Nate had left bear lake with more than he arrived with. Though two of his companions weren't give their weapons back, Nate still was able to supply them. He had given his 9mm to Jake, taking a rifle for himself. With the rations and ammo taken by himself and the medical supplies take. My Mia the group had a decent chance. Together, Nate, Mia, Jake, Emre, Versn and Dale left the camp.
The walk out of bear lake and towards the cabins had been long and cold. He could have sworn snipers were on his back the whole time. At the cabins the recovered what ever supplies wasn't covered in snow. There they also recovered Jakes car. All had piled into the car as they drove to their destination.
Not long after driving down the road they had found an old beat up truck. It ran an had gas, that's all they needed. Splitting the group and half they took the two cars. Nate, Mia, and Emre in the truck, Jake, Veran and his son in Jakes car.
Nate drove down the highway, the car following behind him. He gripped the wheel. They had just passed into Kansas. It had been roughly two weeks since they left. They stopped often to search and gather supplies. Fuel was rare and the roads were scarce
As as they drove down the road Nate rolled down the window. He felt the cold air come in as he signalled the car behind him to pull over. There was a gas station up ahead, plus he needed to stretch his leg. He pulled off on the side of the road, just before the gas station and slowly climbed out. He grabbe the rifle from the back of the truck and got it ready.
