"Brother Craig I can smell you from up here." Brett called back to the sweating man behind him. "Sorry Brother Brett. I'm just nervous about meeting these barbarians." Brett chuckled. Word had quickly spread around the community about the meeting. After addressing his followers he had asked for Vlad and Craig to accompany him. Craig had been with Brett for about four months. He'd gotten out of rehabilitation two months ago. The giant Russian named Vlad was Brett's main body guard. The Russian was his most brutal and one of his most loyal followers.
"They're not Barbarians they're lost souls." Looking back at his two companions Brett lead then towards the castle. "It wasn't just a coincidence that our two communities would meet. The good lord above had said, Son go forth and help show these people to a better tomorrow. And we as his loyalist of followers will aid these lost souls into Bear Lake."
Brett and his two companions soon reached the castle. Knocking on the door the group of three waited.
With the exception of the one arrival--George--Adolphus never answered knocks at the gate himself. This tended to be a mater of logistics. Seldom was Adolphus even down in the courtyard. But the three men arriving today has been expected, and Adolphus made sure his most trusted were armed and ready within the courtyard's walls, just in case. As the knock came, he gave one last glance around to BB, Gabe, Ivy, Carter, and he even brought George along. It was good to keep the man close, considering he knew Anthony and Remy. If he was their spy--which seemed unlikely--he'd want him near in case he needed to deal with him quickly.
As Adolphus' eyes locked with those of all his subordinates, he gave a quick nod, as if to remind them to open fire at the slightes sign of things going south. At that, he opened the gates himself to the sight of three men.
He looked from man to man, and he assumed the man standing in the center would be the group's leader. After eying the men for a moment, he spoke. "State your names, and where you've just come from."
Of course, he knew where the men were from, but these were their first words to be exchanged and he demanded the formalities.

Ivy noticed how Adolphus looked around one more time and nodded. They all knew that was the sign for keep an eye and if they try something shoot first, ask questions later. Then the gates opened and they could all see the three men standing there. Ivy tightened her grip on the handgun she had in her one hand, she was slightly nervous, she was used to use her saber but for now a gun would be safer. Ivy glared at the guy who was speaking up and then turned her glare into the her famous bitchy look. She looked at the guy his face and slowly lowered her eyes until she reached his feet, after that she just shook her head and smiled. She thought the guy looked like crap for one thing, but she didn’t say anything, Adolphus was speaking so she just stood there and watched the whole situation.
BB stood next to Ivy. Or as he referred to her; the 'Duchess of Dung'. Her 'high and mighty I'm above everyone else attitude' was something BB frowned upon. BB being someone who was always looked down upon, Ivy was lucky Adolphus enlisted her as one of his lieutenants and couldn't be touched. Otherwise BB would've loved to teach her some humility by having her stripped buttnaked and then give her to his henchmen. Maybe organize some kind of bukakke ceremony with the Duchess in the middle of it all, taking in all the splooch. BB grinned underneath his ghostly mask at the thought of it. But he kept his cool nevertheless, not showing the Duchess his disrespect towards her. He'd call her names in Dutch sometimes while smiling, giving her the impression he gave her a compliment when in fact he'd give her an insult. It was funny.
The man who he had been sent to find kept true to his word and came by just like he said he would. Score one for BB. Guess anyone would be inclined to see what was going on if you offered them a crate of AK's. He knew the cult's leader name but he waited for Brett to introduce himself regardless.
Brett flashed his warm smile as the doors opened. Seeing the man who told them to state their names and where they were from Brett happily obliged. "My name is Brett. I am the leader of the Community of the Second Sun. These are two of my followers. Vlad and Craig." Craig gave a light wave as he was introduced. Vlad just stared at the froup.
"There's no need for the weapons." Brett kept his warm smile up as he talked. "I understand you want whats inside Bear Lake just as much as we do." Brett's smile faded zoning in on Adolphus.
They were all stood around, Gabe and the other lieutenants. Gabe was stood behind them a couple of steps away, but could perfectly hear what was going on at the gate and if anything were to happen between the other lieutenants. Was Gabe sure that they were trust worthy? Not entirely. BB had gone out to meet with their cult, but it could all easily be a trap. As Adolphus took a last look at them, Gabe gave a nod to say he was ready if anything went down.
The gate opened and the look of them was very cult like, atleast they weren't lying to other about the cult thing. As the Boss Man and the cult leader exchanged words, Gabe looked at BB. "You met this guy, right? Do you think he can be trusted?" he said with a whisper, not wanting to disturb the other conversation.
BB shook his head at Gabe's question. But then again, he didn't trust anyone. It's what had kept him alive until now. His henchmen were only loyal to him because he gave them all the plunder, fun and women they wanted and because he was the craziest sumbitch of them all.
"As far as I can throw them." BB answered Gabe with a hushed voice. "But we need cannonfodder when we take that mountain camp to soak up the bullets. At least these guys want it as badly as the old man. And I sure as shit ain't dyin' because Uncle Adolph wants to reconnect with his old friends."
Adolphus quickly and curtly smiled at Brett, ignoring the other two men for the moment. They were just the man's protection, not that it would do him much good if Adolphus gave the order to fire on them. But it was just for show, as far as he could tell, and Adolphus understood that. Before so much as entering the gates, Brett mentioned Bear Lake. Adolphus smiled once again and waved his hand. "In due time, my friend! May I offer you three a drink? We've managed to get our hands on beer and liquor. Or if you'd prefer to not dull your senses, we have water as well," he motioned for them to follow them inside into the courtyard.
Before continuing to speak, he shot a look up at BB. Adolphus wasn't BB's biggest fan, but BB had been the one to organize this meeting, and for that Adolphus was grateful. He'd have to show BB his gratitude later. It was a pleasant enough day, and Adolphus had organized for a large table to be brought out into the courtyard, surrounded by heat lamps. It was warming up outside, but it was still winter, after all.
"Please, sit," Adolphus waved his hand in the direction of the chairs. Adolphus, too, sat down on his end of the table, surveying the three men, but particularly Brett.
"If we are to combine our forces and then take Bear Lake...we'll control three large strongholds. Trade and supply routes, expansion. We could expand our region of influence indefinitely," he noted flatly, his gaze fully upon Brett from across the table.

Ivy kept her eyes to the three man as they spoke to Adolphus, that way she would notice if something was about to get wrong. The only thing distracting her where the whispers of BB and the other guy next to him. It wasn’t bad enough that BB was standing next to her, now he distracted her too. She and BB where most definitely not good friends, they tried to be as friendly as possible, but they were just too different. Now what was the name of the guy next to him again, most of them called him Gib, Goob, Gabe, Ivy shook her head as she couldn’t remember what he was called. I’ll call him Garfield for now, she thought, close enough. Then her attention went back to the conversation and the three guys. She let out a loud sigh and gave them an annoyed look to make sure they could hear she was getting annoyed. They would all do their best to be sort of friendly with each other, cause that was what Dolph wanted, so she didn’t say anything, but the sigh and the look was necessary.

"Water would be fine. Thank you." Brett said as he sat down. Vlad remained standing behind the cult leader as Craig sat down beside Brett. Brett crossed his legs and leaned back in the chair.
"I'm just as excited about our new alliance but I do have some reservations." Brett placed his arms on the table keeping his warm smile up. "Do you have everyone's respect here?" Brett knew his people would gladly die for him. Some have. He was more curious how everyone felt about their leader in this community.
"Brother I mean no ill feelings towards you asking that. I only ask because if we're going to attack a place like Bear Lake I need to know that we won't have any issues with them listening to your orders." Brett sat back in his chair his smile not once leaving his face.
Adolphus nodded towards one of his men, a particularly large one. Waltz was his last name. The man's size made him look all the stranger as he carried the small, ornate pitcher of water to the table. Adolphus poured four cups, one for himself and each man.
He shifted in his seat at Brett's question. He knew the true answer. His eyes darted to BB and narrowed. Quickly, he turned his attention back to Brett and smiled. The truth was he didn't have everyone's respect..he had Gabe and Ivy, most likely. To BB, he was simply an asset, which was why BB may have to be dealt with sooner than later. Other men viewed Adolphus in a way similar to BB, but BB held a position of power--he was more dangerous. But he wasn't about to instill such a lack of confidence in his new ally. "My men will follow my orders," he nodded to the man, content with his honest answer. For, truth to tell, it was an honest answer. BB and Adolphus were going to, at some point, reach a disagreement that could not be overcome. But for now, BB was solid. "They will behave however I--and you--would like."

Brett nodded towards Adolphus as he accepted his cup. Craig grabbed his and Vlad slowly took his cup. "That's good. My people though not expert fighters are numerous and loyal." Brett took a drink from the glass before he continued talking. "Unfortunately we have very limited weapons. Mostly pistols and rifles."
Craig watched his leader knowing he wasn't afraid of the barbarians. "We'd be willing to offer what supplies we can spare. Ammo, medicine, Meat, canned goods." Brett kept his friendly smile up. The cultist knew their meat wasn't the same as what used to sold in stores. It was the end of the world and everything was free game. Many lives were ended in the kitchen of the convention center so they could live. Everyone in the community knew what they were eating but no one complained when the second coming was as generous as he was.
Adolphus, too, continued to smile as Brett explained he'd be able to offer whatever he could. Rumor had it that the Cultists favored a different kind of meat, and Adolphus would abstain from such a thing. "Your medicine and ammunition, and your canned goods, would be most appreciated," he nodded and took a long gulp of water himself.
Now it was time to discuss strategy. The smile finally faded from his face. "I've sent in three people: a man, a woman, and a child. They're disguised as a family in Bear Lake, and, upon my order, will help to sabotage it. I plan to meet with Bear Lake's leaders and give them one chance to surrender."

Ivy stood there and watched the man with a false smile as he agreed to have some water. “Avec some poison.” Ivy softy whispered so only she would be able to hear it. Then she heard how Brett said he had some reservations. Ivy just wanted to roll her eyes on that comment but she didn’t since everyone would be able to see that including Brett and the other men.
Brett asked if Dolph had everyone his respect, and Dolph answered that all of his people would listen and do as he would ask.
“We will do as our leader pleases.” She said with her French accent as she glared at Brett and slowly placed her hand on Dolph his shoulder. Then she stepped back and kept listening to the conversation, until Adolph would ask her something she wouldn’t speak.
Looking at the woman that spoke up Brett's smile didn't fade. He looked back at Adolphus as he explained. "Are you going to call them out then and there or are you going to meet with them like we have?" Brett asked casually as if they were two friends catching up.
"I do have one request. If they're are survivors that we have captured i'd like to assimilate some into my community." Brett would accept the people in before he either accepted them or make them apart of the next weeks meal. Brett didn't know how far rumors would spread about his cult but he assumed them to be minimum since not a lot of people remained alive.
"I can and will be civilized with them...ask to speak with their leaders." Adolphus explained to Brett, speaking slowly and methodically. "Let them bring some guards to a neutral location, I'll do the same. I'll explain the terms. If they don't surrender, they'll die. It's rather...simple."
Adolphus' smile quivered at Brett's request. He hadnt thought about current Bear Lake residents. Adolphus had assumed that he and Brett would work together to take Bear Lake and manage its people in the same fashion--their lives wouldn't change at all--just their leaders. He shrugged and continued speaking. "If you'd like to assimilate some, I cannot stop you"
"I do have one more question if you don't mind Brother." Brett looked at his glass of water before he took another sip. "Have your people on the inside been able to get any information out to you?" Brett was curious about the inside of bear lake. Their defenses was the first thing on his mind.
