It's been two weeks since they arrived at Colette's bar. Holly managed to remove the bullet from Andrei's leg on the way not without pain, however. He refrained from using all the morphine he had left, choosing to endure a bit more, but to have one last dose just in case. Needless to say, he slept like a log after that incident. Thankfully, the bullet didn't do that much damage; they probably tried to recycle some used ammo and put insufficient powder inside the casing. Still hurt, though. Not long after, they got Anthony back and he looked like shit, giving Andrei and Dan quite a lot of work. In the end, he didn't talk to Ant about the incident, but did apologize to Dan and thanked him for his help. Being the only one who actually knew what he was doing when it came to medicine was fantastic. It meant that he could actually give his leg some time to heal. Unfortunately, during this time, Kim died from her wound despite their best efforts, and took one of Colette's people with her.
Holly's been invaluable these past couple of days. She rarely left Andrei's side, and took great care to make sure he wasn't pushing himself too much and keeping of the injured leg. At a glance, it looked fine, just a scar, but it still gave him some discomfort, the muscles needing a bit more time to heal properly. The peaceful atmosphere meant it did wonders for his overall energy level, since he could properly rest now. As per usual, he woke up with a hot cup of tea next to his bed and Holly at a table taking inventory. Andrei rubbed his eyes and stretched, glancing at the supplies on the table. Not that much left. Good thing he started recycling a few odds and ends some time ago, but they'd still have to make a supply run. To him Dan didn't seem like the most field capable person, and describing what he needed would take too long.
Turning on his side, he sat on the bed, and spoke to Holly. "Morning." He sipped from the steaming cup, and using a crutch he improvised from an old broom that had long lost its hairs, moved closer to her. "How're things looking?" he asked. "I'm guessing well have to do a supply run soon. We still have the empty saline bags, right? I'll need to talk to Colette and her people about refilling them. I'll see how our patients are doing later and probably reduce the dosages to the bare minimum, might buy us a little more time." He took sips from the cup of tea intermittently, holding the crutch tightly, but more as a habit than need. The leg was still a bit sore and hurt, but it wasn't unbearable.
