If there was one thing she knew about Henry it was that he was a tough son of a bitch. He may be a bit older and he may not be as fast as he once was, but there was no denying he was tough. The world kept kicking him around and he always found a way to give the world the finger and find his way back to Ali. Ali had been sure that he was dead. In a moment of lonliness, depression and a general surrendering of her inhibitions she had kissed Jenna. A kiss, nothing more nothing less. It was followed by several more kisses, but it had stopped there. Ali hadn't seen Jenna since that day. Well, she had seen her around but she hadn't spoken much to her. She seemed to be hurt over it, though Ali couldn't understand why. It was just a kiss after all and between strangers now less. Ali laid her head on her husband's chest. They had caught a ride in the back on one of the tundra's on the way up to this place and now as they stood outside the mansion with Ali's head on Henry's chest she wondered if she should tell him about it, would he be mad? Would he be hurt. Afte all she thought he was dead. She should have known better though to count her husband out of anything. He was unstoppable. He would drop heaven from the sky just to find her and find her he did. Ali looked up at the house. She like everyone else had chosen a room to be their own and thrown her stuff down on the floor before sitting on the edge of the bed. She looked at her husband who was looking back at her. Would he really care? She thought. In fact in this moment that was all she could think about. Shit like that didn't matter anymore Or at least she didn't think so it was about surviving and having people you trust help you survive. But what happens if that trust is broken? How far were you willing to compromise your believes for those that you love in this strange new world. She knew she didn't want to face it alone so for the moment she told him nothing. She only smiled even though she felt awful inside and ran her hands up and down his chest.
Ali: This place sure beats seating in a treehouse in the middle of the forrest.
