek. Seeing his own blood, Victor grabbed one of his father's heavy diesel wrench and swung it at Mark's hand. The heavy wrench hit with such force, it broke the bullies wrist forcing him to drop the knife and run. Later on that night, when the cops were at the family shop talking to Victor, his father pulled up from fixing a broke down Petterbelt Semi outside of New Orleans. When asked, Victor told what had happened and all the problems the other students and himself were having. One of the Officers took Victor to the hospital to get the wound checked out. Soon word spread across the French Quarter of what had happened to Victor and how he stood up against an armed bully with a heavy wrench. Because of the ordeal, the Everest Family was forced to move out of state because of their spoiled rotten son Mark. At the age of 18, Victor graduated High school and went straight into college looking to become a Doctor. After a few years of him going through it, him and few class mates talked about going into the armed forces because they would be able to go around the world and meet even more people. Victor then left college and signed up into the army. Boot camp was hell for him since he was the only one from his class to actually sign up. After doing his time in Boot camp, his Drill Instructor gave out the announcements of their duties and to what division. When Victor was called, the Drill Instructor said, " Private Victor Crow, Combat Medic. Your being shipped out tonight to Afghanistan with the 7th Calvary."
While in Afghanistan, Victor went into combat with his division. Helping those that gotten injured by shrapnel or even gun shot wounds. On one such incident, he was working as fast as he could in a fox hole to save the life of his Platoon's commanding officer. After he patched up the gun shot wound on the officer's arm, a teen aged man ran up to him and shot victor a few times in the back with a small caliber handgun. The vest took most of the blows, but it forced him to fall forward. Pulling out his side arm, he rolled and unloaded his clip into the chest of the kid. The kid had to be no more then 17 years of age. Victor stood up sore from the shots in the back, and helped the commander when the word was given to fall back to the Fire base. Both of them hopped into the Humvee with what was left the squad and floored it. The Humvee they jumped into had no doors because the night before they took them out for this was supposed to be a regular scouting mission and figured it be easier for them not to have the doors on so they can get in and out of the vehicle fast. On their way back, an RPG exploded on the ground on the right side of the Hummer sending Victor out tumbling. A piece of shrapnel that was on the ground dug into Victor's left shoulder. Gun fire began to erupt every where as Insurgents poured out of the village after the 7th Calvary's retreat. Picking himself up, he began to provide cover fire forcing the enemy to take cover. The hummer stopped and the .50 caliber Machine Gun began blasting rounds to help Victor. Running for his life, he jumped into the vehicle. The driver then floored it as the gunner kept up the fire. Upon returning to base, the Humvee was greeted by field Medics who took the wounded. Victor was one of them, even after telling them to take the Commander first. The shrapnel was removed from his shoulder leaving it scarred for life. Before his unit was sent back state side, he had received many more scars riddling his torso from gun fire and grenade shrapnel. Because of his Heroic acts of Courage and aiding fallen soldiers, he received the medal of honor and was promoted to Lieutenant.
When the 7th Calvary returned to the United states, they were assigned to help train would be soldiers at Fort Bragg who haven't seen combat yet. Victor's job was to train the new Combat Medics of his way of treating those injured on the front lines. This would go on for the next few years up until the Outbreak.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
The day of the Outbreak, news and orders came out like a storm. That the undead were rising and feasting on the living. The 7th Calvary was ordered to go to Washington DC where they were to protect the President and his Cabinet. Once he was lead to safety, they were to go and evacuate Congress and the House of Representatives. From Fort Bragg, the 7th Calvary rode into Washington in a few Black hawks. The site above was grizzly since the armed forces around the White house were engaged firing at the Outbreak. The helicopters landed on the front lawn. The unit pilled out and began to aid what was left of the military forces at the gates. Since Victor was the commanding officer of the unit, he ran into the white house and escorted the President to one of the helicopters. Ordering a few men from the front line to pile in, he watched a few of his men and the President fly up and away from the hot zone. Since that objective was now done, he ran to the front as the rest of the Joint Chief of Staff piled into the remaining helicopters and ordered them to take off without the soldiers. The wounded began to stack up and Victor had to get to work. Working from Victim to Victim, he tried to keep up as best as he could. But shortly after he treated one of his own soldiers, the gates began to fall. Seeing this, he gave the order to scatter and fall back to the Senate Building where they were to follow out their second objective. Him and a few members of his squad made a B line across the lawn towards an opening of the fence. It had a few walkers, nothing they couldn't handle. Blasting their way through, they had to make the journey across DC on foot. Every now and then, the squad would run across more of the unit or from other branches and rested for a bit. Word came across their walkies. "Avoiding The senate building the the House of Representatives, they have fallen. Repeat, Do not go to -Walkie Cuts out.-" Hearing the final orders, they now were in the middle of Hell and they only had one way out. Running out of the state as fast and as hard as they could.
The death tolls rose as they made their way out. Not knowing what to do or where to go, the unit broke up and went back to their home towns to find out what has happened to their loved ones and to see if they can get them to a military base for safety. Victor had to stop at a military base for some extra ammo and medical supplies. The base he had walked into was empty. No soldiers, no civilian contractors. No body. Scavenging what he could, he packed up everything he could carry into a back pack along with his Medical bag. All but one Humvee was gone. Getting into it, he had hot wired it and left. He had only one place in mind, and that was New Orleans. But since most of the highways and interstate roads were jammed up, he was forced to take side roads and back wood roads. It took him five days to drive. New Orleans wasn't in any better then it was all over the United states now. Getting out of the Hummer, he took all of his gear and ran across the French Quarter to find that the Family shop was burnt down and his mother and father were laying on the side walk dead. Someone told him that a riot broke out killing. Looting, mass mobs, public executions. Both Jack and Jennifer Crow tried to protect what was their's, but died in the process. Taking his parents bodies, he went to the local cemetery and barred them. Remembering of a place his father use to take him to go hunting, Victor set out and went outside of New Orleans where there was a Farm house. Him and Jack used it as a resting place when they were out in the woods hunting. The house much like the military base in Maryland was Empty. People had taken almost everything inside that was edible. But there was still some food stashed away in case of emergency that they couldn't get out of the area for a few months. Canned food was what he could find such as mixed vegetables, different fruits, and even canned meats.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Staying low in the house, he had kept his living as peaceful as he could. Going into town for an occasional supply run for more medical supplies of the local hospital that has been now shut down. Victor hasn't tried to hook up with anyone so far, and thought about it for a couple of weeks now. But every now and then a few people would try to break into his house and steal his belongings. So, he had to take care of them instead of them slitting his throat. Word slowly spread of a lone Army man with medical training living out in the woods. For the last two years, people with injures would come to the end of the wood line seeking some help from him. With his Scar H and medical bag in hand, he would do what he was trained to do. Aid the wounded and try to help those that were sick. For those that were dying, he made what was left of their lives as pleasant and peaceful as he could with the Morphine he had stashed away. Recently, a thug came to his steps seeking for aid. When Victor let him inside, the man pulled a knife and tried to kill Victor. His boot camp training kicked in as he avoided the blade. Taking out his dagger, he proceeded to have a fight in the living room with this man. It was either him or the thug. When Victor avoided a swipe of the combat knife the thug was using, Victor grabbed the man by the wrist and sliced from the mans wrist to his elbow. Making him bleed out badly. As the thug tried to run for the front door, Victor took out his M-9 and shot the man in the head. The thug's body hit the ground as blood and brains splattered the front door, walls and the floor. That night, Victor cleaned up the mess, leaving the dead body out back. This is where his story begins in, The Walking Dead: Survival.
