Robert stared at her as she cried. He wondered if it was just a ploy or something to distract them from something bigger. He put a hand behind his head and scratched it in confusion.
"Uh she going to be okay? I'm better at the happy stuff, not so much the crying and scared."
He looked at the girl, "hey no need to get upset. I said it was not harm done. We can forget about the whole thing. You seem like a nice girl, I don't blame you for anything."
She seemed alright to him, but you could never be to careful these days.
Mary wept for two reasons. The first one being remorse for her actions. The second was by being overjoyed at finding kind people in the apocalypse even after everything that happened before. All of it was too much to bear. Mary took Wyatt's hand and got up to her feet. Still sniffing a little. Trying to breathe through the clogged up nostrils due to her crying. Only downside to letting emotions out.
“I-I don't suppose any of you have a Kleenex?”
Mary didn't expect a yes. She was also too upset to catch the rather subtle joke made by Wyatt. But she did realize she had yet to give a name after hearing everyone else's.
“Mary. My name is Mary.”
Named after the Virgin Mary. She was always proud to be called that. Despite how common it was. And despite how many Mary Jane jokes she had to hear for sharing a name with a popular comic book character. It was a good name.
Oliver nodded and quickly went back inside. He turned on the tap to the sink and waited for water to come out. At first it was just air, spraying through the lines. Then water sprayed out. At first it was violent, hitting the sink and spraying back at his face. Soon water ran and Oliver put his hand under. It ran through and to his hand. He let it hit it, rolling to either side and cascading off into the sink.
The water started to turn a reddish brown and Oliver quickly with Drew his hand. "What the fuck," he said shaking it off and whiping it off on his pants. He heard Emry say something. He couldn't hear it through the door. Quickly opening it up he smiled. "What did you say? You did what to your father? You sick pervert. You kiss your mother with that mouth? Better yet does he?" He let out a laugh.
"Anyway the water turned brown, think it has something in the lines. I don't want to know what it is, i just know I would t shower under it." He looked at him and towards the group.
"Hey you think we should join back up with the others, maybe see how they are doing. We have power but no water, maybe they did better."
He wasn't so hopeful about the water, he didn't expect that it would work. His suspicions were confirmed when he heard Oliver's response to seeing the result. Well, at least they had power, something he hadn't expected to work either, the others had to be happy about that. It would be wise to go back and inform the others about the good and bad news.
Emyr looked to see Oliver with a smile upon his face, maybe he was wrong and the water had worked. No, he was wrong, it was just Oliver smiling because he was going to mock him. At first, Emyr was confused, did he say something bad, then he realised that Oliver was making it up. He stayed silent during the home and waited for it to be over.
As it turned out, be was right about the water, it wasn't going to work. "Brown?" Neither he or Oliver wanted to find out what had gotten into the lines. He turned the hose and generator off for the moment. "Okay, let's go." He made his way over to the group, he could see them standing around someone new, hopefully she was alright. "Um, we don't have water but we do have power."
Tala just watched the interaction with the woman. Mary, she finally gave them her name. As she watched her, part of her realize that her tears maybe a mixture of emotions. She wanted to do something, say something, but she didn't know what and didn't want it to be awkward.
Oliver and Emyr came back around the ambulance, and we're reporting they had got some power, but no water. Tala had her hopes lifted and dashed in one quick moment." Damn, well, we haven't finished looking, we had a new guest arrive." She didn't mention the woman tackling Robert. What was the point in it? She glanced at Wyatt," maybe another of these big monsters has a water hose, maybe we can get it to work?" She didn't want to give up on the water, they needed it.

Wyatt smiled as the girl asked for kleenex. “Nope, we are out of those, but I’ll bring some next time I go to the store.” Wyatt once more joked. Then he learned that the girl her name was Mary. “Well nice to meet you Mary.” Wyatt replied.
Then Wyatt heard Emrys voice from behind him, telling them there was no water, but he did find power. “Great job buddy.” Wyatt replied as he turned around and gave him a thumb up. He also noticed Oliver. “Guess good job for you too.” He said before lowering his hands again. Then he listened to Tala and smiled. “Sounds like a plan, let’s continue the search.” He said as he looked at her.
"No Kleenex but may have an old shirt, or some rags in the machine," he said opening the door, "Could always use your sleeve, we won't judge." He smiled and grabbed a few rags, dish rags, all white, looking clean but wrinkled.
Just then he heard Emry speak. "Right on, power but no water. Was the power from the camp or a generator in the RV? Same with the water, was it hooked up, or was it coming from the water tanks. There's a little switch inside, that turns the valve off and on, switches the use." He rubbed his head.
"We might be able to use drinking water, if any of the RVs have any at all. Fill up the tank and let the water run. Would take quite a bit though." He looked at Tala and Wyatt, "what did you kids find? Anything at all?"
Mary took the rag and used it to blow her nose. Just then two more people joined the group. How many of them were there, anyway? Mary glanced around the place. Didn't seem like anyone else was with them. Mary wiped her nose and the tears from her cheeks. Starting to breathe a little better.
“How are you doing on food?” she asked, and right on cue her stomach let loose with another growl.
Tala introduced the two of them to the new survivor, which he had noticed quickly, he was always on the lookout to see where people were. Though, it was mainly to find where they were and choose to avoid that place. He wasn't very good at greeting people, so he just awkwardly smiled and said his name.
"Emyr."
Wyatt also seemed pleased with their work, giving him a thumbs up and a compliment. Emyr answered the questions. "The power's from a generator in the RV and the water was done through its hose, came out brown though." They didn't think of checking for a switch, the others were probably better suited to the job. He put his hands in his pockets and waited for the next step.
