"Maybe ladder is the best. From there, we can see what is a safe route." He motioned her away from the window and sat on his knees on the floor. "We can look at map first and see escape ways?"
If losing Damon had taught him one thing, it was to always have a way out, and then a back up way after that. The only thing more terrifying than walkers was getting boxed in by walkers and staring into your death. They didn't have anything in their eyes but hunger, and it struck fear into him every time he locked eyes with them. If he could get to where they needed to go without meeting walkers, he would be pleased.
But that wasn't a rational hope, he knew. They were never going to be vacant, even if they weren't being swarmed at the moment.

"Well, Yameki-san, I ask you...how do you think I got to this house without drawing attention?", she asked her companion softly with a tilt to her head and turned to face him, keeping her voice level around library-level to not attract any lingering zombies. her bright blue eyes full of adventurous and headstrong thoughts despite the danger, before she picked up what looked to be a small rock and lightly tossed it up and down in her hand, catching it easily every time.

"Safe route?" He smiled, hoping his response was correct. He thought he understood her question, at least. "Did you clear path?" By herself, he wasn't sure how she would have done it. It wasn't to say that he was underestimating her by any means, it was just that clearing an entire city on your own, with no prior knowledge of the state, was a daunting task.
But she seemed confident, and he would just have to trust her judgment. After all, she had made it to this house by herself, and cleared it out. Perhaps she could lead him to Evan's house, too. He didn't know what he would find there, but he hoped for the best.

"I had to use the corners of the streets and alleys for cover and throw random stuff in a way that it lead the zombies away from where I was heading. I had my eyes on this house because it was the only one I saw with another floor that I saw at the time. I had to hope it was empty, and it was thankfully.", she explained with a sigh of relief before looking at Yameki and tilting her head lightly. "How did you get here, for example."

"This house, or this place?" Yameki asked. He put his hands in his lap, polite, and spoke in slow, pensive tones, as if trying to piece together the puzzle of his sentences. "This place, I come from Florida. I leave in a car, but the car break in Tennessee. Then I walk to Illinois."
He was clearly leaving parts out, but it wasn't something that needed to be discussed as that present moment. He smiled softly, nonetheless and continued. "This house, it is the first I see with no shadows, no walker. I walk very far and was tire, and I did not see many monster around, so I thought it is a good place to rest."

"A bit of both, actually. I never used any vehicles, and I've always snuck my way around. When I came here, I didn't think anyone was home, either, but looks could be deceiving. I threw rocks at trash cans and dumpsters, or even cars, to get the zombies to go away so I can sneak, for example.", she explained as she continued to toss the rock up and down idly, looking at Yameki still before glancing back outside in the direction they were going to go to. When he said something about this house as well, she grinned and gently jabbed his chest with her finger in a bit of a playful manner. "So you found safety in a room with a woman. Lucky guy."

He chuckled at her words and smiled back playfully, then pointed to his chest as he spoke. "I am lucky, very lucky to meet such a good person. I think I would be alone forever if I did not find you."
He hummed and glanced over to the window, eyeing the sun, how much time they had. "Did you always be alone too?"
Even if they did meet people in Evan's home, he didn't know what to expect. He wasn't sure who was left, how many were there, and if they would even be receptive to the strangers. After all, he had never met Evan's family. He had only met Jimmy's parents, and Damon's father once in passing.
