"It's good to see you again as well. Since a good bit of things happened out in California and left some pretty dark memories in my mind. I figured I'd leave Tamara's group because of certain...unforeseen events happened. While driving, I saw the map of where I was and saw I was back in Michigan. I guess you can call it fate that lead me back here again. Back to this little slice of Heaven me dear." Hannah said, her right hand sliding on top of and over Sarah's hand; the touch sent shivers up-and-down Sarah's spine, which caused her to squirm a little bit as she sat on the bed. Nodding as she listened, Sarah replied, "Well, regardless of what happened, the good thing is that you're still alive and kicking," squeezing Hannah's hand gently, "and it kinda' confirms something I thought long about after the group you were with left...," pausing her sentence as she leaned over and gently, almost invisibly, brushed Hannah's cheek with her lips, "....and that was that you'd find your way back here someday."
Leaning back where she sat, Sarah chuckled a little and shook her head in an almost bemused sort of manner...she continued on, never having let go of Hannah's hand all the while. "Its' weird, Hannah....after the group you'd been with left, I kept thinking about everyone in the group and hoping they'd do well out there, but every time I would think about them, you were always the one I'd think about the most, the longest...," adding with a smile, "you get the idea.
"And a lot's happened here since you last visited....right after you guys left, a bunch of people here - including Ian, Sarah lamented momentarily - came down with the flu. Several of them died....but still, we kept on going, kept motoring on like the city out there," giving Hannah's hand another squeeze. "We've also pushed out the boundaries of what we control now; soon we're going to set up a permanent outpost on the other end of Detroit and work our way towards...," pausing again as her eyes glanced onto Hannah's for a second, "....each other, plus you can now add Mother to all the other titles I've ever had in my life up to now." Reaching back behind her, Sarah pulled out a photo of her daughter Meredith and showed the picture to Hannah.... "Her name's Meredith; she was born about six, seven weeks after the New York group left here. She's about four months old and everyone here just dotes on her; I just hope, Hannah, that there's a world for her to inherit someday..."
