After everything had happened outside with the unknown man, Alexander walked outside with her Revolver on his side and his Spaz 12 shotgun in hand. With a pair of slim sunglasses on, he walked over to the one who was barking out orders. He figured this was the second in command of Ms. Tamara's group from New York. With a smile on his face, he stepped up to the man as he was moving. "Excuse me young man, but is there anything you would like me to do? I don't want to feel like a third wheel around here and I don't really feel like being cooped up in the class room near the back of the Castle." With words like warm honey, he spoke gentle and calm. An unusual sight for sure since he was armed to the teeth with heavy hitting weapons. Looking at everyone running around to do what they were told to do.
Rushing upstairs as fast as he could possible, his body screamed at him to sit down and relax. But he knew he couldn't since there was a threat just out side of the mansion's gates and walls. Going into the open door way that was a bedroom. He wasn't sure if it was the master or a Guest since they all were big to him. Limping over to the window, he looked out and saw his crew scattered across the ground like broken rag dolls. His eyes drifted towards the gate and saw more had come for a meal. The gates wouldn't hold for much longer. Taking the butt of his gun, he would smash the window's glass. Pointing the muzzle of his rifle out of the window, he took aim and began to take shots at them. But knowing Tamara was most likely forming a search party, he pulled out his last Green smoke grenade. Pulling the pin, he would lean out of the window slightly and tossed the grenade up onto the roof of the mansion. Green smoke began to plume upwards into the sky. But as he was about to get back inside, he lost grip of the seal and stumbled a bit. His rifle falling to the ground below. Cursing at himself a couple of times as he pulled himself into the room. Last things he had was his handgun and his knife. Pulling them both out, he took aim with the Glock with the .357 rounds inside of it. "Can my day get any worse?" He said out loud. Baam, Baam, Baam his handgun fired to the response of him squeezing the trigger a few times. A few bodies fell to the ground as the gates began to bend to the will of the now horde. With horror in his eyes, he knew that his chances were now running low now. But he was going to fight til he dropped. Anger replaced the fear as he felt his stomach turned to the actions. Yelling at them in Defiance. "I am the Viking! I will not fall to your hands! Now come and get me if you can! I will not make it easy for you undead bastards!"
Like a mad man, he roared at the walkers as he fired round after round at those that advanced towards the mansion. But the one thing he didn't see, was that the co-pilot was still alive. She was crawling away from the horde that advanced towards her as well. Her high blood curling scream filled the air as he looked over. Seeing his copilot now being feasted upon and even ripped apart. "NOOOOOOOO!" He yelled out as he fired a few more times. Swapping clips, he slammed in a fresh one. Pulling the slide back and feeding a fresh round into it, he began firing again. But it was to late. She was now dead. Tears ran down his face as he knew it was his fault. He could have saved her if he had only looked before going up to the top floor. The rest of his crew was being feasted upon as well while the horde tried to get into the building he was in. Jason had some time since the helicopter was blocking the hole in the wall. But it didn't mean they couldn't get in through windows or breaking the doors down. Falling to his knees, thats when the pain shot through him again which caused him to yell out in pain. Looking down, he had a piece of metal from the helicopter sticking out of the knee.
With ammo starting to deplete, he needed his assault rifle. But it was by the ground floors one window which had walkers by it. Shaking his head, he took the red fabric cloth from around his neck and tied it around just above his knee. Grunting in pain, he lifted himself up to his good foot. Pushing the button on the headset, he would try to send out a message. "Tamara...you out there? If you can hear me...I don't think I will be able to make it out of this one Tigress...there's to many of them outside and they're trying to get in. I will be like Daniel Boon at the Alimo. I will fight them as long as there is a breath left in my body. I'm sorry Tamara." Grunting as he made his way back to the staircase, he would descend downwards towards the living room. Limping towards the one window, he saw they were focused on they're meals or at the walls trying to get into the place. Going towards the window he saw the rifle, he looked out and saw it laying there. He could lean for it, but it would leave him exposed for them. Slowly opening the window, he saw that they weren't paying attention that much to him. With his knife in hand, he swung heavy as he leaned out. His fist met the face of the one walker and caused it to fall into a few others, buying him time. Leaning down, he grabbed the strap and began to pull it back up to him. That's when he saw one of them coming for him. Yanking the gun, he stumbled backwards and landed hard on his ass. Laughing and crying at the same time, he didn't know that he was still broad casting out.
The transmission heard over the radio
Jason: Ha ha ha ha! Your not going to get me that easily! You got to work for your meal you bastards! Silent sounds of gun shots are heard over the radio as he began to fire his silenced M-4 assault rifle. Glass breaking is then heard all around him as he yells in pain. heavy foot steps with a boot drag is heard. Another few shots is heard and Jason yelling at them in a roar of anger. The headset hitting the ground with the radio is heard as Jason going away in a somewhat fast manor is heard. Then more foot steps and even wood breaking. The head set and radio being kicked is heard as it slides across the marble ground and then a crunch before Static fills the air waves.

As the Skyvan rolled down the runway under Clancy's guidance, Tegan could feel the bumps in the grass airstrip and hoped they didn't pitch over hitting a sinkhole or something as they picked up speed....and Clancy wonders why I love helicopters more? she thought, her hands gripping the controls as Clancy called off distance and speed; eventually, both of them pulled back on the controls and the Skyvan took off with a start, hitting the air with a mighty roar....
10 minutes later.... As they flew in what they believed to be the general direction that Kern and his helo crew had taken - and with assistance from both Sarah back at San Simeon and their mystery guest from the north - Tegan decided to let Clancy handle the controls while she handled the radios and gave out directions; it was while she was looking out through the cockpit windows for any sign of them that she heard the radios go off and....
"Tamara...you out there? If you can hear me...I don't think I will be able to make it out of this one Tigress...there's to many of them outside and they're trying to get in. I will be like Daniel Boon at the Alamo. I will fight them as long as there is a breath left in my body. I'm sorry Tamara." It was Kern and by the sounds of it, he was preparing for a last stand. Picking up the handheld, she spoke with a clear and firm voice, hoping to reach him..."Kern, listen to me; you are going to make it out of there and you are going to make it back to San Simeon, do you understand? I want you to get back on your gun and hold out as long as you can, understood? We will come get you; you hang on, Kern!" Looking over towards Clancy, she said, "Can't you make this sonuvabitch go faster?"
"Yeah, if you want to trade speed for altitude--" Clancy began, only for Tegan to add, "Well, then do it, dammit! We can argue about it in the next life...now, go!" Turning back towards the rear of the aircraft, she shouted, "Hang on, everyone!"

By now, Thomas knew the skies would be somewhat congested - besides the boxy aircraft coming towards them from San Simeon, there were now two aircraft in the air from Hunter-Liggest Airfield: the OV-10 that he and his co-pilot Danielle were flying, along with what seemed to Thomas like a rather pleasant surprise..... "Hey, Kevin, is that you down there?" Thomas called out over the radio as he watched a P-40 Warhawk (another one of the aircraft they'd spent time, sweat and blood refurbishing) join them in the air.
"You damn right it is," their friend, a former repo man and pilot in his own right, replied, adding, "Someone told me you might be needing some help down south...what's the dope?"
"We're heading south to help some people from San Simeon on a rescue mission," Thomas said as the two aircraft banked slightly further to the south; after a few seconds, the two aircraft were wings level. "A helicopter of theirs' crashed near some mansion and they've got casualties; the San Simeon aircraft is going to pick the survivors up; I told their leader...," pausing to look at a scrap of paper his co-pilot had given him earlier, "a Sarah Lyell-Haru, that we'd provide cover for them to make pickup."
"In other words, a good first test for the Flying Doctors then, huh?" Thomas quipped; after a few seconds, he continued. "Alright, I think we're just about there, fellas'; Kevin, I want you to take off and make a fast pass east to west, out towards the coast; let me know what you see down there. Meanwhile, Danielle and I will begin circling the area from above; priority is to find a suitable landing spot for that Skyvan to land at. Thomas out."
Switching frequencies, Thomas spoke once more. "Skyvan, Skyvan, this is Bronco approaching northwest to southeast; how copy, over?"

"Skyvan, Skyvan, this is Bronco approaching northwest to southeast; how copy, over?"
Keying her radio mic, Tegan spoke. "Copy, Bronco; this is Skyvan, approaching opposite your direction. What are you carrying and how long can you stay up?" she asked the Bronco pilot, wanting to know more about them and who they were.
"We've got fuel to burn and smoke rockets onboard," Thomas replied, adding, "Be advised; we have a second aircraft in the area, a P-40 Warhawk and she is loaded, over." That caused Tegan and Clancy to do a collective double-take; it was one thing to have an aircraft, another entirely to have multiple aircraft, something the world hadn't seen in several years.. "Looks like we've got company, Clancy," Tegan said as the blonde put the Skyvan into a shallow dive, the ground looking more and more ominous from their position.
Looking around, Tegan thought for a moment she'd seen the Warhawk...then, it cut across the Skyvan's path a ways ahead, making its' east-to-west pass as Bronco had told them earlier. "Bronco, this is Skyvan; Warhawk just passed us three-to-nine o'clock," she said, "heading to the coast." Listening to the radio traffic between the Bronco and the Warhawk, Tegan had a pretty keen sense of where their resident Viking was at. "Clancy, bank toward the coast and then turn....bingo, got it!"
Keying her mic once more, Tegan said, "That large mansion just west of the highway, Bronco, is that the target, over?" all the while thinking to herself, Hang on, Kern...

When Mercy and the man called Wolverine were told to hold onto something, she placed her medical bag at her feet and clutched in between her feet so that it wasn't rolling and a sliding everywhere. Putting her hands up on the roof, she watched as the plane was dipped forward and was aiming towards the ground. It was gaining the needed speed and that's when Tamara and Clancy spotted the old war plane, a p-40 Warhawk flying towards the coast. Turning her own head to watch it, she saw the rising of green smoke. Pointing to it.
"We got green at the large mansion is tha-....Great Spirit...you can see parts of the helicopter from here." She said outloud. The plane evened itself out thanks to Clancy's good flying skills and was flying towards they're destination. The sight of the wreck was indeed see able, what was left of it. Parts of the helicopter laid across a massive yard which included it's tail, it's top Rotor and chunks of steel. The main part of the helicopter was sticking in the side of the Mansion.

Following the direction where Mercy was pointing towards, Tegan saw the green smoke, the helicopter wreckage, the mansion inn question...and a lot of walkers. "Christ, there's a shitstorm of walkers down there," Tegan said quietly as she looked down at the area; switching frequencies, she called out to the other aircraft. "Bronco, this is Skyvan; on his next pass, can you have Warhawk start unloading on the walkers. We need to clear them from around the area while not tearing up the highway we're going to land on," pausing to point at the highway. Cupping the mic away from her mouth, Tegan said, "Clancy, as soon as he clears the area, I want you to set the Skyvan down and pop the hatch; keep the engines running but if things get too hot..."
"Get up in the air; I got it," Clancy replied; as she began to maneuver the aircraft towards the highway for landing, Tegan turned to look at the others and said, "Alright, we're getting ready to land; if everything goes right, we go in, grab Kern and get out," adding with a bit of gallows humor, "Oh, and Clancy says to make sure your seats and tray-tables are in their locked and upright positions'...."

Michelle had been walking for a week with a few stops here and there. She was tired. She wanted to stop and rest again, but she decided to keep pushing even though her feet were telling her to stop. She walked a few more miles, and took a pause in her walking. She looked around and noticed a building off to the right side. Before she took another step she took her backpack off of her back, and set it on the ground. She then sat on the ground, and unzipped her backpack. She pulled out an empty bottle hoping that their would still be some water left in there, but no more water was left in the bottle. "Damn it" she said to herself as she searched her backpack some more hoping to find something to quench her thirst. After digging through her pack and finding nothing she zipped her pack up, and stood up. She grabbed her pack, and then looked to the building once more.
She got to the entrance, and looked around. "Anyone here?" she called out. She hadn't seen anyone in a long while, and she was hoping that their would be some people here. "Hello!?"

Hearing someone speaking to him from nearby, Bam turned and was about to reply when one of the Scouts called out to them, "Bam, there's someone at the front gate." For a moment, Bam tensed up, thinking that the battle was now at hand....instead, he calmed back down, figuring that if it had been someone hostile, they'd have heard gunfire rather than someone's voice.
Looking over at the older gentleman, Bam said, "First, you're not a third wheel, sir. This day and age, no one can afford to be one. Second...you sound like a very good voice of reason and we can use that; I know that's what Tegan would say and if her sister Sarah's the same way, that's what she would likely say as well." Pointing towards the gate, he added, "Let's go see who our mystery guest is, shall we?"

As he awaited Bam to say something back, a scout came rushing up. Giving off word that they had someone at the gate. It was safe to say that this person wasn't with the other group since the other group would have preemptively just do the one thing that all nations did After the calm of the storm, Started a blood bath. His attention was brought back to the here and now by Bam as he spoke to Alexander. Turning his head to look at the younger man, he listened to him.

Pointing towards the gate, he added, "Let's go see who our mystery guest is, shall we?"
Nodding his head, he would still have that friendly warm smile on his face. Speaking again, he sounded like a grandfather like figure. "Why thank you, Bam. But please, don't call me Sir. You'll remind me of how old I am. Either call me Alex, Alexander or Virgil. As for the guest, I would agree with you on that. Let's go down to the gate and give them a warm welcome to the group. If they are like how I was, then it would be a some what good setting for them to relax and unwhine a bit from they're journey." Keeping his 12 gauge in his hands, they both would walk down to the gate with the scout from before to where he saw a nicely dressed woman with a pack over her shoulders. Smiling at the unknown woman, Alexander would speak up to her and introduce himself. "Hello Miss. I am Dr. Alexander Pepper. Such lovely weather we are having, isn't it?"
Post by Michelle Wright on Feb 11, 2017 23:20:31 GMT -5
After calling out for anyone who could possibly hear her she looked around. She then noticed a few men walking towards. She kept her back on her shoulders, and stood still as they got closer to her. Michelle looked to Dr. Alexander Pepper as he began to introduce himself to her. She then responded to his introduction "Hello Dr. Pepper. My name is Michelle Wright." After introducing herself she looked up at the sky and nodded. "Yes, the weather is lovely" she said as she smiled a little. She then took the pack off of her shoulders and set them on the ground. "I have been traveling for awhile now, and I am tired and hungry" she said as she looked to both of the men.
"Do you two stay here?" she asked as she leaned up against the wall.

Both Mercy and Tamara looked at the horrors that awaited them down below in front of the mansion. Sighing to herself, she then lifted her head a bit and tilted it towards Tamara as she listened to what both the Co-Pilot and Pilot were saying. Without a head set, it was kinda hard to make out. But she did pick up on if it had gotten to hot for Clancy, with Clancy finishing the sentence of Tamara.
"Bronco, this is Skyvan; on his next pass, can you have Warhawk start unloading on the walkers. We need to clear them from around the area while not tearing up the highway we're going to land on," pausing to point at the highway. Smiling a bit as she looked at Tamara, she would say to her as they approached the highway and was lining up to touch down. The joke didn't fall deaf on her ears. "I still get the double points to my rewards card, right? I do have Capital Blue One. But with all joking aside, I am ready whenever you guys are...and once this one next to me stops crapping himself that is." The man code named 'Wolverine' looked at her and then looked at Tamara, saying to her. "This is why I don't like airplanes boss. You can give me a chopper any day of the week. Don't care if I'm toilet duty...well, On second thought...not when McGehey blows up the throne. Then you can give that duty to Preacher Man." With a keep once over his gear, the man with the Machinegun was ready for combat.

"Bronco, this is Skyvan; on his next pass, can you have Warhawk start unloading on the walkers. We need to clear them from around the area while not tearing up the highway we're going to land on," Thomas heard the Skyvan call out to them; keying his mic, he replied, "Copy that, Skyvan, wilco." Switching frequencies, he continued. "Warhawk, this is Bronco; drop down and plow the road."
"Wilco, heading down," Kevin, who was flying the P-40E Warhawk, said, banking and heading down with a head of steam...seconds later, Thomas watched as the steel rain from the Warhawk's guns blazed across the area; several times, the aircraft made its' passes, lighting up the ground and making it look like rain from above...but Thomas and Danielle, who was watching from the Bronco's rear seat, both knew it wasn't rain being unleashed on the horde of walkers below. As the Warhawk made one more pass, Thomas keyed his mic again. "What's it look like, Kevin?"
"Whoever's in that mansion should be alright for the time being...and whoever's in that ugly-as-sin puddlejumper should be good to land now," he replied, turning to head back up as if worried the walkers would turn and shoot at him. Chuckling at Kevin's description of the short-haul puddlejumper, Thomas switched frequencies once more and said, "Okay, Skyvan, you're clear to land; we'll stay on-station for you...good luck."

Watching the action from above as they descended through the California sky, Tegan almost felt sorry for the walkers surrounding the mansion down below...then she remembered who was inside the mansion and thought, Sucks to be a walker today in the Golden State.
Turning to look at the passengers, she heard both Mercy and Wolverine's quips and said to them, "You ain't the only one, Wolverine...and I'm pretty sure you'll get the points on that card, Mercy," pausing to add, "Of course, the way things are, I doubt they're giving them out, but still..." Before she could continue, Clancy said, "Alright, everyone, we're on final."
Looking out through the cockpit window, Tegan gripped the controls and watched as the Pacific Coast Highway, rose to meet them below; closing her eyes for a moment, she whispered, Please let this motherfuckin' aircraft land so that we can get our muthafuckin' brother-in-arms and rescue him before he prematurely heads off to Valhalla..., adding as the squeal of tires hitting pavement filled the aircraft interior, because, Lord, if you send him to Valhalla before you send me to Fiddlers' Green, I'm going to be royally pissed at you, understood? all the while keeping a firm grip on the controls as they Skyvan slowly....slowly, came to a stop within running distance of the mansion....

Nodding his head in agreement, Bam replied, "Sounds like a winner, s--," pausing as he corrected himself, "sounds like a winner, Alexander," adding, "And please call me Brandon; as much as I like Bam, it reminds me of when I was a stuntman and performer back in the old days and as we've all seen, these ain't the old days." Walking over to the front gate, Bam could see that two of his fellow Scouts - Knoxville and Steve-O - were standing next to a woman who'd walked up to the gate; hearing her question, Bam spoke to her in a calm, concise - and unusual for him, wise - voice... "Yes, we're part of a larger group that calls San Simeon home, ma'am," Bam said; giving her a polite but studious once-over, he added, "If you'll come with us, we'll get you checked out and cleared to enter."

(Multiple Character Post)
Jason Kern
Limping his way back into the bedroom he was in before, he slammed the door behind him. Locking it first, he looked around and saw a heavy dresser by the door. Going over to one side, he began to push it with what strength he had left. It slid to the door and was now sitting at as a make shift barricade. It will hold out for a while, but not forever. Moving on over to the window, he watched as the dead moved in closer to the mansion. Sighing to himself, he grabbed a chair from a beauty station and sat down with the barrel of the rifle resting on the window seal. Aiming, he began to fire single shots at the targets down below. With each body hitting the ground, he was keeping a running tally of how many he was killing so far.
It was an old trick he picked up along the way to keep tabs on how much ammo he was spending on killing these things. But his shooting was cut off when he heard the sounds of engines. Looking around, he was confused until he heard the roars of two airplanes making they're way to the mansion. As he looked up at the sky, he saw and heard the roar of machine guns, making a path way as walkers on the ground were just shredded by what looked to be an old American fighter plane. Smiling, he yanked his hat off of his head and waved it about out of the window on the top floor of the mansion. His eyes then fell on the Sky van that flew behind a good distance from the Warhawk. Raising an eyebrow, he knew who was inside that plane. Sitting back down in the chair, he began to fire more of his rifle off as he heard the roar of the machine guns again, but this time, it was at the highway west of him. "Leave it to Tamara to bring in the Air force." But the one sound he didn't want to hear yet just happened. Turning his head, he saw the wooden door that was keeping him safe was starting to break and splinter apart as the hands of the dead were reaching for him. Pulling out his Glock, he began to open fire with the loud, heavy hitting .357 rounds.
Mercy
Reaching down, she picked up her Medical bag. Putting both her arms through the loops of the bag, she now carried it like a back pack on her back. It was amazing to watch the old warplane in action as it's lined up machine guns in the wings tore into everything that it's barrels fell upon. Body parts, limbs, and even blood spray went everywhere as it unleashed it's roaring justice upon they're sinful bodies. But her attention was snapped back to reality when the tires of the Skyvan landed on the asphalt of the Highway until they came to a full stop. Nodding at Wolverine who was already a couple of steps a head of Mercy, he opened the side door and piled out of it and made a big scene as a joke. "Laaaand!" On his knees, he would kiss the ground before standing up and rushing over to a wrecked cop car and took firing position.
Mercy didn't say anything about what she just witnessed. It took her a few moments to recover from being struck by stupidity of what the Army man just did. Jumping out of the plane, she rushed over to where Wolverine was and knelt down next to the car. Peeking inside, she saw there was still a shotgun inside of it. Reaching in, she grasped the shotgun and pulled on it a few times before it broke free from it's resting spot. Pulling back on the slide, she looked in it and saw it was loaded. On the stock of the weapon was a sleeve that carried an additional five shells. "Seems that barely anyone has touched these cars in a long time...might be some good pickings if we have the time to check them out later on." Mercy said as she had a good drip on the shotgun, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. But her gaze kept falling towards the Mansion, east of them. It's court yard had bodies scattered about from the warhawk's pass, but what it killed was only replaced by more numbers.

As everyone climbed out of the Skyvan, Tegan got her bearings straight - like Wolverine, she wasn't too enamored of fixed-wing aircraft - and motioned for everyone to begin spreading out, both to cover more ground as they approached the mansion but also so that they could watch a larger area. Everywhere she looked, she could see the broken, shattered and torn bodies of walkers, evidence of the Warhawk's deadly runs; looking up for a moment, she could see both it and the Bronco flying overhead, while on her hip the radio played out a steady back-and-forth between them and her party on the ground.
Maneuvering her way around, she ran between stopped and wrecked vehicles, peeking inside each of them as she went along, taking down walkers one and two at-a-time with controlled bursts from her rifle; to her side, another member of the rescue party was doing the same thing as well..on and on they went along, hoping they could find a back entrance to the mansion so that they could get in, grab the Viking and get out alive...then, off to her right, well away from the walkers whose attention was squarely on the mansion, the man yelled, "Boss!" the sound of his voice a mix of horror, shock and surprise.
Running over to join him to see what was he yelling about, Tegan looked...and for an imperceptible moment, thought to herself, Oh, hell no, that can't be...switching weapons, she drew her pistol and took tentative steps towards what looked like the body of a young woman with long, blonde hair--"Julie!" Tegan yelled, abandoning her slow, cautious approach and rushing over, thinking, Tell me that ain't her...oh dear Lord, tell me that ain't her....
Unfortunately, as she knelt down next to the body, she found to her horror that it was her wife Julie, a bullet hole slightly above the right temple, a look of almost bemused shock and fright creasing her face...tears began creasing their way down Tegan's face as she knelt down and almost haphazardly began pulling Julie's lifeless form towards her, her fellow Scout standing several feet back keeping an eye on everything around them in case they had to run. After some effort - and some tearful wails and cries - Tegan finally dragged Julie's upper body on top of her sitting form and began brushing the stray hairs away from her late wife's face, trying not to break down right there. "I never got you those margaritas, Peach," Tegan whispered to her, softly brushing her face, the tears flowing freely now. "I never got you those margaritas...when we get back to San Simeon, I'll get them for you, I promise you that..." When her fellow Scout mentioned that they needed to re-join the others, it was all Tegan could do to not shoot the man right there where he stood; instead, she said to him - after she'd regained some semblance of composure - "Help me carry her back to those line of vehicles we saw, alright? That's an order..."

While Tamara and another scout moved up on one side, Mercy and Wolverine ran on the other side. Rushing as fast as they could, they were getting close to the mansion when all of a sudden, the scout with Tamara called out to the leader causing them all to stop. They're eyes followed Tamara and saw what was the matter. Mercy lowered her shotgun and had horror on her face. Slowly moving towards Tamara, not knowing what to say. Sorrow filled her as she went to a knee beside Tamara, looking at the lifeless body of Julie. Remembering how they just returned from the Medical run. Mercy moved a hand to Tamara's one shoulder as she didn't know what to say to her. When her fellow Scout mentioned that they needed to re-join the others, it was all Tegan could do to not shoot the man right there where he stood; instead, she said to him - after she'd regained some semblance of composure - "Help me carry her back to those line of vehicles we saw, alright? That's an order..."
Looking at Tamara and then at the man, Mercy would pipe in. "Tamara...we will need the guys to hold back whatever walkers there are around us and probably carry Jason. I'll help you carry Julie back. I know your sad and heart broken. But we also need to think about the pilot...the reason why we flew out this far for. The one that is in that mansion right there." Standing up, Mercy picked up the one side of the dead weight Julie around her shoulders. Having Julie's left arm wrapped around Mercy's shoulders, Mercy had her right arm wrapped around Julie's waist as she would help carry her to the line of cars. "Wolverine was it? Get us inside that Mansion and clear it out. We need to get Jason out like...Yesterday."
The army ranger with the Machine gun watched as Mercy was giving out orders to him and saw how Tamara was taking everything. Nodding his head, he stood up and ran to the side of the mansion. He made his way around to where he saw two glass doors, but when he looked inside, he saw a massive group of walkers inside. So the sounds of his machine gun ripping out at a fast pace fire rate was heard. Tears ran down Mercy's face as she carried Tamara's now former wife to a spot where they can get to her on the way back from getting Jason. Setting her down beside a truck, Mercy knelt there looking at the asphalt at her bloody hands. Something she had heard many times while growing up came to the surface of her mind, and she began to say it out loud.
"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home."
Her blood shot eyes looked over at Tamara who was close by to her. Reaching a hand to her's, she would say to her as they're hands were embracing each other. More tears began to slide down her face as her voice began to crack from seeing and feeling the sadness. "Oh, Great Spirit Whose voice I hear in the winds, And whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me, I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy - myself. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes. So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my Spirit may come to you without shame."

Sitting on the ground, cradling Julie's body as she sat there, Tegan's mind thought back to all the times they'd shared together - the first time they'd met back in new York, to their first time together, to being at her side for Tyler's birth - the moments they'd shared filled her mind with a tinge of happy yet bitter memories: happy for the times they'd shared, bitter for the loss she was now feeling.... Tamara...we will need the guys to hold back whatever walkers there are around us and probably carry Jason.
After a few moments to gently brush her hand over Julie's eyes, closing the eyelids over them, Tegan leaned over and gave her one last kiss on the forehead before getting to her feet helping Mercy and the others carry Julie's lifeless form over to where the line of cars were; as they brought her over, another Scout joined them. Pointing to him, Tegan said, "Go back to the Skyvan and grab a stretcher; bring it out and set Julie's body on it. I'll not leave her out her, understood?" Without waiting the Scout ran back to the Skyvan; as he ran back there, Tegan looked over at Mercy, who'd joined them and had helped her carry Julie back over to the cars....tears were streaming down her face as well; as she reached out her hand to comfort her, Tegan grasped it and held fast to it as Mercy began speaking softly words of comfort and solace.
As she listened, Tegan felt a sense of calmness, the tears drying up as they knelt down behind the cars...Mercy's words also reminded her that, come the next life, they'd run into each other again...seeing the Scout running back towards them, stretcher in hand, Tegan brushed away a stray hair that'd somehow flopped its' way over Julie's face and whispered to her in a soft, haunting and sometimes breaking voice a piece of Irish wisdom passed down from one generation of Irish to the next and the next.... "May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, Peach, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."
Looking over at both Mercy and the two Scouts nearby, Tegan got up, at first with a little unsteadiness but with more and more steel; looking over, she wiped her face dry and made sure her weapons were at the ready. "Let's go get Kern out of there, then let's go back home, everyone...."

Drying her face with the back of her hands, Mercy stood up and brought the Shotgun into her hands as Tamara gave the order to get Kern back from the mansion and to get the hell out of dodge. Listening carefully, she can hear the steady firing of the machine gun that Wolverine had. Looking towards the mansion, she could see bullets shredding through from the back of the mansion and was blasting out the front into the walkers that were stumbling around. Raising an eyebrow, she would run towards the side and into the back of the building where Wolverine was standing at. The bag from the machine gun fell to the ground as he brought the other bag of ammo to his gun to reload it as fast as he could. Mercy would rush up to the side of what was left of the doors and the frame -Which was now a massive hole that was now eating into the walls- brought the shotgun up and started to blast those things that were approaching them.
Moving in, she would pump the 12 gauge and fire at the heads of the closest grouping. As she kept up the fire support, she saw a trail of bullet casings going up a staircase next to her and when she looked up the stairs, she saw more of the dead followed by yelling and cursing coming from up there. Click Her eyes went wide when she realized that the undead was moving towards her as she began to fumble a bit to feed the shotgun more shells as she backed up into a wall. When the last shell was slid in, she saw one of them reach out to her and grabbed a hold of her shoulders. Bringing her shotgun up, she placed the barrel into it's mouth as it tried to take a bite from her. Pushing it as best as she could, she slid the pump down and back up. Pulling the trigger, the back of the walkers head exploded in a mist of blood and chunks flying backwards.
It's body fell down to the ground. Turning her attention to back up the staircase, she would bolt up them. Every now and then, she would take up a firing stance and fire a shell off. But the time she was at the top, she was already out of ammo. With the shotgun in hand, she rushed up ahead, ramming the barrel of the gun in through the head of a walker and slamming it's body into the wall, causing it to be stuck and now fully dead. Pulling out the P380 and her Obsidian knife, she would move up as she was now starting to get more back up as Wolverine began to open fire again, but this time in bursts of six. Blasting her rounds carefully with each aim to make the living dead count one less then what it was originally. The near black brown eyes fell on a door that was nearly destroyed, yet it was being held back by a dresser and some sort of weight on the other side. Pointing, she would say. "Over there! He's in that room!" Doing so, it caused what was left of the walker's Attention to focus on the group. Swapping clips as fast as she could, she slammed in the fresh clip and found herself looking at the teeth of a walker. Taking her knife, she would plant the stone blade into it's head and kicking it back into what was left of those advancing. This caused a good bit of time. Aiming, she began to unload her clip into those that were left. Not caring of what was still remaining, she rushed up ahead of the rest in a panic sprint towards the broken door. Shouldering a walker over the railing, she would then climb through the remains of the door and over the dresser. Stepping down, she would see the man that Tamara wanted back badly. Jason. He was hunched against the dresser with his trench knife in hand. Taking the medical bag off, she would set it down.
Placing a hand on him, it jolted him awake and brought the knife to her. Holding his hands with her's, she slipped backwards and he was now on top of her. "You damn things never die! Just stay down for once and don't come back up!" He shouted, with spit flying off. He was in a daze, not knowing what all was going on. Her eyes watched as the knife slowly, painfully slowly advanced down towards her. Trying to kick her medical bag over, she would try and then reach it with a hand to try and get a syringe that still had some morphine in it. Everyone outside of the door would hear Mercy yelling. "HELP! Jason went A wall!"
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
