Two days. Had it really been two days since that road side motel? She sat up groggy and looked around the back room of the bar. She had needed sleep. To her right Cas was still sleeping. She knew he needed rest with his wounds and had pushed to wait a few days before heading out to search for the others.
Tala drew her her knees up and slowly left her sleeping back, trying her best not to disturb him. She could hear others out in the main room. They needed to come up with a plan. She was sure the girls were alright. Mark and Ash would take care of them. They always had.
It had been two days since their daring, impossible and probably stupid rescue. Although Marko never actively thought of it, there was a subconscious part of him that desperately hoped his conscuence would be put at ease. He did not abandon them in their time of need when walking away was the safer and easier option, these people whom he had only met little more than a day before. He came back for them, went through hell and put himself in danger to rescue them, even taking on a few new lost souls in the process. He did good, by all means.
Yet the nightmares still come whenever he closes his eyes. He did good, but he doubted anything could make him forget. Including the empty Vodka bottle that sat by his side on this god-forsaken roof. Naturally, he had taken the night shift, and naturally, he had been drinking on the job. The makeshift guardpost on the roof was nothing more than a cheap cloth parasol and a deck chair, but that was all it needed to be. Marko picked himself up, using the rifle he carried as leverage, and proceeded to head towards the ladders downstairs. The rusty metal creaked with each step, but thankfully didn't break.
Downstairs was the bar itself, which now served as the gathering place for their ragtag band. The corpses were burned and most of the bloodstains were cleaned out. The bar didn't look as decrepit as when Wyatt and Marko originally came across it. Two stories, excluding the roof, plus a basement for supplies and a steel grate out the front door for that extra bit of security. In time, if they decide so, this place could turn out to be a proper safe haven.
And yet he somehow knew that might not be possible. The girls were still out there, with Ash and well... if fortunate, Mark. Marko had made a promise that he intended to keep.
His boots thudded loudly everytime he took a step down the wooden stairs. "Morning, people" He spoke with a smile, as the open bar came into view and his feet touched the floor. "So, what's for breakfast?" Just something he always liked to ask. It reminded him of better times, when they could sit down and enjoy a perfectly cooked omelet and coffee, without the need to worry about whether they would be dead that same evening.
Emyr had been with the people two days now, he had still kept himself quite distant from everyone else, only talking when spoken to, which hadn't been much. Emyr just often watched conversations from afar but not participated in them, he was still interested in the conversations, just not comfortable enough to participate in them.
Emyr sat on the side, he noticed one of the men who had taken him in enter. The man seemed friendly, with a smile on his face and greeting everybody. Emyr was wide-eyed and waved awkwardly to the man from the other side of the room, that meant he didn't have to speak to the man but could show his greeting. Emyr smiled, he was enjoying it here. He didn't have to speak and he was actually treated like a person. Perhaps these people weren't half as bad as he'd previously thought.
Rose couldn't believe it, they actually stayed with these people. It was crazy, they had hardly knew them. It had been two days and they hadn't parted ways, never had that happened for them. Even the old guy with one eye only lasted a night, but yet they stayed. Maybe they liked them, or maybe they just didn't give a shit. Still it was nice to have people to talk to, and show Hera off to. At least nothig bad happened.
Rose sat alone in the back of the bar. She was at a table, he stuff leaning on the wall behind her. A deck of cards rested in her hand as she shuffled them, preparing to play a game a solitare. She had found the deck behind the bar, it helped to past the time. She hadn't asked the others, besides Hera, if they wanted to play though, she liked solitare.
She looked up as people started to stir. She hadn't spoken much to anyone, besides to speak her mind or sugest something. She had remained quiet, unatural for her.
"What's the plan today," she asked as she placed down a few cards, "what's on the agenda? Sit around like more lumps. Or are we actually doing something?"

2 days passed since the new formed Group escaped those ass holes. Now they finally had some time to rest. Wyatt woke up and immediately heard Marko, he said morning to everyone in the room. “Morning Marko.” He said as he got up from his sleeping spot. His shoulder was still a little sore, but was slowly healing up. Wyatt stretched out before he walked over to Marko. While he walked closer he heard how Marko asked what was for breakfast. “Well no clue what yet, but I’m pretty sure it will be something canned.” Wyatt said with a smile.
Then he looked around and saw the guy, Emyr was his name, that had car trouble sitting, still looking a little frightened or rather uneasy. In the back of the bar he could see one of the girls playing cards. “We need to come up with a plan soon, everyone is getting a bit lazy I think.” Wyatt whispered to Marko.
After some time he walked over to Emyr. “You ok?” he asked. Wyatt felt a bit sorry for the guy, he had no clue how the man survived the apocalypse, but Wyatt wasn’t a person to leave a survivor behind. He also didn’t want Emyr to feel uneasy, Wyatt wanted everyone in the group to feel good or at least ok, even in these circumstances.
Then his attention got drawn to the girl in the back. She asked what the plan was for today, but rather in a rude way. “Easy wonder woman, be glad you have time to relax for a bit and no worries we’ll get a plan and do things when everyone is ready.” Wyatt answered. “For now just keep calm.” He added followed by a wink. Wyatt shared the opinion, that they needed to do something, but he didn’t want to worry the others if there was no reason. Besides Cas needed rest with his wound.
Tala walked out into the main room of the bar. She leaned against the counter for a moment and stared at the four in the room. Wow, they were a rag tag group, that was for sure. She snagged a can from behind the bar.
She crossed over and sat down across from Emyr, and popped the top on a very old coke. She took a sip and made a face. It was wet, at least. She glanced at Wyatt." Don't push, Wy." She smiled at Emyr, then glanced at Rose. She seemed annoyed." Alright, so what are the ideas? We go looking for the others?" She glanced at Marko, then Wyatt." Ash and Mark won't let anything happen to the girls, we all know that. So do we stick with the original plan, hope to meet up with them in Colorado, or try looking for them?" She took another sip," anyone have any idea where they went?" Tala had an idea, but wanted to see where everyone's head was at before she said anything about it.
Emyr sat completely up right, stiff, like a robot, his hands were placed just slightly above each knee, in exactly the same position on the different leg. He stood out like a sore thumb, all the others looked calm and relaxed whilst he looked like awkward and uneasy. He was slightly nervous yes, but that was just the way he wanted to sit, he wasn't similar to most people.
A girl came into the room and sat down near him. His eyes widened again, he was even worse at talking to girls than he was to men. She smiled at him and Emyr smiled back, rather uniquely. He had a fixed smile which was painfully wide. He wasn't trying to be weird, he just sort of, was weird. Emyr nervously tapped his knees, trying to distract himself with something to do. Then a man came over and asked about his well-being. Emyr nodded speedily, these people were sort of daunting, he'd never been around people before, but were the only ones that ever showed care and sympathy towards him, except his parents.
The topic then got onto what they were going to do. His head was confused by all the names and whatnot, he didn't really understand their situation. The man wasn't sure what he'd do, he could leave, he knew he could survive, he'd done it thus far. Walkers were easy, it was just people who caused him trouble. But Emyr rather liked it here, with people who actually treated him like a person, for now, he felt like his place was here.
"Wonder woman really," Rose asked looking at the man who spoke to her. 'be nice Rose, don't need to turn them away,' she thought to herself. But did they really expect to just relax. You relax you die. Plus the whole way had been semi relaxed. Rose wasn't on edge or freaking out, like the guy who sat stiff across from the woman, scared out of his mind. Rose was relaxed, calm.
"I'd kill for an invisible jet though," she said standing up from the table. She joined the others at the bar, leaning on it. The other girl spoke of their friends, how they were going to colorado. That sounded good, but how did they know they would be there? Colorado sounded cold, and really far. Maye they could go some place warm
With a wave and smiles Marko greeted the others, and found himself taking a seat at the bar. He mostly listened, sometimes prefering to watch rather than participate. Emyr looked like he was about to stand up and run away at any moment, the anxiety apparent on his features. Tala had just arrived, looking like she had just woken up. Castle is nowhere to be found, probably still resting from his injuries. Wyatt had found already found himself at odds with Rose, one of the newcomers; his comparing her to wonder woman seeming to be unwelcomed. Over the last few days, Marko had learnt their names but little more than that. And though they seemed like a good bunch, there was still a certain guarded friendliness between them.
A plan. That was the main thing they were looking for. Three days they have rested, and waited, and wasted. Three days could have been enough time for Ash to drive that RV to the next state. It was nearly impossible to find them, just wishful thinking at this point. Yet there was no choice for them, or at least for Marko. They have to try, even if it meant going on a wild goose hunt.
Finally, Marko spoke. As much as he tried not to sound like he's briefing them, the soldier's blood in him remained. "We managed to recover the supplies, so that should last us for the foreseeable future, but we could always use more. Though first priority should still be to find our missing people" He glanced over to the newcomers, not knowing if he should include them or not, or if they even cared about it. It wouldn't be so hard to understand: they never knew Ash or Mark or the girls, in fact Marko did not either. But a promise was a promise.
"The only problem is we haven't the slightest clue where they might be. Ash could have driven to new Meexico by now" He looked around the table to see if anyone had ideas, eventually meeting Tala's eyes, since after all, she knew them best.

Wyatt smiled and winked as Tala said he shouldn’t push. “I’m not, I’m not.” He wondered why Emyr was so scared, but the guy should tell the problem when he wanted to share. So Wyatt wouldn’t ask anymore, at least for now.
He looked at Rose as she spoke and clearly didn’t think wonder woman was a nice name. “Sorry, didn’t know you liked Superwoman better, my mistake.” Wyatt said with a smile and wink. Then he chuckled a bit as she spoke about the invisible jet. “Yeah or some adamantium claws, well either that or the gloves of Iron Man.” He joked.
After that he turned his attention back to Marko. He listened as Marko told them his plan. “Yeah finding the others should be our next step.” He said and nodded in agreement. Then Marko said the negative side of the plan was, that they had no clue where the others were. “Hmmm true it won’t be easy.” He said as he sighed. Then he turned to Tala. “Any chance they told you a meeting spot for when the group got separated?” Wyatt asked. “Never mind, probably not or we wouldn’t be here right now.” He added with a small smile. “Sorry trying to find solutions here, bear with me.” He said as he looked from Marko to Tala with a smile.
When the talk turned to superheroes, Emyr secretively put his hands to his side and started acting out a superhero battle using his thumbs. He was bored and when he was bored he'd try to find anyway to amuse himself. This was one of the more interesting conversations Emyr heard, he liked superheroes, they could stand up to others and fight for justice, something he had always wanted to do.
Emyr didn't have a problem, just being social and confident wasn't something he was. This felt like one of the most comfortable situation that he had ever been in. If anyone thought he seemed really nervous now, they were really wrong. Admittedly, he was quite frightened but this was one of his better times. There had been worse, much worse.
The group then began discussing the plan, he didn't have much of a clue what was going on, going to happen or what was going on. Emyr made a strange noise as he was beginning to speak up but changed his mind, it didn't matter now, he had everyone's attention. He coughed. "Who-who are these people and what is the situation?" Emyr was surprised that he didn't stutter much when he said it and even more surprised that he had spoken since meeting the group two days ago. What was happening to him? He'd never spoken up before.
Tala didn't like that all eyes seemed to be on her. They wanted answers. Answers she couldn't give." I don't know where they would go. I was hoping they would follow the original plan and head to Colorado, but I can't be positive they would." She glanced at Marko and then Wyatt. She felt useless and didn't like how they sorta had decided that she was the leader. How did she end up making the decisions, calling the shots? This was not what she wanted.
She ran a hand through her hair, and looked at Emyr as he spoke up. She looked at his face for a long time before she cleared her throat," their family. " she sighed and looked at Wyatt. Tears filled her eyes for a moment and then she wiped them with the palms of her hand. " I can't " she missed the girls. Those two had came to find her with Mark, left the others. They had made that choice. She stood up and moved toward Wyatt. She didn't wanna cry I front of anyone. She had let them down. She had promised, made too many and look how it turned out.
Emyr was proud of himself, he'd spoken up to strangers, something he'd never thought he was capable of achieving. A huge grin grew upon his face as he said it, whilst this was something small for anybody else, it was something huge for Emyr. He felt unstoppable, now he could go on and do anything.
Then it all came crashing down again. The girl began tearing up and weeping, Emyr wondered if he should have gone there. He didn't want to make her cry, he just wanted to know the truth. It was only a few seconds ago that he had plucked up the courage and spoke out, now he felt like he could never do it again. He felt cursed, whatever Emyr would try to do to help would end up failing or hurting others. Emyr felt bad, actually he felt terrible. It felt like this was a reminder why he shouldn't talk, maybe he wasn't going to again.
Emyr immediately looked down at his lap, trying to push everything out. I didn't want to hurt anyone. I didn't want to hurt anyone. He just stared at his lap for along time, doing nothing. Despite how much he tried, all he could think about was how he had made a mistake. Bad Emyr. Bad Emyr. Bad Emyr. The thought couldn't stop floating through his mind and continuously banging on his head. He stared at his lap. Just stared at his lap.
Rose looked at the young guy who joked with her, "of course Superwoman, unless the dead start sprouting Kryptonite I'd be fine. Now if I did turn, could you kill me? Your bullets would just bounce off." She laughed and played with an empty cup on the bar top. "Wonder Woman is fine though, I mean Hera is the god though. Look at her." Rose winked and leaned back in her seat.
When they started talking about all their friends Rose zoned out. She didn't know them, so she didn't really care. She watched the woman as she fought tears. Was she really crying? Rose burst out laughing at the thought. God they were weak, between the weird creepy guy and this chick they were weak. At least the other three seeme strong, but they looked like they didn't think.
"Why don't you just go back to where you lost them? Maybe they did the same," Rose suggested, "or go to Colorado, they could be there? It's worth a shot isn't it? Sitting here would do nothing."

He smiled at Rose as he continued the joke about the superheroes. “Of course I could kill you.” He said with a little chuckle.
Wyatt sighed as he heard that Tala had no clue where to search. Then his attention was drawn to Emry as he asked who the missing people were. Tala answered his question telling him it was family and Wyatt could see she had a hard time talking about it. Mere seconds later Tala looked at Wyatt and he could see her eyes getting watery. He felt sadness taking over his heart, mostly because he couldn’t stand seeing Tala so sad and of course because he also missed the rest of the group. He hear Tala saying she couldn’t, before walking closer to him. Wyatt could hear Rose her voice in the background, but he wasn’t paying attention, he was mainly focusing on Tala.
Wyatt walked over to her and laid his hand on her shoulder. “Want to go for a walk?” he asked as he looked in her eyes. His eyes would tell her, that he really wanted to speak her in private.
Marko had known the others for less than two days before they got separated, so he didn't find himself facing the same kind of emotions as Tala. Yet, there was still a twang of sympathy, feeling sad for her rather than missing the group themselves. He quickly blocked it out. It was time to be rational. "We can still look for them" He offered as a weak consolation, unable to truly guarantee anything more. Marko heard the quiet laugh Rosetta had given, but decided to let it slide. These people, after all, had no reason to care. On the other hand, Emyr looked like he was about to throw up. These were just the typical problems of a group of strangers.
"To answer your question, 'they' are two little girls, a woman and two men, one of whom is heavily injured the last we saw him" Marko spoke firmly and factually, leaving the emotions but still stressing the gravity of their dilemma. Watching Wyatt trying to comfort Tala, he remembered the wound Mark had received and the amount of blood which had poured out of it. He had seen guys with eye wounds before, the man was lucky the bullet didn't move just an inch more to the side. It wasn't a detail he felt the need to add.
"I doubt they would have gone back, since there's now about fifty guys who wants to kill us there" The motel was a clusterfuck of dead walkers and heavily armed soldiers who wished them dead, and that ruled out any chance of it being the place for a happy reunion. Marko paused to think, scratching his chin, before sighing in defeat. "Still, you're right. With what we got, Colorado might be our best bet."
"Last we heard there was a settlement there that could be safer than, well, everywhere else. We're planning to head up there, then if there isn't anything, keep going North." Marko continued. He didn't think there was a chance the, as first impressions go, callous woman could be convinced to come with them for the goose hunt, so he was offering something else. "You and your friend-" He gestured at Hera who had remained silent throughout their discussion, then glanced at Emyr, extending his offer to all three. "-can join us if you feel like it. There is safety in numbers"
Tala wasn't crying hysterically or even letting the tears fall. She didn't and wouldn't show weakness. She nodded when Wyatt asked her about a walk. It was the outburst of laughter that made her go stiff.
Marko was responding to Roses comment after her laugh at , what Tala assumed was her show of emotions. Wyatt's hands rested on her shoulders as he was walking her to the door. Tala froze. Rigid. She turned slowly , then shrugged off Wyatt's hands. In a matter of moments she was on Rose. Tala stormed over and kicked her chair, sending rose to an angle. Tala launched at her. She straddled her and both her fists flew at the girls face. " you think it's funny I give a shit about two little girls!" She acreamed at her," you cold fucking bitch!" Tala wailed on Rose's face , holding her down in the chair with her own body weight. Tala was raised with brothers. Older brothers. She didn't fight like a girl, she went at her like a man, fists clenched and making contact.
"You got Kryptonite on you then speedy," Rose asked turning back to Wyatt. She enjoyed this conversation better, it was lighter, less depressing. She looke at him, "I mean you aren't a bald super Villian, or a metal robot with a heart of it." She didn't get an answer back, instead the other guy spoke, answering the stiff.
"Wait little girls? As in kids? How the hell did they survive." She stated in disbelief, "why aren't you trying to find them? We could have left by now." She blinked and looked at them. Then in a flash the woman was on her. Rose felt the fist in her face, she barely had time before another her again. Roses brought up her arms to block her face, she'd been in enough fights to know what to do. She brought her knee up trying to hit her, the other woman's arms flailing.
Rose brought her own fists against the woman, throwing up blocks and fists back at her. She could feel blood in mouth, running from her nose. Her eye would swell, and lip would enlarge. Rose kept fighting, blocking and throwing just as many punches. How she was supposed to know they were kids? Until the one guy explained they had just said girls, girl could be anyone. No one was helping her, where was Hera.
The other woman was stronger than her, bigger too. With all her strength Rose pushed the girl back. Rose rolled to the side and stood on her feet, fists raised. "You want some. Come at me bitch," she growled back. It would be a fair fight now, none of this upper hand shit. If this one sided little princess fuck wanted a fight, then she'd give her one.

Before walking out with Tala, Wyatt reminded himself that he didn’t finish his conversation with Rose about the superheroes, he was mostly concerned about Tala and wanted to talk to her. But he would talk to Rose later, since he actually had fun during that conversation.
Wyatt heard Marko talking as he and Tala walked out, asking the others if they were up for staying together, since there was strength in numbers. Just then Wyatt felt how Tala shrugged of his hand and before he could do anything she rushed over to Rose and started hitting her. Tala yelled and asked if she thought it was funny that she was worried about the kids. Then Wyatt tried to remember what went wrong and in his mind he could hear Rose her laugh, it wasn’t until now that he realized that she was laughing with Tala. The moment that she laughed he was busy trying to take care of Tala, otherwise he would have told Rose to shut up.
Wyatt shook his head to stop thinking about what happened and do something about the situation at hand. He could hear Rose yelling that she had no clue it were kids. Wyatt rushed to the girls, as he made his way towards them he saw how Tala kept hitting. When he reached them, Rose pushed of Tala, so she ended up in Wyatt his arms. “Sssssh Tala calm down, she didn’t mean it like that, be smarter than this, let’s go outside to talk, it’s not easy for you, but I’m here, don’t waste your energy on this.” Wyatt said trying to calm her.
Mere seconds later Rose was back on her feet and yelled to come get some, finishing with calling Tala a bitch. “Enough of this!” Wyatt yelled out. “It wasn’t smart to laugh with feelings of other people, even if it weren’t kids, if someone misses another person and they feel emotional about it, you shouldn’t laugh about it, god dammit!” Wyatt yelled out. “It’s not because it’s the god damn apocalypse that you should black out all your feelings.” He added. “Now go take care of your wounds.” He said in a stern tone before turning to Tala. “And we will go for that walk alright.” He said in a softer tone.
Marko came over, answered his question and the last thing he said confused Emyr. Apparently, if he accepted it, would be heading to Colorado with the group. Marko's reason was because there is safety in numbers. Even if that was true, why would they want Emyr? Sure, numbers were a good thing but when some of the numbers couldn't contribute to the group, what would be the point in him tagging along? Plus, he'd just made one of the group cry, which he felt genuinely sorry for. He didn't know what he was going to do. People or alone? He had always been alone and people were the cause.
Before he could do anything, Tala came storming in and caused a brawl. Chairs being kicked, punches flying, blood dripping, mouths screaming, Emyr didn't like it. All he did was ask a question, and now it had just spiraled out of control. He shook his head and closed his eyes, this was not a situation he liked. The thing was, he was usually the one on a receiving end of a fight, ones he never asked for or fought back in. Nobody used to ever seem to care when people would punch him or push him around whereas Emyr would have cared if it were the other-way round. Emyr was concerned for the girls.
He bolted across to the corner of the other side of the room, almost being hit in the process. He turned, opposite to all the action, he'd seen enough. All it did was remind him of the times when it was him being beaten. He had been quite uncomfortable before but now he was extremely uncomfortable.
