Quinn had to leave…It wasn’t that she didn’t love Lawrence, because she did. But it was more that there was just something inside of her that made her bash against the walls like a caged beast. She couldn’t stay there….she couldn’t pretend to be someone she wasn’t. Quinn didn’t want routine. She didn’t want to wake up in the same bed with the same guy for the rest of her life. She didn’t want another pregnancy scare. She wanted out. This time when she left she had placed Lawrence’s fedora on the bed. A symbol of sorts that this time he shouldn’t look for her….that this time she didn’t want to be found.
With things including her bow and arrows Quinn ‘borrowed’ a truck to go on a run. However she never expected to be caught at the gate by one of the other scouts. Her heart leapt into her throat…well shit…looks like she would be coming back after all. But as the drive progressed Quinn came to find out that the woman was Dana…and she was also leaving for good.
Months passed. The women got along well, even being quite cruel to one another at times. But it was just how they were….And it felt nice to stretch her wings again without bashing into the bars of a gilded cage. They drove…and camped…and drove…and scavenged…and drove some more. But it was when they happened upon a run down bar that looked like it had seen some wild days that the women hesitated. Quinn was standing there with her bow slung over her shoulder. Wearing a warm jacket and jeans to fight off the cold. Her arm still hurt from time to time…but it was back to ‘her’ normal again….And it was nice to shoot her bow without her muscle twitching.
She looked up at the sign on the bar with a smirk before she looked over at Dana. “…..you thinkin what I’m thinkin?.....”
