Five months after setting sail from Pearl Harbor, Capt. Wagner and the ships of the 1st Commonwealth Squadron have arrived on the American West Coast, ready to look for survivors and once more, show the Union Jack on American shores...
Having gotten the message over the HMS Liverpool's intercom, Captain Wagner rushed up from her quarters to the ship's bridge - technically, it wasn't her bridge anymore, but the ship was still near and dear to her. "Alright, Robbie, talk to me," she said, pausing only long enough to slip on anti-flash gear over her head. Taking a helmet from one of the yeomen - the helmet said in small block letters, OIC 1 COMMONWEALTH SQDN - she listened as the ship's captain explained the situation.
"We were about to send a couple helicopters up to survey the mouth of the Columbia River here when we got, over the wireless, a Mayday from one of the strongholds...where was it, Lieutenant England?"
"Right here, Commander, in the town of Warrenton," she replied. As the ship's navigator, it was her job to keep the maps up to date, though in the world's current state, that was increasingly hard to do...but do she did anyway. "We asked for a location and they gave us the location of their local armory, a reserve location. They said they were being attacked by insurgents and that they needed help, fast."
For several moments, Captain Wagner considered her options, pursing her lips in thought. "Tell the stronghold leader we'll send assistance as soon as possible; meanwhile, have Major Gerrard and Major Shankly report to the bridge and have the rest of the squadron warm up their helicopters as well in case their needed.
"In the meantime, have both Lieutenants Curtis and Sumner warm up their helicopters and prepare for flight. Action Stations, everyone."
