Captain Beloi let his thoughts drift when India and China were mentioned. If all was going as planned, then the Indian Navy would eventually be making it's way across to the Southern part of the country. However they'd received no confirmation of that. Vasily let out a sigh, they were supposed to have been there a while ago, in fact they should have heard from them by now, though that clearly wasn't the case. Perhaps they were merely having communications issues or perhaps even finding a place to make their landing so they could offload their troops. Or worse, they were running into resistance.
He pushed the thoughts from his head in time to hear Ms Sharpe asking them to follow her, to what she'd described as a small guardpost. Vasily figured the significance of it was that you could see much of Belle Isle from there. Vasily was glad for the 1P78 Kashtan optic on his ASh-12.7, seeing as it was designed to be used as both a close quarters and a medium range sight, something that was going to be very useful in an urban battleground. Though they were not very useful in looking around the island from a potential vantage point, and for that he had a pair of BPO 7x30 Binoculars with him.
With that, he stood up from his chair and made to follow Ms. Sharpe out the room, naturally waiting for the Colonel to join him first. He had to admit it, her explanation of what was going on in the world was certainly proof of one thing, she was more than ready for her newly appointed rank of Colonel. Comprehensive but concise briefings on increasingly complicated topics were the mark of a good high ranking officer, and here she gave one on the state of the world in fairly quick order. Even if he was somewhat distracted during it, he could tell that much.
