Julie awoke to find Tyler lying sleeping in a crib. Where..... Where did that come from? There was a little stuffed animal nearby dressed like a pilot. Julie smiled thinking about Tegan and surely that must have been her who put that there. She could think of no one else. She didn't really hear anything about them going on a baby run, she had been so busy herself and so exhausted, but she she saw Kern next she'd be sure to tell him thank you. It was surely his doing putting this together. He'd been by her sid gaurding her and Tyler virtually every minute since he came into this world and she had to remember to thank him for that as well. Even if it was totally not needed. Though she was glad he was there when Buster barged into her room. She wasn't scared for herself, but she did feel helpless. At the time, with her recent c-section she would have been in no shape to stop anyone from harming her baby had that been what he wanted.
Julie: i gotta get outta this room or ima go bonkers!
Julie leaned foward and grunted as she tried to sit up. It was harder than she expected. She was still pretty tender, but it was no where near as bad as it had been. She finally, with some effort; was able to get herself outta bed. She balanced herself by placing fingertips on the nightstand beside the bed. After managing to slip on some gray jogging pants and a clean, light shirt; She took a step forward and her legs felt a little rubbery since it'd been a good bit since she's used them. She was done with bed pans and bed rest. Bed rest be damed she was getting out for some air. She saw some more stuff for the baby and her eyes fell on the baby backpack... A big smile washed over her face. She found her gun lying on the table and slipped it into her holster before pulling on the baby backpack and adjusting it so it felt snug, but not constricting. Beside the desk and a pile of baby stuff was cane. Grabbing it she made he way over to Tyler who looked just so prescious sleeping there. she almost wanted to let him sleep, but she knew if she tried to leave without him, she'd get only a few feet without rushing back to scoop him up, she couldn't stand the thought of leaving him so she gently scooped him from his crib and carefuly got him into the baby backpack. It was adjusted perfectly, and the commotion woke Tyler for a moment, but he yawned and fell back asleep on her chest. His tiny fingers curling into tiny fists. Tyler was as exhausted as Julie. Still using the cane. Julie walked out of the room, slow and steady. She took it one step at a time. Her body ached from atrophy and the c-section, and the fact that she's only sleep hardly at all since the baby was born. He wasn't a fussy child persay he did stay awake alot though. And though he wasn't crying, Julie refused to sleep when she knew he was awake. She felt like a bad mother if she did that. So Julie let Tegan sleep and she stayed awake with Tyler quietly singing to him, and telling him how he would change the world some day. It was something she firmly believed.
Julie: Come on lil fella we're gone get some air.
After making her way downstairs and to the door, she noticed a few scouts looking at her surprised to see her up and about, but doctor never ordered her to stay in bed and she wanted to see the sun. She was tired of the depressing gray walls and the lonlely upstairs bedroom... She opened the door. The sunshine was brilliant and the warmth on her face made her smile. The wind caught her blonde locks blowing them over her shoulder, the breeze was gentle and welcomed. She leaned down and kissed the top of Tyler's head and whispered.
Julie: Finally, the outside world gets to meetcha honey.... Don't get used to paradise..... It gets harder out here, but when you have family..... *Julie tooked to see if his eyes were open, they were now* And you'll always have family son honey; *Julie said staring right at him* It gets a little easier too...
Julie stepped out into the warm sunshine to stretch her legs a bit and explore.
