Melissa and her brother Matthias were asleep in the log cabin. It was still dark as it was the early morning hours of the next day. The day before, Inola had brought home a deer which was skinned and gutted. But, her eyes opened up as she all but screamed out as her hand went to her throat. In the dream she had, her ex had come back to the cabin and was injured. She had scrapes, cuts, and chunks of tissue missing from her arms. In it, Melissa had let Lindsay to lay down onto Mel's bed. But as she was tucking Lindsay to sleep after cleaning up her injuries, Lindsay had shot upwards with a white glaze like eyes and tore a chunk out of Mel's throat leaving the Native american shocked and bleeding to death while she was gasping for air. Sitting up in her bed, she looked around in the darkness and saw no one around. Sighing to herself, she gotten out of bed and went and gotten cleaned up for the day. After getting dressed, she walked out into the living room area of the Cabin from walking down the stairs from the upstairs area and down onto the ground floor. Walking over to the one couch, she grabbed her black boots and put them on, tying them tightly. Looking down at the floor, she rubbed her face a bit to ward off any sleep that she had wanted to get. Patting her legs, she pushed herself up to her feet as she grabbed her Bullet proof vest and put it onto herself and made sure it was tight up against her so that it wasn't bouncing around. Walking towards the door, she would reach over and grabbed her AKM Assault Rifle. She wasn't going to be hunting today for wild game, no. She was going out to scavenging for other supplies since winter was coming.
Grabbing her Jeep's keys, she opened the front door, stepped outside and closed the door behind her. Most of her Melee weapons were already in the Jeep. Taking a few steps, she walked over to the Jeep and climbed in. Taking the key, she fired up the jeep and turned on the roof's lights and her headlights. The side of the Cabin was lit up with the bright lights as she put the Jeep into Reverse and turned it around. Shifting into first gear, she would drive down the old, warned out dirt driveway. Bouncing every now and then, as she drove, she reached back and grabbed her seat belt and slid it onto herself and clicked it as it locked into place, keeping her safe if she was to get into an accident. After what felt like an hour of driving, she hit the main asphalt road and turned a right from the mountains that she and her brother live on. She was heading towards the closest town there was. A Town that was hard to see on a map, but she had forgotten the name of it since it has been years without seeing people in it. For now, she just calls it Ghost town. Shifting a couple more times, she now raced in third gear. As the sun was starting to light up the area, she saw that there was clouds over head. Storm clouds. Shaking her head, she would need to hurry up, park the Jeep and put the top down so that everything inside of the Jeep didn't get ruined by Rain. Driving as fast as she could without getting into a wreck, she reached the edge of town and drove down the main street of it. Heading towards the small mechanic shop, she pulled up in front of it and threw it into Reverse. Turning the wheel and backing up, she backed on up into the open bay of the shop and turned it off once it was inside. Undoing her Seat belt, she jumped out and went into the back where she undid the tarp like material that was the top for her Jeep. After a few minutes of strapping it down and making sure the latches were tight, she grabbed her assault rifle and stood there, looking at empty town from the distance of the shop's bay door.
Thinking for a bit, she walked back to the Jeep and sat half way on the driver seat. Reaching over, she turned on the CB radio and changed the frequency and keeping note of what the general frequency of what she usually has it on. Picking up the hand held, she pushed down onto the button for the CB Radio's hand held and began to speak into it. "This is Melissa Inola Godshaw, I'm one of maybe a few survivors living in Pennsylvania. Me and my brother live in the Pocono Mountains and I am currently at the Town of Worlds End...is there anyone still alive and able to hear my voice, it would be nice to hear another soul's voice at this point in time...over..." Sitting there as Static filled the air of the Radio's speaker. Sighing to herself, she set the hand held down onto the seat and stood up, waiting a bit to hear if there would be any one responding to her message. With her AKM in hand, she stood guard for a while until she would either Hear a response or she would just decide to go from house to house, looking for clothing, gear, ammo, fuel or whatever else they are going to need to be able to survive the winter that was creeping around the corner. A Loud boom was heard over head as lightening flashed across the sky above her. Lighting up everything and everywhere in her visual view of the area.
