Paul followed Jay into the barn and looked around. There were lots of women, and tatoos seperatimg four cots at a time. Paul saw Jay looking around uneasily. A lot of the women seemed unfazed, a few gospiping.
Paul leaned into Jay. "Want me to handle it," he asked with a smile. He looke around at all of them who were still up.
"I know people are probably gossiping and wondering what was going on. I came to the farm with another woman, and there was a misunderstanding. She was shot, and is in your intensive care. In a fear of the dead coming toward us we need you to keep calm. Maybe try and sleep. You need to keep quiet, and turn in for the night. This was Sarah's request."
Paul sat on a cot near the front and watched most of the women cooperating. He looked at Jay. "Thank you. Have a good night Jay."

He turns to the other and shrugs. if he wanted to handle it then he will. Jay watched as he the man sat on the cot he claimed before looking at the other women and ignored them. He turned back to Paul as he thanked him and bid him good night.
"You're welcome. Sweet dreams." With that, Jay walked back towards the house.
Brian looked at Sarah. "She's in bad shape, won't be up and walking for at least a couple of days. I told her to get some rest, not much more she could do, and she looks tired," he said to her calmly, "she knows not to walk on it, that her stitches will tear and she will bleed to death as I don't have supplies to heal it again, at least none I can spare for being stupid. Question her in the morning, get some rest, clear your head. No point stressing yourself over her right now. Everyone else is gone to bed, or on watch. If something happens Kira will wake you."
He moved forward, "oh and Sarah. I know how Max will handle this, it will not be friendly. He'll want those two shot. I don't want that, and I know you don't. He'll be angry, and looking for someone to blame. That may just be you. Just a warning. When he wakes I'll have Abby calm him, maybe keep him upstairs to rest his own leg." He looke at the woman again. "It's late, I'm going to tell Dean and India to go to bed. Good night Sarah."
He walked back into the med room. "You two can get some rest. There Shoul be cots in the barn," he said to India and Dean, "sleep in, I can handle any medical emergency." He waited for them to leave and looked at the girl who he jus operated on. "You rest too, I'm just in the other room. Kira and Louis are also near by. Call if you need any help, I'll lend you my crutches to get around if you need to relieve yourself. But for now I'm going to bed. Goodnight, I hope we can get this all straightened out in the morning."
He walked back to the living room and sat on a couch. Setting the crutches downnbeside him he let them rest. Swinging his good leg up he laid back. The lights were dim, just lanters. He close his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Jay walks into the house and looks around before settling against a secluded wall in the hallway with his sword beside him. His hand slowly reaches up and started to finger the goggles and dogtags that was hanging from his neck. Oh how he wished his parents or Sam was here to console him on the newcomers so he didn't have the bad scenarios running through his head. He leans his head back with a sigh and stared at the ceiling, waiting.
Sarah nodded at Brian. She knew he was right, but she didn't think she could sleep. She had walked to the kitchen and drank some water then came out. She had heard Brian move back to the living room. She walked into the hall and saw Jay. She reached her hand down," come on." She took his hand and moved out on the porch with him. It was quiet now. She could make out those on watch and sat down in the swing on the porch. She patted the seat next to her. Sarah placed her gun on the stand next to the swing. Once Jay sat down, she wrapped her arm around him and pulled his head to her shoulder, her hand stroking his hair," Brian said I should go to sleep, but I got a lot on my mind, seems maybe you do to, sweetie."

Jay leans into Sarah's embrace with a sigh. "Yeah, Just...been thinking about the past is all." He closes his eyes. "Been thinking about my parents and...Sam..." Even saying his parents and the name sends a painful jolt in his heart. It has been a while since he thought about them, he made sure to be busy or think of something else other than them.
Sarah leaned her head so it rested on top of his. She sighed softly," I know ,sweetheart, we all have people we miss." She gently started to rock the swing. Her fingers stroked Jays hair and ran down his arm. Sarah started to hum softly and then began to sing a song she had known her whole life. It was an old hymn and she was very soft with it. She kept the swing going," just relax." She said softly trying to help him get some sleep.

"Okay." He slowly closed his eyes, listening to her as she hummed. He felt himself relax fully and he started to get tired. Whatever she was humming was doing the trick. His mind slowly settles and fog with drowsiness before, finally, he slips into a dreamless sleep and become practically dead to the world around him.
It had been a long day and she was still very unsure of the people she was with and the place where she was at. She wasn't sure if she belonged here or not but at least she could help out in little ways and if that meant helping the doc, then so be it. She promised to contribute and that's what she felt like she did. It was a long day and she felt herself pretty tired from the whole ordeal.
"Thank you Brian." She turned and headed for the barn to catch some rest as she had no idea what time she would be waking up and what she would be doing come morning. She looked at the woman she helped and tried to offer her a consoling smile as she left the house and went to her cot in the barn.
