A couple of hours had went by since they both fell asleep. Jenna's eyes fluttered open and looked around. Darkness had still been across the land with the help of the full moon. Slowly and gently looking up, she saw Dana was still asleep. Gently sliding away from her so she didn't wake her new lover up. Jenna walked across the room and picked up and slid on her shirt. Putting on her underwear as well. Stepping to the balcony, she looked across the land. Fear was on her face. They felt good being here, but something was chewing up inside of her. Her arms folded on the hand rails, she leaned herself down and rested her head on her forearms. Thoughts of this place being safe was a good feeling, but she knew like everyone else that it didn't mean it was truly safe. Many other places they went to or stumbled across became attacked by the dead, outsiders looking for loot or some places were totally taken over by the dead and left nothing but the silent reminders that everything wasn't truly safe. With her eyes half way closed, she looked at the pool at the ground. The imagination began to play into her worries as she began to see dead bodies everywhere. One of them, she wished she didn't see was Dana. Her half eaten and shot up corpse laid on the ground just below her. Tears began to well up as she slowly backed away from seeing it. Shaking her head for a few moments, she felt the pain from her injury slam her like a ton of bricks.
Reaching out for the door, she slid down it as she placed her other hand on the injury. It was hot and pulsing in her touch. As she tried to say something, she could say a word or make a sound. Forcing herself up to her feet, she didn't want to wake her lover up. Dana had been worried sick about her, so the least she could do now was rest. When her blue eyes fell on her, she felt her heart fluttering as it picked up again. It was as if she just met her back at the Hive. One of her tears slid down her face as she leaned against the frame of the balcony door. She looked peaceful while she actually did sleep. Walking back inside, she stopped as she looked back outside at the landscape. Looking at it made her want to play the guitar badly. To strum the strings with her singers or pick. To let her voice sing of a time of better times and of hopeful futures. Going back to the bed, she sat at the corner of it. The urge came out of her as she began to sing.
"Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes, I see my future in an instant
And there it goes,
I think I found my best friend
I know that it might sound
More than a little crazy
But I believe
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes, I see
The missing pieces I'm searching for
I think I've found my way home
I know that it might sound
More than a little crazy
But I believe
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life"
