Owen watched Amarie turn the corner. He took a second to look over the trailer, it was a decent size, not to big or to squished. It would be good for a person or two. Daisy could make it her home, or Damon or Luca. Hell if Damon was find with a couch as he had been sleeping on, there wouldn't be plenty of room. They'd still need two more. Daisy could find one, and he knew another one to take. The owner had his trailer always ready to move, and it was light and compact, perfect for the small truck they came in.
As he cranked up the jack he took a second to stop and let the feeling of how much this place changed sink in. At one point there had been families here. Kids like Daisy and him hadn't been ran up and down playing. There was fighting, and people arguing, the slam of a trailer door as someone stormed out. Music blaring and dogs barking. But now it was silent, eerie.
He was lost in thought, and didn't notice the sound of a walker coming near. As Amarie said to get out of the way and move he did. He rolled out of the way as the Walker lunged for him, its arm snagged his shirt but Amarie was on it. He saw the blood splatter Andrew gore hit hisboots she he stood up, shaking it off.
"Thanks, I owe you one," he said a small he whipped his hands off on his shirt. He looked at the gore covered hitch he'd only have to lower it once the truck was in place. "Could have been worse splatter coming from you if you didn't get the sewer unhooked properly. Way worse." He grinned, "you unhook the power and water too?"
Owen moved over toward the door, and got down where the wheel was. He tore the wheel cover off and tossed it aside. It was there to hide the wheel, and looked more permanent. He then began to kick out the wedge that stopped the wheel from rolling. It was a small plastic piece that when he broke free he tossed it in the back of the truck to use later.
"Three more wheels to go. As you get the power and water, I'll get the wheels," he moved over to the other one and began to tear the cover off and remove the stoper. He made short work of the the other two and made his way back to the truck. Once there he looked at Amarie. "You want to back it up? Or tell me when I'm lined up? Either you drive or I will, and yell stop when it's there to lower the hitch."
