Clara threw her jacket over her sister to shield from the unrelenting rain that had rolled in, Even with the weather being as it was joy still filled her heart at the thought that she was standing next to her once again. The cut on Anna's arm from those savages she had escaped from looked to be healing up as best as it could under the circumstances which relieved Clara, "It's gonna give you an awesome battle scar." She would tell Anna whenever they rebandaged it.
Making their way through the woods they had begun to see what looked like the hints of a town appear as they moved, a town sign along the road, the tell tale signs of what looked to be asphalt cutting through the pristine woods, and soon the brick siding of a store that began to cut through the tree's. "We need to find somewhere to stay Clara..." Anna said in a weak fashion as they moved. Clara had grown used to moving long distances over the years spent with her hunter caretaker but Anna, spending most of her time after the world went to shit locked in one room or the other was still not accustom to the long treks they had done throughout the last few weeks as they made their way eastward from Missouri, ending up in Pennsylvania the two had been wondering for any sign of life, any sign of another safe place like Sunrise had seemed to be before hearing of the bandits nearby.
"We need to get to one of those buildings and dry off Clara.." Anna sighed once again as her feet flared in pain with every step, The buildings had become clearer as they drew closer to the outskirts of the town and as they stepped foot on the road a series of shots rung out from somewhere in the town. "People!" Clara exclaimed as the sounds met her ears, a sense of hope filled her in as she thought about having more friends around, more people to talk to; Not that she didn't like talking to her sister because she wholeheartedly did but the more people the better in Clara's mind. "Wanna go find em?" she asked her younger sister as they came up to the brick wall they had seen through the tree's, "Do I want to go towards people that are shooting? No.. Why would ANYONE do that?" she said with a shiver at the thought of who was shooting and exactly what they were shooting at.
Letting the words from her sister wash over her Clara paid no mind to her caution which had seemed to be a running theme with them since their reunion. Making their way around the side of the building to find the entrance they saw what had made the noise, down the road leading further into town there was a man standing next to a horse, a woman seemed to be walking off with something swung over her shoulder and was gone within a few seconds. "He doesn't look like he has any guns Anna." Clara said as she watched the man standing near the horse, a few biters had begun to shamble out of the buildings on queue with the crack that had split the air moments ago. "You don't know that." She responded as she eyed the figure in the distance as he looked in the direction that the woman had disappeared in.
without a word Clara swung her rifle off her shoulder and began to move in the direction of the man with the biters between them and him. "Hey!" she shouted out to get his attention, "Biters!" she shouted once again to draw attention to them, Anna had reluctantly followed her and grabbed her pistol as well in case she needed to protect herself, she wasn't worried about the biters, but the man instead. With a few pulls of the trigger Clara sent a few of the biters toppling down which had cleared a path for them to approach the man, "Only a few left man, you got a weapon or anythin?" she said as they came up a distance away from him, Anna stayed vigelant of the man just in case as Clara sent a few more bullets down range into the approaching group. "just a few more." she said as she turned to the man in the hopes that she wouldn't have to waste more ammo
