Castle looked to Marko and grinned "what can I say I'm just to fabulous to avoid." He watched as they finally united by the looks of it everyone would be a big happy family again. Castle noticed how Tala was acting and when she went off he rubbed his face as he also saw Marko run after her "Well chaps since them two are being a little rude how about we move this inside and I'll go see to them." Castle turned and headed towards the door looking at the dog as he walked. "Well shadow looks like you had your paws full with ash."
Castle walked inside not to worried about dead heads as ash or the dog would have noticed a while back Castle was looking though the items as he made his way towards Marko and Tala he leaned up on the side of some shelves looking at them both. "Ain't you a pair of anti-social chaps. Hey Tala are you okay?" his mind cast back towards everyone from his old group if they were all still alive and such if ash was alive then there was still hope so many others were still breathing. "Tala my dear i'm beginning to this you're my lucky charm." Castle could see she was upset and he couldn't think why there are an army of reasons but which was hers Castle tried his best to cheer up the situation but until tala opens up then there would be little these two pillocks can do.
Tala heard Cas' voice and turned back to face him. Her face was calm, but her eyes were cold . She glanced at Marko." Look... I am fine... Both of you need to just back off.." She shook her head and swallowed the lump in her throat, but her voice broke a bit as she spoke," I ain't anyone's good luck charm, trust me." She glanced at them both," we need to gather supplies and get outta here, I don't like is being in one place for to long." She let that stand as her reasoning, and turned her back on them both, snatching a back pack off of a shelf as she went. She was glad the girls had Ash back, but that didn't change what they had come here for. She shoved down her feelings and started shoving things in the pack.
Castle was surprised at Tala the way she was acting was off. Castle shrugged and turned around. "come on Marky boy let's go check over here." As Castle and Marko started to walk away he pointed over to what looked like hiking gear. "Hey champ do you want to go check over there and I'll look over here." He waited for Marko to get a bit of a walk on before Castle picked up a random shoe box and walked off he kept thinking what was up with Tala. Castle stood leaning on the corner of the shelves were Tala was searching. "You might not think your a lucky charm but ever since meeting you I have found four of my old group and the potential to meet more. You don't see it but this mad hatter do's." he placed the box on a shelf not really needing an empty box he just used it to slip away Castle looked at her. "So are you going to tell me what that was all about or shall we play the terrible guessing game?" He cared about the people in this little group and even if he seemed crazy he would to the best of his ability keep this group together.
Castle folded his arms looking back out the door keeping an eye on ash and the others "papa bear wow ash got soft while I was gone although the same thing happened to me except my name was Uncle Hobo. I still remember when his and remy had a thing going on and the man hated me...Or did they just break up? and it was because I was flirting? I can't remember but what I do remember is the intense fear he was going to wrap a guitar sharply across my face." He chuckled before adding "I wonder what ever happened to rose and the little princess."

Tala stood in the aisle staring at rope. She had no idea what was used for what, but was shoving a few rolls of each kind into a bag. At this rate she was gonna need another bag soon. Her head snapped up as Cas spoke to her, with a soft sigh,"look,Cas,I know you mean well, really,I do,but it's personal." She looked down at the red material wrapped around her wrist and sighed, why was he so...well....odd. She dropped the bag and moved closer to him as he kept talking about Ash. Tala glanced past him out the door. She believed the big man could have done far worse than that. "Who's Rose..." She stared at him, next to him now. He wasn't going to drop this, she knew. She didn't wanna talk about Marko and her suspicions ,so she laid out a few things for him about her." Look, seeing the girls with Ash,it brought back memories, alright, about my dad." She had been staring at his chest to avoid his eyes."alright,I got emotional and I ...we...can't afford for me to get all soft and emotional. " she started to move away from him.
Castle listened to her and tried to feel her pain but really couldn't. "Hey my eyes are up her you know you don't get two free shows." he said in a soft tone but still retaining his joke. When she asked about rose Castles head dropped abit. "She was and I hope to the god's still is a survivor. I met her back at the farm where I met everyone else she was a brit to so you can guess I felt closer to home with her around." He smiled when he thought of home but soon snapped back. "Me and her had the same taste when it came to women." He chuckled and rubbed his chin before adding. "And around the time of Christmas she went out side and came back with this little girl Esmeralda but I called her Princess. Rose was kinda in a thing with this lass named Evelyn so I became Uncle but as you can tell I lost touch with them. Once Evelyn died Rose changed and one night drove off leaving me behind."
Tala moved closer to him as she told him about her dad but as soon as she moved away Castle placed his hand on her arm. "I can't begin to think what you went thought with your dad. I still hold out the idea my dad is somewhere shouting bloody murder to any Scotsman alive and waving a broadsword at any dead head screaming For Queen and Country." His other hand dipped into his shirt and he pulled out a gold chain that had a gold ring on it. "But I do know what it is like to loose one. It's nothing a person should go though alone. I might be a mad man but I am here for you don't shut people out let me help it's not healthy for you or this group trust me I know what happens when you bottle things up." Castle put the gold chain back under his shirt and used his hand to tilt her head up so he could see her eyes.
"Are you sure that's all?" Castle was worried that she was keeping more from him granted they had only just met but they had already aloud alot of personal things to be said. "I made a promise for no bullshit and I hope to receive the same treatment so please let me help."
Grey eyes stared at the chain," is that a wedding ring?" She closed her eyes as she felt him lift her head. Her eyes opened and grey eyes ,misty eyes, looked up at him."Cas,please, don't push. I...it was my fault .alright, and it's what I have to live with." She pushed away from him,"I can't...let's find what shit we need and get outta here, alright?" She shook her head," I'm bad luck, the people who care about me die" Tala moved off and snatched the bag up off the floor and her spear and left the aisle. She was determined now to question Marko. His words had gotten to her and made her vulnerable, she couldn't have that. She went searching for him,she wanted answers.
Marko was taken aback by the sudden frigidness in Tala's voice as she spoke. Had he said something wrong? Or was she simply hiding something personal. Behind them followed Castle and before Marko could truly react, he had already spoken up. In truth, he was glad: Marko knew too little about what she was feeling and he wasn't planning on wading through what could be a minefield.
Yet as she explained about her father, Marko could still sense something more. There was a drastic difference in the way she spoke to Castle and him. Marko silenly cursed himself for being so careless. It was that speech, wasn't it? Had to be.
And as they continued talking, wandering into the topic of their past, Marko only grew more and more umckmfortable. Deciding to leave them be, Marko drew his pistol and proceeded further into the store. What Tala said was true, chances were the place was safe, but he still wanted to make sure. "I think I'll just go check out the rest of the place"
With his gun drawn and aimed dead ahead, instincts and training took over. Marko moved through the cramped aisles and shelfs with a certain military efficiency: careful, calculated yet quick paces which were deafly silent as his boots touched the ground. Though the clothes were more tailored to the dry, warm Texan climate, he figured it would do for now. Canned goods, water, plenty of rope and even a few useful tools left untouched: all that was left was a vehicle and they would be on their way North.

Tala was trying to get herself together while she looked for Marko so she didn't do anything rash. Had she done the right thing? Not telling Cas? They were her issues and her suspicions , everyone else seemed fine with Marko, right? She spotted him heading into what must have been a storage room. Tala glanced around and followed him inside.
(OOC: insert private room confrontation here)
A good ten minutes went by before Tala emerged from the stock room. She glanced around before heading away from it. She was a bit calmer as she headed back through the nearby aisle. She shoved matches and a couple first aid kits in her pack. She realized this bag was already getting full and moved up to the front of the store to drop it off.
Tala sat it down and left her spear with it, she needed both hands. She grabbed another back pack and started back to shopping. Marko had said layers. She didn't like that idea,it would slow her down, but if the others were right, the cold should slow the walkers as well. She shoved some shirts and sweatpants into her pack. One aisle had water containers and in went a few of those as well. She saw a bunch of sleeping bags along a wall and headed over to them. Jackpot! Sleeping bags, blankets and tents! She lifted her head to see if anyone was nearby to give her a hand carrying them. She mentally counted their numbers and wanted to get enough for all and maybe some extra.
Castle watched as Tala went off with Marko into the storage room so Castle went back to looting picking up a pair of black boots he sat down and started putting them on. "maybe the reason those two were so tense was because.....Oh totally get it now she's into older blokes. Bloody women." Castle was sat there collecting up what gear he could and loading it up. He had made about three trips back and forth of stuff that could be handy for there journey when Tala came out of the storage room. Castle started to walk towards her when something caught his eye it Was a rack full of trench coats. "About time I replaced this old tattered thing." He checked the pockets of his coat to make sure nothing was left in it before slinging it off and picking out a new one. "It looks like you have the misfortune of being my new coat." As Castle throw on the new coat he turned and headed towards Tala again. "Hey Crumpet I'v loaded quite a few things on to the truck. It should help our little road trip." Castle paused for a moment not entirely sure how to word what he was going to say he rubbed the back of his neck before speaking again. "Hey erm... Look sorry I didn't know you and Marko were a thing. Not like I'm trying to be nosy or out just erm... bloody hell this is weird never mind." Castle turned around and started walking out the store picking up his bag. "So Ash it looks like me and you have some explaining to do to these guys about where we vanished off to for so long."
Tala saw Cas heading towards her and she grinned. Good he could help her carry some sleeping bags and blankets. As he spoke , her grin changed to a confused look,"crumpet.... What's ...oh" her knowledge of history would serve her well,"did you just call me a biscuit....well , for you I guess it's a crumpet, but it's something sweet, right?" She smiled at him, then her eyes widened as he went on. She glanced at the stock room door."Cas ,no...it,really?do I look like the type that would do...that...with someone I just met?!" She sounded a bit agitated that he would think something like that of her. He turned to walk away, but she wasn't finished. Tala grabbed his arm," look...I'm not that kinda girl...for one and for two, what's this all about? I went in there to talk to him,ask him some questions, that's all." She stared up at Cas, not sure why he felt the need to express this or even what was going on in his head. Tala held his arm and sighed,"look, something he said early set me on edge and I needed to clear the air with him, that was it,but thanks for thinking I'm some whore." She shoved a handful of blankets at him and snatched a bunch of sleeping bag, then stalked to the front door. She headed straight for the truck, but heard Cas speak to Ash," yea and we still need to find a second vehicle." She reminded everyone,"four wheel drive would be best if we heading into snow up north, right?" She stood and leaned her hip on the truck, staring at the men. Her eyes trailed over the girls. She was confused by Cas' little convo and hurt because she thought he was calling her easy. Did he think that, really? Hell, if she were that way,she coulda jumped his bones when she first laid eyes on him. She frowned, this was awkward, but she couldn't leave the girls alone with all these men, could she?
Mark was as shocked as everyone else when Ash emerged from the store. "What happened? Hell run out of Vacancies?" Mark said walking up to Ash. "Welcome back to the world of the living. If we can call it that." Mark smiled giving Ash's shoulder a shove. He was glad to have his friend back.

Dakota tugged and pinched Ash's face around. She was still in shock really, expecting reality to snap back in any second. Her hands pinched out both his cheeks, generally trying mold his whole face around as if it were clay. Though she trusted the group consensus, and her own eyes and ears, she didn't want to leave even a shred doubt in her mind.
After Ash stood up from his hug, it took Dakota only a moment more to consider. Looked real. Sounded real. Face was real. Ash had to be real! She hugged him again from the side as he introduced Shadow.
A dog was one pet of all the stray and injured animals she brought home over the years that she was never allowed to keep. Not that her parents wouldn't have gotten for her, because they would have. They very much would have, if not for her father's allergies to dogs and every apartment they ever had in San Francisco didn't slow them anyway. Dakota had to get her dog fix vicariously through her aunts or her uncle. She had every other pet under the sun at one time or another though. So it was with great and distracting joy that she knelt down to greet the husky. Dakota let the canine snug the back off her hand, and if Shadow allowed it, big hugs and pets would surely follow. "Hey, boy. Thanks for bringing my Papa Bear back to me. Back to both of us.
Clementine ruffled over Shadow's head and behind the husky's ears. She smiled to Ash, ”I'm glad he brought you back to us too.” She glanced off into the distance, briefly losing her smile. She wished quite a few other people precious to her could be found in this world again... Oh it could give them back to you alright, but so far it had taken them away again almost as soon as they got back.
Coming back to the present, her smile returned, and she ruffled behind Shadow's ears again, “Good boy. You have to help us make sure we don't lose him again too.” Just seeing Tala slip and seeming upset from the briefest glimpse she caught, Clem glanced to Dakota, Ash and Mark, “I'm gonna help find stuff for our trip north. And 'Koda... keep an eye on them.
Clem gave Ash and Mark a half-worried smile, before following Marko, Tala and Cas inside. By the time she got there though, she really only saw Cas, Smiling to Castle, she went to about looking through te store for things she could personally. She thought about going for a shopping basket in the truck, but those worked best for small things. Clem was looking at boots and sweaters to start.

Dakota smiled to Clementine, "Will do, Clem." She scruffed up Shadow's sides, and stayed to pet the husky a couple moments longer. She rose, and went to the truck. Picking out a shopping basket, she took it with her inside. Dakota was starting to think of all the little things it might be nice to find in store like this. Maybe they had more replacement filters for her survival water bottle, or even extra bottles for Clem and the others.
Clementine, having gathered the clothes she figures to need up in the snowy mountains, she followed Tala on out to the truck. She put on a playful grin, glancing between Cas and Tala, ”Is he bothering you?” She was joking of course, or trying to. Concern grew on her face, she really wanted new family and old to get along. More than that, she wanted to demonstrate how genuinely helpful she knew she could be. ”Really though, is everything alright, Tala? Back before we went in, I thought you might've looked a little bit sad about something?”

Dakota may have gotten distracted a time or two by Shadow while in the store, but fort he most part she focused on gathering supplies into her basket. She lucked out, finding a few spare filter cartridges for her bottle, and a bottle or two for Clem and one other. 'Koda also made sure to collect a whetstone for her knives. While she already had her aunts' snow coat, sweaters and sorel boots, they were still a bit large, so she kept an eye out for something more in her size. A pair of snow boots and one sweater ended up weighting down the top of her basket as she carried it cradled out to the truck.
Ash smiled at the little girls. "It is me Dakota. How else would i know about flowers and your bunnicula books?" Ash had listened to her talk numerous times about the books. He watched as clementine joined the others in gathering supplies. Shadow loving the attention of the little girls wagged his tail happily. He followed Dakota into the store looking back at Ash before entering.
Ash got shoved by Mark. He smirked at the Biker hearing his comments. "Dude you've got serious enemies down there waiting to kick your ass." Looking to Castle about explaining where they were. "Well it's better they hear about it from us than on that facebook thing. I don't remember a lot from after being shot."
Shadow followed Dakota through the store. Getting spoiled with attention from a bit from the girl the dog wagged his tail. Stopping to shake himself free of loose fur he spotted a section with tennis balls. Moving to Dakota as she started to leave he quickly shot into the aisle before grabbing a container containing tennis balls. They were his favorite toy when his previous owners were alive. Following Dakota out he stopped in front of Ash with the container. He wagged his tail happily proud of his recent find.

Dakota gave Shadow a little pat on the head, smiling at the tennis balls he carried out to show Ash. She glanced to the tennis balls, and nodded to herself. They reminded her of a couple other things she had seen in her way about the store. She jogged back inside briefly, picking up a book on edible and poisonous plants, more tennis balls for Shadow, a shovel, a snow shovel and a couple other small things. The shovels, she bundled together, and hugged them in their middle under one arm. It was an awkward balance, but she got everything out to the truck.
She unloaded what she had collected into the truck, making sure not to forget her rifle. Dakota smiled to herself, Ash really was back. With that realization, all the guilt over getting Ash shot in the first place came rushing back. Leaving him and Vivian's sister to rot in the company of that man-eating reverend didn't help much either. Had she done just as badly by leaving Vivian, Anthony, Yuri, and all in the hands off psycho spies?
Her shoulders hunched forward the little girl back on the verge of losing it. No. Ash might have lived, but that didn't change how strong she had to be to be any help to the others. Keeping her eyes and face hidden, she spoke toward the truck, "Where... Where should we find that second truck? And will it need chains too?"
The storeroom, despite all its silent promises, turned out to be a dud: shelves and more shelves containing nothing more than a few canned peaches, a single bottle of water and oatmeals upon oatmeals. Whoever owned the place must have cleaned out the storeroom before they abandoned it, and quite obviously had a thing against oatmeals.
All the good stuff was outside, and thus Marko saw no point in lingering any longer. With the box of supplies firmly in his arms, he stepped stepped through the door just in time to spot Tala leaving. Marko was glad the whole debacle was settled now rather than later. Things coul have turned out much worse.
Marko made his way to the door and eventually the truck. Setting the box down in the back, he started listening to the others but stayed silent. After his speech, he wasn't sure if he should say anything at all. He could go help them find another vehicle easily. His time in the rangers taught him a myriad of useful skills, one of which was how to jimmy a car.

Tala stared at Cas as he stood speaking to Ash. She had to bite her lip amoment ago as they walked to the truck and that small voice had teased her. She didnt want to laugh at Clem's teasing,it would just add fuel to Castle's fire. When the little girl's tone changed, she felt herself place a hand on her shoulder. Tala squatted down,"Honey,I am just fine, and no he isnt bothering me,"a glance to Cas,and a smirk crossed her lips,"he's just being a dumb boy." She patted Clem's shoulder,"i lost my daddy when all this started and it ,"she swallowed,"seeing you girls with Ash made me miss him, thats all, promise." Tala straightened as Dakota and Marko came around the truck. Where to find another truck, good question." Any dealerships around? They always had gas for testing vehicles ,maybe we could get a good four wheel drive,or,hell, sure there are plenty left abandoned, right?"
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
