Hearing Kevin talk about a plan made him smile. They had to get out, would get out. If his friends were still alive, the group he was with, maybe they could help. For now all they could do was wait and rest. They were both not a full strength, and would need that.
Vince saw the girl in. They had spared their freedom for her. She had better been worth it. She had two bags and the guards seemed to control her like they had Kevin and him. He watched her, and crept agaisnt the bars.
She offered an orange shirt and he just laughed. To think he had been wearing an orange jumpsuit his whole way hear, only to wear one again. Vince just laughed and took the shirt, bunching it up in a ball behind him, propping him up.
"Are the bags for us too mate? Or did you just come to gawk and stare," he asked with smile. "You really a prisoner? Or are you the bitches bitch? Doing her bidding and what not." He smiled at Kevin. "We already saved your life one time tody sweetheart, we don't have to again." He didn't mean it, Vince, and Kevin, wouldn't let the girl die. That's not who they were.
"Are we to be deloused next? Maybe stripped and beaten?" He leaned back, "why aren't you wearing orange?"

The ORIGINAL NEW YORK GROUP HAVE ENTERED THE THREAD. MICHAEL, Albert and Tory are in the sewers and Stephanie and Roman are preparing the fire truck.
Michael slowly crept down the sewers taking the lead. He was followed by Tory and Albert, in his right hand he held his knife and the left a flashlight he picked up at the station. Focused as ever he looked at the numbers labelling each ladder they passed knowing where it lead. He was traveling light during this plan. He had placed his pack on the fire truck. He could hear groans in the distance and the heavy breathing of his companions.
As they turned a corner he spotted a walker crouched down trying to get at something, as quietly as possible placing his knife through the back of the skull. "Sorry about the smell guys... we are pretty close to the empire state building currently. Should be four or five minutes till we are at the basement."
Continuing he considered how nervous Tory may be right now "Holding up okay Tory?"
Post by Tory Bournell on Oct 9, 2015 23:39:06 GMT -5
Tory followed close behind, her nose buried in her shirt. The sewer reeked. She would have never entered the place which appeared nightmarish, if it weren't for Mike and Albert and the two people she hoped to rescue. Kevin. Michelle.
"Ya, I think I'm fine for now."
She had to be. They had to be. Tory didn't bring any weapons or really anything. Besides the small flashlight held in her right hand, she had left everything else in the firetruck. With her left hand, she curled her small fingers to cup the head of the flashlight, diminishing light pollution as she kept the beam angled towards her feet.
Fresh goosebumps sent a shiver down her spine with every distant groan, but she kept walking, letting the pitter patter of their steps distract her mind. She didnt talk much, a combination of nerves and stagnant air made her stomach churn.

As they prepared the firetruck for action, Stephanie couldn't help but think back to all the times she'd busted down drug doors and knocked off dealers back in Bawlmer, feeling all the collective emotions: the building tension, the rush of blood, the thrill of the steal...all the emotions wrapped themselves into one seemingly incoherent ball but at the same time, remembering those times helped take her mind off of all the things that might happen should Michael's plan fail. If we're lucky, she mused, pausing to check the water cannon once more, they'll only shoot us...if not, God only knows what they'll do then. Reaching back behind her waist, she made sure her pistol was within reach, thinking to herself, If all else fails, make sure there's one bullet left in case things go balls up, shuddering for a brief moment before resuming the tasks at hand.
Becky felt a chill down her spine as they refused to wear them. She knew that this would reward her with punishment. She stuttered when asked about her clothing "I... I am not a prisoner... well not in the same sense as you." She looked at the walls suspiciously "You should only try and leave at shift change... otherwise they catch you". And as she had whispered that she left the room as her pager buzzed. She was needed in Ms Lucys office.

THE PEOPLE OF THE HIVE HAVE ENTERED THE THREAD. ARRIVING AT A WALL.
Francesca brushed a red strand of hair out of view. Blue eyes stared down at the path illuminated by the head lights. Curving around broken down cars and sometimes having to get outside the car to get in another as the huge convoy continued on to its destination. Looking toward her left at a man that she believed to have seen guarding the docks. "Good luck" The young women managed to muster up the words as her ocean eyes spotted a picture of a young girl about fourteen years old. The thought was terrible but Fran hoped that the girl died in the outbreak because it was easier to think of that then the idea that he could possibly not come back to her.
By the time Fran got a response she was already lost again in the crowd of people on foot and some in vehicles. Fran heard the gunshots up a head that alarmed the gunmen around who held their weapons ready come. Double checking her own gun to make sure the safety was off as she moved quickly forward. Finding spots to squeeze past as the parade continued.
As the convoy made its' way towards the heart of Manhattan, Daniel keyed his shoulder mic and quietly spoke. "Okay, everyone, this is it. Keep an eye out for your side partners, watch your spacing and watch your crossfire. We go in, get the job done and get out. Hayden out." Switching his mic off - lest he embarrass himself again with an off-the-cuff line - he kept an eye on Francesca's vehicle in the lead and glanced to the sides to watch for any surprises.
It was a packed Tundra he was driving; besides himself and, to his eye, a seemingly calm Jamie in the cab of the truck, there were a pair of extra shooters, both of them armed with Mini-14s', holding the attached grab-bars in the back of the Tundra. Looking over, he asked Jamie how she was doing, "How ya' holding up over there, kid?" he said as they continued their way, the echo of gunshots ahead keeping his nerves alive and his wits about him. Reaching back behind him in the back of the cabin, he checked to make sure his own Mini-14 was ready. Satisfied all was in order, he turned back around and continued following Francesca towards their objective.
Albert brought up the rear. He'd found some duct tape and used it in order to strap the flashlight to his rifle. He had a feeling that if things went bad, knives wouldn't cut it. "I've been in worse." He muttered in regards to the smell. "Just gotta deal with it long enough to get in and get our people out." He kept his back to the other two, moving backwards through the tunnel in order to cover their behind in case there was a patrol down here, or worse.
Kevin glared at the girl as she talked. He understood that she was scared of queen bitch, he was too, but his urge to safe people was stronger. He couldn’t understand they way she reacted, yes she was afraid to get killed, but he wouldn’t be able to live with himself, if he didn’t try to fight bad people. “Yeah we kinda got that, since you are out there and we are in here.” He replied in a stern tone.
Then the girl surprised him, she warned to only try to escape during shift switches, then she left the room. “Thanks.” Kevin whispered back before she left. Then he turned back to Vince. “You heard that baby, there might be a chance after all.” Kevin said with a smile.
Lucy heard gunfire and grabbed her radio "Report? Whats going on down there?" She received no reply for a few seconds until a deep voiced guard replied 'We are under attack and theres a lot of them vehicles... and people on foot. Please advise?'.
Lucy smiled "So my Busy Bee is coming too play. Guess I should get ready for her..." She turned the radio on again "All guards to the entrance, second and third floors. Take your positions and funnel them into the road where there's less cover. SQUAD B... prepare the surprise and release when ready."
Lucy put on some comfier shoes with flat bottoms and started packing weapons and hiding them on her person she had a knife in her belt, a vial to inject and incapacitate her bee if she could. And a gun with six rounds.
She looked at the clock. When Squad B was ready they would block off the road behind the attackers. Ensure that there only escape was through her building. She switched the frequency back to the one she had spoken with Francesca on before.
"Hello my busy little Bee... Buzz... Buzz... Buzz. I cant wait for you to get here. Its going to be fun."

Michael was chuckling slightly "Don't need to act up here Albert... This place stinks pretty bad. Just try and avoid the puddles. Don't want to stink up the joint when we try blend in... Kupish" He then spotted the ladder code in front and headed over. Placing the flashlight in his mouth he climbed slowly until he reached the hatch. Opening it he spun his head 180 degrees each way before climbing up.
He made sure the basement was clear but he could not tell why or what was on the table. It looked like some kind of morgue or lab for experiments. He threw a clough over it and offered a hand to Tory "Top of the ladders quite weak... Ill help you up. Albert, follow her up as quick as possible."
Post by Tory Bournell on Oct 12, 2015 23:07:15 GMT -5
"Thanks," Tory accepted Michael's hand as he pulled her up through the opening in the floor. The room had an eery feeling to it that kind of resembled a possessed high school science lab. There were jars on a counter with something pickled inside, she avoided the urge to look and see what. There was a different smell to it all, unlike the sewers but gross nonetheless. "What is this place?"
Faint gunshots quickly drew her attention from the room to her companions. "Do ya think Roman and Steph are alright? I don't wanna be here any longer than we have to." She waited for Michael to lead the way, the others they were rescuing could be anywhere as far as she was concerned, and it would be too easy to get lossed...or worse. Listening, the place seemed alive above them.

The sounds of gunshots, faint though they were, snapped Stephanie out of her momentary funk. Climbing down from the back of the firetruck where the water cannon was, she leaned in through the side window and looked over at Roman. "Alright, get ready, Roman, looks like the party's begun," she said, "Let's be ready to go, okay?" pounding the side of the firetruck lightly to get his attention. Not waiting for a reply, she climbed back inside the back of the firetruck and made sure the water cannon was ready, quickly checking that all was in order. "Water pressure's good, we've got several thousand gallons ready to flow...cannon's set to narrow spray so we don't run out of water. We're good," she whispered silently, ready for whatever was beginning to go down.

"Yeah I got it, just don't hit anything that isn't shooting at us, easy." Roman managed to hobble into the driver seat and put the key into ignition, turning and smiling hearing that baby go. He banged at the top of the roof and asked Steph,
"Hey you gonna be good up there? I can't say I'm much of a safe driver."
Post by Stephanie Harrington on Oct 13, 2015 3:56:16 GMT -5
"Don't sweat it, Roman," Stephanie called out, hearing him bang on the top of the firetruck. "Just keep your eyes open for anyone coming this way," pausing to make sure the water cannon was ready to fire at a moment's notice before turning her focus back towards the task at hand.
Jamie heard the gunshots echoing ahead of them reminding the girl to check her own Mini-14 again. Taking slow breaths to calm her nerves as she looked over at the man driving. Pausing for a moment or two to look ahead before a reply came to mind. "Good. Hoping that this Plan A works.. " She said as her wondering eyes looked at some of the talks buildings making sure their wasn't any snipers. None from what she could see but one could only wonder what this crazy group they were against had planned. "It's still fucked up that the head honcho of ares didn't come.. Instead sending some overseers" Jamie said gripping the radio in her hand just in case of any new commands.
Al followed Tory up the ladder and then covered up the opening. "Just in case anyone wanted to follow us." He looked around the room to see if anything stood out when he heard the gun shots. "Looks like things are getting exciting up there. Let's just hope this keeps them distracted long enough to find our people and get them out." He checked his rifle over one last time real quick, just as a precaution. "So Mike, which way do we need to go?"
Post by Michael Guarnere on Oct 13, 2015 13:36:03 GMT -5
Michael stood listening above with his ear "That's too much action to be Steph and Roman... I'm not quite sure whats happening but I can only assume this is good for us... Lets use the Eastern Stairwell, sounds like the action is concentrated to the West. If theres anyone this side of the building, take them out quietly. Hands or Knives. No bangs."
Michael headed to the stairwell and slowly opened the door listening for any movement... It seemed clear. He stopped to look at a map and tried to figure out where Kevin would be. "Sixteenth floor... Place to start anyway."
"It's still fucked up that the head honcho of ares didn't come.. Instead sending some overseers" Jamie said gripping the radio in her hand just in case of any new commands.
Chuckling at Jamie's comment, Daniel quipped, "I believe they call that "command perogative", Jamie," adding, "it does remind me of an old story from during World War I. Prior to one battle late in the war, a French general by the name of Charles Mangin gathered his officers together for one last speech before they went over the wire. He said to them, 'Gentlemen, we attack tomorrow. The first wave will be killed. The second also. And the third. A few men from the fourth will reach their objective. The fifth wave will capture the position. Thank you, gentlemen.'"
Pausing, he added in a more serious tone as he begin slowing down, "The irony to Mangin's quote is that his troops won that particular fight, and I'd like to think we're going to win this one. There's simply no other way to think about it, Jamie," he finished. Keying his mic back on, he spoke. "Francesca, this is Daniel. I'm going to take some of the gun-trucks," pausing as he stuck his hand out the window to signal some of the vehicles behind him to follow his Tundra as they turned right, "and try to create an additional diversion, give those bastards inside something else to think about. Daniel out." Cutting the radio off, he said quickly, "Jamie, as soon as we stop, we're going to head over to that area, around the next corner and go from there, try to divert some of their attention. Something's not right up ahead; we should be catching more hell than we are and my gut's telling me something's going down," pausing again to glance as several vehicles followed theirs, "and I want to prevent that from happening, Jamie."
Bringing the Tundra to a stop, Daniel grabbed his Mini-14 and climbed out; looking back at Jamie, he said, "C'mon, Jamie." Signaling to the next vehicle behind, he added, "Let's go, let's go," signaling for the people in the next vehicle to follow them.

Looking at the wall from a distance in the dark was harder then expected. Seeing the flashes of guns going off at the top of it along with the flashes around her aiming at the guards. Hearing commands on her radio be given from the overseer of protection as the redhead shot her bullets at a few guards on top of the wall unsure if they even hit. "Cars in front ready. Everyone else halt!" Fran yelled into her mic as her blue eyes watched the parad of armed people and vehicle halt except two in the front. Moving ahead in between a few men with scowling faces to see the drivers of the vehicle get out before the cars made it close to the wall.
The show was interrupted when she kneeled and changed her radio to the one she had talked to Lucy on. Smiling slightly as she heard the cold bitches voice say buzz. Before Fran could reply one of the guards non the wall must of hit one of the two cars causing a fiery explosion that ignited the other vehicle beside it. "More like bang bang. It will be fun meeting you dear." She said rather confidently into the mic as her parade pushed forward after the momentery caution. Signaling the vehicle to continue forward as she herself ran and returned back to her transport.
