Sam kept backing away more and more from the group. Arden was fighting with almost all the men in the group. She watched the poor science guy go down on his ass.
Sam was shaking and cradling her arm against her chest. It hurt like a bad toothache, that pulse and throb. Sam watched Damon come in, and shook her head. This wasn't Damon, her Damon. He was being so cold and mean. His face looked almost cruel, the expression was hard and unwavering.
"STOP THIS!" Arden said Acer wasn't going to hurt her, that he just wanted James." You don't know shit!" She glared at Arden," that man would have let his men use me and that freak he gave me to, he wanted to experiment on me!'she was loosing it. She glanced at all the males, only the one man was making sense." Fuck him, he wants to leave , let him go. He'll find out." She blinked and felt a flush rise to her cheeks. Then Sam felt a hand on her, a female, the one from the door she had recognized. Sam drew back from the touch, wincing a bit. The woman said for her to go with her, and Sam nodded.
Angel had given Nolan some ammo , then followed behind him, hearing the ruckus. She stood and stared , mouth slightly gaped open. God she was pissed! They had bigger things to deal with than this bullshit."REMY! " she yelled and watched the room. Her eyes scanned the faces," who ever he is, he goes! NOW! I don't give a shit if he's family or your fuck toy, he gets out, NOW! And that goes for the rest of you who don't wanna defend yourselves! Get out! " Angel was rigid,"Colette helped you assholes, gave you shelter for weeks, you ate up out resources, and now you all wanna turn around and have some bar room fucking brawl while we are being surrounded? Leave, get out then, right now, with what you have on you! " Angel smirked," and good luck with that!" She strode through the bar and shoved past the men, yanking open the front door," now either fight, or get the fuck out!"
Colette leaned against the wall and stared at the group gathered in the main room. She locked eyes on Angel and saw how pissed the smaller woman was. She knew Angel hadn't wanted her to bring the group within their fold, just like Cade hadn't, but she had done her best to keep her mouth shut and follow orders. Colette also knew that if they pushed her further, Angel was subject to just go ahead and blow someone's brains out.
Colette would have clapped, if she didn't have a bandaged arm. "Angel, enough." Her voice was low, but could be heard. She glanced around the room, eyes locked on Remy and Arden. Who the fuck was he? She saw Sam, being led through the room by Claira. Good, she was back . Claira would take care of her.
Colette looked at faces, one by one, "Close the door." She pushed off the wall, and moved unsteady into the room. Her words slurred a bit, but she fought to get her point across, "Acer won't care, anyone walks out of here, gonna be shot, or worse. Best thing is to work together and make a plan, get it together people." She stared at Remy, "We helped your people, if you wanna go, go, out the back, through the courtyard, maybe you will have a chance going by the dark alleys." She looked at Arden, "You think Acer is gonna let you walk, even if you hand over the men, he wil put a bullet in you and take Remy from you, rape her and turn her into a fuck toy." Colette shook her head, "but by all means, go ahead." She shook her head, "by helping you people, all of you, this is the thanks I get." She looked at Angel and Arcade, 'Maybe ya'll was right, should have let them all rot." She shook her head and laughed, "all I needed was the doctor, and he probably would have came on his own, eventually." She shook her head, "Angel, get our people armed, the rest can either get out, or fight, but if they leave, they go with what's on them, we ain't arming them, unless they standing with us." Her eyes were cold as ice as she let her gaze roam over each face, "ya'll got that, you leave, you take nothing! Not one fucking thing!" she smirked and laughed, 'this bullshit ends, right now. Ya'll got seconds to decide, and clocks ticking." She leaned back against Cade, needing his support or she might fall over, but she didn't want the group to see how weak she was.
If things could get worse, it did. The guy named Arden kept running his mouth then was tackled into a wall. The other guy had him in an arm bar, but still kept trying to fight. Then the guy with the rifle before rammed the butt of his rifle into Ardens gut. Someone else with a rifle shot into a wall. It was getting out of hand at the worst of times. An attack was immanent. Shaking his head be for Angel returned, he took his rifle off his shoulder and took up the staircase since it seemed no one was set up to defend from upstairs. Entering the first door to the left, he ran to the window and was facing the main street. Victor was a room away from the buildings corner.
Flipping the mattress off and then the wooden box spring, he set them both against the wall with the window. Then pushing both night stands up against the back of box spring, Victor had set up a makeshift wall to protect himself for a little bit when the bullets went flying. Placing the Scar H up and set, Victor looked down the sights to across the street where the cars lined up. It seemed that the enemy were hiding, waiting. But for what? "If they get in, I'm going to shoot that Arden myself for making this worst for us to set up our defences." Looking down at his gear, he noted he only had 60 rounds left for the assault rifle. He will either need to fire all his rounds then run to their supply room for more ammo, or he shouts out for it. Either way, he would have to leave this spot making it a weak point. Flipping the fire rate switch, he set the rifle for single shot. Best way to conserve assault weapons ammo, slow your fire rate and take your time. Make every shot count.

Damon stopped for a moment in all the fighting when he heard Sam and looked at her. Hearing what Acer wanted to do to her... it made him feel mixed emotions. He kept eye contact with her and ignored Angel and Collettes talks. Damon was trying to stop some Asshole harm the place and take Remy. Ofcourse he was staying. He didnt even look at Nolan
"Quite busy on the roof... maybe use a bedroom window upstairs... keep you covered and warm with the wound."
Damon intended to head upstairs but headed to Sam before she headed off with some woman. He wanted to check she was okay... but despite how calm he was in normal times, the actions of Acer lit a rage. He wanted to get Rollin'. But for now would be needed upstairs.
He headed down a coridoor near the stairs. He had to check on Samantha before he took to the roof. "Sam... Sam... You here?"
Tanya helped Sam to a ground floor bedroom that was past the stairs. She shook her head when the screaming escalated even more and she was starting to get a headache. Opening the door, she walked Sam to the bed and helped lay her down. Her eyes looked at the now swelling wrist. Sighing a bit she shook her head again. "You'll need to get that looked at. Ill go get someone. Be back in a bit." Leaving the room, she saw the one named Damon looking for Sam. Whisteling, Tanya pointed at the door and went looking for either Nolan or Victor. But when she returned to the bar area, she saw a bullet hole in the wall. Then Angel and Colette were giving out orders and making people to make the choice to fight or leave. Scanning the room, she saw Victor was gone but Nolan was still here. Walking up to him, she tugged at his sleeve and said. "Andrew, Sam needs to be looked at. I'm no doctor or nurse, but her wrist is swelling and is a deep red. Think you can look at it for a moment?"

The arm bar had been intended to calm Arden down, let him think and then get the ball rolling on a fight plan. Remy begged for him to let the damn fool go, another girl started yelling for everyone to get the fuck out. Making it seem like they had taken everyone in out of the goodness of their heart; acting as if they had not been pulling their weight while here. Dallas had wanted to leave a while ago. That prison he had come across would've been much better to defend than this place, but it was too far... Too many walkers they said. He had seen this coming, knew Acer would attack before long, and with full force.
Arden kept fighting, kept trying to claw and kick his stubborn ass out of the situation he was in. He wasn't going to listen to any of them, wasn't going to stop till he endangered them all and got himself killed. His hand reached around, tried to grab at Dallas' hair. When he couldn't, he tried to gouge out an eye. His thumb was there and Dallas felt him apply pressure.
POP!!! With a simple twist, Dallas had wrenched the man's arm out of socket. He let go of Arden, allowing him to fall to the ground. He would be in a lot of pain, but his fighting everyone would be done now. He turned to Remy. "Get a rope and tie him up." His tone was cold, he was clearly annoyed with this situation. Why the hell was her family so fucking stubborn?
But the women were right. They had to defend the place. "Now that that's over with, we should all take up defensive positions. There are Molotov's over there, grab 'em and get 'em upstairs, start handing them out." It was time to move and defend.
It might have seemed cruel to do what he did to Remy's cousin, but left unchecked, that man was gonna get people killed. He'd seen problems like this while in the army. And that's how they'd be handled. If someone was unwilling to calm down, you took away the danger they posed to the group.
He moved over and took one of the Molotov's himself before heading upstairs to the roof. That's where he'd throw the first one, and where he'd get the best vantage of where Acer's men were. He'd have a better idea of how to defend the place from there.
"Start flipping tables and mattresses. These walls aren't gonna hold out forever! He shouted to everyone before heading upstairs."

"Arden stop fighting!" Everyone was yelling and making threats and wanting to hurt her cousin. Of course, him being a complete ass to get her out of here wasn't helping, but he was blood over water and she had to defend him. Where the fuck was Luca? He had disappeared, probably off with Simon.
When Dallas popped Arden's arm out of the socket and left him on the floor, she helped pick him back up to get him out of this room and diffuse the situation. Arden was dead wrong on all this, but after Angel screamed at her and Colette offered a back door out, she couldn't help but consider his offer. He spoke about Ellie and the store being overrun. Everything was overwhelming her right now and she felt herself unable to focus.
"Come with me Arden, right now. This has to stop." She started to pull him away from the crowd that had suddenly become a lynch mob for her cousin. "Nobody touches him! You all got that? I'll handle him. We're not leaving."
She pulled Arden away by his good arm and out of the bar. Maybe it was being in a bar that made him act like such a prick. She knew how he enjoyed a good fight, physical or otherwise. She yanked him out of the bar and into the hotel lobby where she sat his ass down on a couch near the elevators.
"Sit down and be quiet. I'm going to put your shoulder back in." Of course, he probably wanted to do it himself, but instead of letting him make things worse, she just pushed him against the back of the couch and used both arms to shove his shoulder back into place.
"Now listen to me, Arden. We are going to stay here and if we have to fight, then we will. You're my cousin and I love you..." She kneeled down in front of him, setting herself between his knees as she rested her hands on his thighs, looking up at him. "But these people are my friends. There's even a few I'm closer with. There's a cop...and I'm not leaving without him. I promise I'll go with you, but we can't leave. We can't. You don't know this enemy like they do. Colette knows him well and if she says that he will kill you and rape me, then it's true. I know you want to fight your way out, but we have to be smart if we're going to survive. There ain't no swamps to run to around here. You have to trust me. Remember when we were close? Do you remember a time when I've ever lied to you?"

Even headed upstairs Lily could still hear the screaming going on on the first floor, although she couldn't make out anything clear. She simply shook her head. Glad to have taken up a weapon and joined guard duty at the first opportunity. They were about to be under siege and the people they came here with still managed to find time to bicker among themselves. How they managed to make it this far Lily would never know.
“Bet they miss the days when my attitude was their biggest worry,” Lily muttered underneath her breath.
Lily entered the room she and June had been using and dragged the table into the bedroom. She closed the bedroom door and locked it up. Flipping the mattress over and making her own wall with the spring board and wooden table at the now opened window. Aiming the rifle out of it and using the scope to get a fix on the enemy's location. She didn't know how far the yelling carried from outside the hotel, but if she was Acer and heard that she would've stormed the building by now. What was he waiting for?
The woman led her into a bedroom and helped her lay down on the bed. She said she was going to get someone to look at her wrist," thanks." Sam shifted to her side and faced the door, keeping her arm as still as she could.
She heard Damon's voice and started to sit up. She heard him, he was looking for her. Her legs swung off the bed and she went to get up. She went to the door, then hesitated. He had looked so angry out there, maybe he still was. She didn't like him that way. She liked the calm him that held her and sat there holding her. She poked her head out slowly," here."

Damon was walking up and down the hall when he heard Samantha's voice say here and turned quickly. He headed towards her and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry... Sorry how things were when we last talked. Just before you got took by that crook." He looked at her seeing a few signs of abuse from her captures but in her eyes he could see the most damage.
Having heard what they almost did to her when she spoke in the bar. He had feared they would have done more... especially after how they treated Anthony. A part of him felt she had some fear towards him. It was beginning to trouble Damon how easily he could turn on and off his survivalist rage. But it was in her interest. If Arden weakened the group... if Acers men got inside the hotel... Sam, Damon... everyone was in danger now. He checked his back pocket and found her next dosage of medication.
"I know its a silly question... but are you alright Sam? I was so worried..." He had so much he wanted to say and do right now. Words fell short.
Arden felt the gun hit his gut and just glared. The skinny kid said the same argument, and Arden was done talking to him. He wouldn't get gunned down. They would get gunned down if they stayed here. He would take his chances on the street over trapped in some shithole.
Two women came in, the both shouted orders. One ordered Arden out and he just shifted his glare to her. "Who the fuck are you. I risk my ass to save one y'all and then you kick me out. These fuckers the one who started shit. I'm just trying to have my cous' not die. I ain't taking orders from no midget bitch anyway. You want me to leave, then make me. I ain't leavin' with out Remy."
Another woman came in and shouted more orders and remarks. Arden stared at her. Parts of what she said made sense, but she was slurring some of her words. They didn't even want them there, why would Remy risk her life to defend the ungrateful snobs.
"See Remy, the don't even want yah. We slip out back like they said, I can get us out."
Then he felt the pain. The guy who had him pinned twisted his arm. He could hear the pop before he fell. His hand clutched his shoulder as e grunted in pain. Remy reacted, pulling them both away from the crowd. Now up alone in her room he just shook his head.
"What the fuck is this Remy? This is who you want to save? These dicks don't care about yah. They'll save themselves over you anyday. You don't owe shit, so why risk it."
He moved to let her pop his shoulder back in. He'd dislocated it before so knew what to expect. It was easier with someone else doing it, providing they had the strength. Once she popped it in he grunted in pain. When she stepped back he moved it around. Looking down at her he listened to her speak.
"You still want to fight? Then we'll fight. But you ain't leaving my side. Your the only family I got left. And I ain't letting you fuckin' die. I ain't gonna be bossed around either. That skinny kid, or the bearded guy starts yelling orders and I'll drop his ass faster than the fucking Dan guy. These people, they'll die here. Acer, he got men lots of them. More guns then I've even ever seen in my life. We be trapped like rats in the fucking bar. No way in or out. So we hit them with everything they got, still ain't enough. Yall need to get redneck on their ass. Saw moltovs on the bar, ain't enough. You need explosives. The drunk bitch got propane tanks? Gas stove? Fucking fire extinguisher to mask the fire. Think dirty ain't gonna win otherwise."
June felt the hug and looked down while gently patting the girl on the back. Poor thing must've been terrified. Understandable. June was feeling pretty anxious herself. She's been in some shit situations back in Kansas, but nothing like this. These weren't walkers. These were intelligent men with numbers and weapons on their side. A whole new ballgame and June didn't know what to do. Her eyes went down on the blood on Candy's arms and the bandages. Feeling even worse for letting the kid out of her sight.
“Candy, I am so sorry. Once we're somewhere safe I'll get you patch up properly, okay?”
Safe. Was there anywhere that was safe anymore? They weren't safe at the apartment. They aren't safe here. Safety was becoming a luxury nobody could afford. Candy mentioned something about hiding in the basement. That sounded good by her.
“Good idea. We certainly can't stay up here. The others are putting guards on the roof and upper levels for a reason.”
June took out her gun and stood over by the door.
“Let me know when you're ready. I'm not letting you out of my sight again.”
Sam let him hug her, but as he pulled her close he wedged her arm between them. The pressure was a bit much and as he released her, tears were in her eyes. She stared at him as he asked if she was alright.
She shook her head, no. He fumbled with his back pocket," no, I do t want those." She held her arm up," he pushed me down the stairs and I heard a crack when I landed, tried to catch myself." She shook her head." It was stupid of me, all I wanted was to get out of there. I kept telling him over and over I was t Remy, then one of his guys brought in Arden, thought he was Dallas. He is looking for specific people and I do t know why." She was trembling a bit," he's crazy, all his people are crazy!" She flashed to be strapped down. God only knows what that freaky doctor would have done to her! " we need to kill them, kill them all!"
She had been worried about Andrei's reaction to her wanting to cut their losses and take care of themselves. He had supposed her with what he said. She stared at him for a few moments. Eyes roaming over his face, she could hear stuff filtering through, arguing.
How dumb were these people? This is how people ended up dead. She went to make sure she gathered their weapons, ," want me to get a bag ready? Just in case?" Then she heard Damon yelling, Sam was back. Someone with her. This place was turning into chaos. Fighting, yelling, a female voice telling people to get the fuck out!" Andrei, things are unraveling, fast." She was scared. Why wouldn't she be? These people used her and him, they weren't apart of either group.
She started to head closer to the main room, she listened and glanced at people. This was nuts. They needed to get it together or they would all die. This man Acer could walk in here by force and take them all with this going on. She stared and watched, moving close to Andrei. " where are we setting up?" She wanted to get out of this, it was all too much.
James followed Colette to the main room, where most of them had gathered and once there he noticed a lot of new faces, people he hadn`t even met. Who were they? He wondered, yet cared not to ask, so long as Colette was fine with it. For what was about to happen, they would need everyone they could get. Apparently Acer had them surrounded, and for some reason he was waiting for the right moment to strike. It made him feel uncomfortable, curious as to what he planned. The people seeking refuge in the hotel had done nothing wrong; they were a mix of adults, children and teenagers, just trying to survive.
Standing by Colette`s side he listened to her speech, trying to make everyone realize what they were about to face. She wanted every able man and woman to carry guns, to keep the place secure. Those who wanted to leave could do so now, but at their own risks. All the stash were to stay at the hotel, none was allowed to steal. It was a clear message, and while James stood still, he gazed across the room, looking at everyone`s faces, trying to figure who would stay and who would leave. At least he had no intention to go, Colette needed him now more than ever and with her he would fight.
Seeing how weak she was made him worry, but both he and Cade was there to support her. He didn`t like seeing the two together, although said nothing, knowing they would later have to speak again. James noticed some of them going up and down the stairs, recognizing Damon, only then to see Remy and someone new talk between themselves. It seemed like a lot had happened since he went to talk with Colette in the office, but here he was now, hoping to make an effort.
Acer's men had parked their cars and immediately started swarming up the buildings and into the open rooms of the various stores, restaurants and hotels that surrounded Hotel Monteleone. The only part that wasn't surrounded was the front of the hotel that faced towards the main road. There were other abandoned cars in the street so the few men that did park, went across the street and went up to the top floors where they would set up their guns.
Acer took to a building close to the front door of the Hotel so Colette would know exactly where he was and he would completely hole up for the night. With the fire burning strong at the mansion and mini explosions happening, the walkers around the city were drawn to the noise enough for him and his men to get settled and get what guns they could grab ready for action.
He would make Colette wait. He wanted her to stir uncomfortably through the night. He wanted her to wonder as he forced her to wait. He didn't know if he was outgunned but he was pretty sure she was outmanned by him and his men.
He made sure a fire was lit in the building he was staying in and occassionally he would just stand in the window, wanting Colette to see him. He was armed and the gun was always in his hand as he moved in front of the window, pacing through the night. He knew guns were trained on him every time he walked in front of the window, but they would also have to know that if they fired on him first, anything and everything was out the window.
The night would slowly roll by with only the sounds of shuffling walkers moving towards the mansion in search of a meal that was no longer there.
Cade followed Collette into the next room. He stood behind her, letting her go forward and acess the situation. He was there though, incase she needed support, be it verbal or physical. He saw Angel by the door, he had yet to talk to the woman but he bet she had a few choice words for him about what he had just done. She would probably chew into him, but he knew she was harmless.
He watched the unknown man get taken down by Dallas and Remy ushering him up stairs. He didn't know who he was, but he wasn't one of Acer's. He thought he saw him at the mansion earlier, but assumed it was just his mind playing tricks. He had never met the man before, how could he have seen him?
Arcade's eyes went to Dan, who was leaning on the bar. The man looked weak, defeated already. He saw the moltovs, all ten of them. They would need more, lots more. He wondered if they could use the power lines outside, drop the transformers on them.
As Collette spoke he nodded along. She was right, Acer was out there. They would need everyone armed, he would need more arrows. As she finished he stepped closer. Feeling her lean into him he steadied her, placing a hand on her side. One thing they didn't need was her like this.

Dallas had made his way to the roof to better assess the situation they now found themselves in. He kept low, a low crawl as he moved around the edges of the building, a hunched movement when he was far enough back no one would see him moving. They were surrounded on all sides, yet Acer and his men simply waited... He knew why too. These people were ready to tear themselves apart to survive an onslaught. Why fight everyone when you could wait and let them do the dirty work for you? He grit his teeth, what he'd give for a rocket launcher or a few mounted 50's... Or even a tank would be good about now.
He moved back inside, after getting as best a count as he could. They were outnumbered nearly two to one. Not good odds by any means, and who knew if there were more Dallas couldn't see. They needed weapons, ammo back ups, and big explosions if they were going to survive this... Most of all, they needed to work together. Dallas didn't like their chances.
He headed back in, looking for Cade. The man liked his now and arrow more than Dallas felt comfortable with, but he seemed like the best guy to talk to about mounting a plan. He'd need Luca, and Anthony too... Hell, even that cop friend of Luca's would be good, though something about the guy gave Dallas a bad feeling, like the guy was just as likely to put a bullet in your back as watch it.
Still, they needed a plan and all hands on deck. There was only one way there were going to make it out of this. And Dallas had no plans on dying today, he had a little girl to look after now. And he wasn't about to let anything happen to her.
So, for now, the plan was to find Cade and Collette and make up a plan everyone could stick too. No more of this half ass do as you want shit. They were going to work as a unit in this. Or they might as well give up now. He came to where Cade was. "What's the weapon situation look like? Please tell me we have automatics, or some other kind of big guns...? We need to get everyone one the same page and quickly. Acer's waiting now, but the moment he finds out we aren't going to do his dirty work for him, he'll come rolling in on us, and hard. We're completely surrounded... And outnumbered two-to-one by my count, maybe more."

Damon realised he may have hurt her arm and was apologetic in his body language. As she began to speak of what they did to her, throwing her down stairs and such he lightly put his arm across Samantha's shoulders. Offering her support as she told him of her experience. And it was only making his rage worse. He kept his face calm knowing right now was not the time to speak in such a manner before Samantha. He was surprised she did not want any meds.
"Poor thing. I wish I could say I cant imagine such people but... Look your with us now. She is going to check your arm, get you some food and clean any wounds up... Let me deal with them bastards."
He attempted to smile and stay strong for Samantha at this moment. "I know I can go a bit off the rails... But this is the real me, the one who talks to you okay. That's just a part of me developed to survive at times like this, what you saw in the bar... Dangerous men require dangerous measures."
He had told her when she was getting paranoid on him before she got taken that he would never hurt her. And he meant it. Yet he could understand that she may fear violent people. Especially after her experiences with men like Acer.
When he heard her speak of the groups need to kill them all he did not change his facial expression yet looked away from Samantha. "Don't you worry about that Sammy... What must be done... will be done."
