Standing on the rooftop perch overlooking the Hampton, Joseph thought about the past few days and everything that had happened, while down below, he could see the occasional walker shambling about down on the streets below. Drinking some coffee as he stood there, he looked around and saw a couple others from the group and thought, I really need to check on Nick and on those survivors from earlier, kneeling down to pick up his radio as he continued to watch the area around the hotel.
"Kara, this is Joseph. Can you come up and spell me a bit so that I can check on Nick, make the rounds of the hotel," he said, affixing the radio to his belt and thinking, what would I do without her? continuing to look out across the area, letting his mind wander as he watched the area....

Dean was still on the very same spot, where he was a couple days ago. Right beside Nick, guarding over him, watching over him, he would let no one pass. The past days had been rough, pulling Nick through, helping him to mentally deal with his injuries. But nothing was too hard for Dean, he was there for Nick and he wouldn’t let his boyfriend slip into a dark hole. He would do everything in his power to keep him as far as possible from giving up. As always their love would be strong enough to overcome this.
Dean couldn’t quite describe their love, he loved his previous boyfriend, but what he shared with Nick was special, he didn’t experience love on this level. Dean would never speak bad about his previous lover, Michael, but Nick just had a place in his heart, that no one had been able to reach before. Many people didn’t survive the apocalypse, but they both survived and made sure their love for each other did too, it was something unique. This was why Dean asked himself the past days, if he was ready to ask Nick something, that would bond them forever. But he had doubts about the timing, Nick was far from fully recovered and everyone was still a bit on edge. So poor Dean couldn’t make up his mind.
But Dean kept thinking, as he did every morning. He decided to put a mattress next to Nick his bed, since Joseph said it wouldn’t be wise to move him around. Since Dean wasn’t about to leave nick alone, he decided to sleep next to him on a mattress. He was close, there to protect him, to take care of him, to comfort him, Dean needed to be close by.
His eyes where open as he once more thought about asking the big question. Nick was still sleeping but he was wide awake. He could hear Nick slowly waking up, well at least he heard movement in the bed. Dean pushed his thought away and slowly got up and stood beside the bed, waiting for Nick to open his eyes. As he saw the wounds and the bandages, he felt guilty, he couldn’t protect Nicky. The memories of the recent events where still fresh and it would take more than just a couple days to slowly forget them.

Nickiah had been on a path of slow recovery. His injuries during his time with sir asshole still remained and hurt. Nicky had peace in mind that Joseph was trying everything in his power to help. As he should concidering what only Nick could imagine what Dean would do to him if he failed. Most likely death or harm if any unfornunate slip up medically were brought onto him by accident. Nickiah had faith in the good doctor.
The young man had a habit of moving around in his sleep. It wasnt the best thing to do when parts of ones body were hurting. Nick's good hand squeezed the sheets he could grasp inti his hand befor a yawn rolled out. His now one dark brow eyes opened up to see Dean standing beside his bed. A smile formed on his face before the words came out. "Good morning my beautiful stalker. You know taking a picture will last longer?" He winked with his one eye. Nick noticed the lack of a usual tent in his loves pants noted to ask. "Dean you lack the usual morning wood... You have been up for a while havent you?" He asked
His further questions were halted by the emnarrasing request he had to make. The injury left by that evil fucker may have caused the loss of that eye but it felt even more painful asking for help. Especially from Dean.. Nickiah had no idea why it was so hard for him to accept that he needed help sometimes. "Euhm.. Babe can you help clean my eye." He requested bashfully. Nick had watched Joseph show Dean how to do it and it still didnt help Nick feel less helpless and he hated that feeling. However he did appreciated how much Dean cared that he wouldn't leave his side.
"You know once Im all healed up were going to have to make uo for lost time." Nickiah said light heartedly trying to avoid thinking of Dean cleaning his eye. His dark eyebrows wiggled a little as he hinted jokingly toward what he obviously meant in the previous statement. "You have no idea how i love you Dean." He said feeling that warm fuzzy feeling Dean caused in his heart whenever they were together
Opening her eyes, Kara sat up in bed and looked around; she could see the empty space where Joseph had slept next to her, feel the lingering warmth from where he'd slept. Another beautiful day in Tennessee, she thought, sitting on the edge of the bed and yawning, rolling her head around to try and wake herself up. Time to get up, she whispered to herself, sliding off the bed and walking towards the bathroom to shower off a little. Just as she did, her radio went off back near the bed... "Kara, this is Joseph. Can you come up and spell me a bit so that I can check on Nick, make the rounds of the hotel."
It was Joseph, calling from the rooftop where he normally kept watch on the area around the hotel. Ahh, dammit, Kara growled, walking over and picking up the radio. "I'll be right up, Joe; see you in a bit," she said, setting the radio down and opting to just go ahead and get dresses in her usual attire - sheriff's uniform shirt, jeans, boots, sidearm on her hip - her usual daily post-apocalyptic attire. Once dressed, she made sure she had everything, including her radio, and headed outside to face another long day at the Hampton...

Rizzo sat up in bed after a brief nap, her eyes bleary lightly from such before she stood up with a stretch over her taut body. For comfort, she had taken her greyish hooded coat off to allow her body to breathe a bit, but no sooner than for that to happen did she put it back on, only with the zipper off. She put her MP7 on her person along with her handgun, and slipped out of her room for some air. She decided she would've liked to see what the roof view of the place looked like, she never had in the few days she was there since her arrival. Perhaps she could learn how to snipe? She didn't know, only time would tell. She knew a couple of the survivors by heart, Joseph being one of them, but she hadn't had much time to hang out with anyone else, she mostly kept to herself...she wondered if that would change?

After a few minutes waiting - what seemed like an eternity to Joseph - he heard Kara's footsteps across the roof and turned around. "Hey, babe," he said as they embraced. Kissing her briefly as they stood there, Joseph looked back down from their rooftop perch. "Spell me for a little bit while I make the rounds," he asked. "I'm going to check on Nick, see how's he doing....check on Rizzo, see how she's doing, walk the grounds....etc.,etc.,etc.," kissing Kara once more. "You gonna' be alright up here?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine," Kara replied. "You go on and check on everyone," she said; as Joseph walked towards the stairs, he stopped, turned and added, "Kara? See if you can get hold of Seth; I want to touch base with him on a few things. Nothing major, okay?"
"Sure," Kara said, watching as Joseph turned back around and headed towards the stairs for his daily tour of the Hampton and the grounds surrounding the hotel...

Sisa had been up for a while checking her belongings. She found that distracting herself with such small task helped with the sadness. So far she already checked the AK locked in the closet of the hotel room, everything appeared to be in order on that end other then the lack of ammunition she had for it, perhaps she would ask someone if they knew if there was more.
The bathroom in her room had already been cleaned after the bed was made. For a brief moment in time Sisa could not think of anything else to do.. Well anything that involved her room that is. Her daughter had been fast asleep until recently when Sisa turned and saw the toddler staring back at her with a tired expression that changed into a smile.
Koya's smile always made Sisa smile even when tears weren't to far away. The one year old and three months had gotten on her feet and lifted her arms up as if performing sign language. The young woman grinned and reached down to pick up her daughter knowing all to well that hands up meant pick me up. The two of them walked around the room, well Koya did more of the looking around while Sisa did all of the walking and carrying. The child mostly reached for the curtains and pointed at things with non comprehensible babble other the a few close words.
She let Koya down on the ground when she finally remembered the basket of cloths she had gathered for James and Calvin. She walked over toward a corner of the room and picked up the laundry basket with an assortment of mens cloths she gathered last night. Sisa had no idea what sizes the two men wore but she didnt think they would take offense to a few extra large shirts or pants folded somewhere in the basket.. After all everyone needed spares from time to time.
Once the basket was firmly in her arms Sisa made way for the door with Koya happily following behind in curiosity. Once in the hall she knew their room wasn't that far away. She walked down the hall toward the two's room, Koya caught up with her fairly well with only once stumble during the walk.
She stood outside their door staring at it as her mind thought. Would it be too rude to knock? Surely others were awake by this time? Maybe leaving the basket outside their room would be best.. She had no time to decide because Koya did so for her. Her darling daughter hit her little palms against the door making noise. All the while doing so she looked up at Sisa with a very ornery smile that made Sisa even smile although a tad embarrased. "Agh sorry haha baby alarm clock at your service." She said loud enough for anyone on the other side to hear. Sisa them proceeded to try and stop Koya from making any more racket but the child found enjoyment in hitting the door with her hands and thought the faces mommy was making was some sort of game.

Cassidy rested in the bed beside Calvin, timing his breathing. He had spent most of his nights like this, watching him and making sure that he was okay. He was exhausted from the accident a few days prior, and it didn't sit well with him that he hadn't gotten to know the rest of Sisa's group well before they committed to staying a few nights. Plus, Calvin had fought him tooth and nail about running off in the middle of the night, and that argument had still been on his lips as he unwillingly drifted off to sleep. He had only awoken a few times throughout the night, mainly to groggily complain about being in pain, and Cassidy was able to ease him back into a fitful slumber. Between caring for him all night and being on guard against the rest of the partially unknown group, Cassidy had barely slept, and it was evident by the tired strain on his face.
But he would give up sleep entirely if it meant keeping Calvin safe. He stroked his hair as he watched him sleep, and already, some of his inflammation had lessened just barely. Some of the cuts had already crusted over with dried blood, and the bruising had finally set in on his nose and by his eyes. He looked terrible, and Cassidy could only hope that he felt better than he appeared. As he watched him, comforted him, a banging came at the door and it jolted Cassidy out of his reverie. He reached under the pillow for his pistol out of instinct, and as he sat up in bed, he was ready to use it. But through the rhythmic pounding, Cassidy heard Sisa's voice, playful and apologetic as she spoke about her baby.
Cassidy relaxed just barely, but he knew he'd feel better once he saw the two face to face. He got out of bed and tucked his pistol into the back of his jeans. The metal rested up against his bare back, cool, and his shirt was draped over the back of a nearby chair. His chest and arms were sculpted and littered with cuts and scrapes, and his stomach was taut from years of malnutrition and fitness. He moved to the door and unlocked it, and he cracked it open to peek out before he opened it all the way. Once he saw the little girl banging on the door and smiling up at him, as well as her mother behind her, he relaxed and opened the door fully. He figured that if they were creating a clever ruse to harm them, they wouldn't put the baby in danger. Or perhaps that was just parental instinct talking.
"Good morning," Cassidy greeted. His eyes drifted to Koya and made sure that the little girl wasn't going to lose her balance before he looked back up to Sisa. She had a laundry basket on her hip, and he more than appreciated the gesture. He didn't want to presume that the clothes were for them, however, and even if they were, Cassidy had more than enough supplies out in his car. It was just a matter of getting to them, and with Calvin barking at his heels as he had been, Cassidy didn't know how long he was going to stay. Nevertheless, he would happily take the opportunity to recuperate, and he leaned against the door frame on his strong forearm. "Did you sleep well?"
(Oops, sorry about the lapse in understanding about how much time had passed. My bad ^_^; I fixed it)

Walking downstairs, Joseph went through in his mind all the things he needed to get done: check in on Nick and see how he was healing, talk to Seth, see how Sisa and Koya - a/k/a Lil' Munchkin - were doing, check in on Cassidy and the rest of the people at the Hampton, and decided to start with checking in on Nick and Dean first.
Opening the door to his and Kara's room, he stepped inside and grabbed his medical kit, making sure everything was where it was. Satisfied everything was in order, he closed it and headed back outside, shutting the door and turning down the hallway. Walking down, he reached Nick and Dean's room and lightly knocked on the door. "Dean, Nick, its' Joseph," he said, stepping back from the door and waiting for someone inside to answer.
Calvin didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be in the room. Didn't want to be in the hotel. He wanted to alone, and on the road. Being trapped, or forced to stay here was on his nerves. These people clearly were ill prepared. Any one could roll up and take them out. It wasn't secure, and the Walker presence was to strong. They seemed unorganized and weak. That's just what he gathered from observing them, watching how they worked.
He still hadn't talked to any of them, but he doubted they would change his mind. Weak people were weak people, and he knew weak people. The strongest one he saw so far was Sisa, or the one who had the wounded black pirate as a lover. The rest looked weak, like he could get the, to roll. Get them to do what he wanted.
Calvin sat on the bed leaning back on his hands. His head traced patterns on the ceiling, making out shapes and figures. He was bored, so fucking bored. He needed something to do, or something to ease the boredom. These ones here, weren't helping. He doubt they had anything, maybe the doctor had some pills he could steal, or find a bottle of booze in storage. Anything was better than sitting in this room while James worried.
Every day he asked James to leave. They had no reason to stay. He was better now, wasn't as sore. He didn't wince when he walked, and could make it out there now. But no matter how much Calvin insisted, how much he asked, James said no. Calvin pleaded, James said no. It was at that point where Calvin would run away, and James would follow. Or he wouldn't and for once in Calvin's life they would be separated. He would follow, James always did.
Turning to James Calvin sighed. "It's so fucking bboring here. Tell mme again wwhy we can't leave? Why are we staying here?" He stood up on his feet. What little supplies they had seemed to be gone. At least Hampton was nice enough to spare some clothing for them. It hung loosely off Calvin, but he didn't mind. "Tell me we can at least leave today? The bbiters are thinning out, and we can mmake a break for it."
Just then he heard a knock at the door. Calvin turned. It was Sisa. He sighed and sat back on the bed. "Great house keeping is here. Pplease leave. Didn't you see the do not dddisturb." He sat on the bed and crossed his arms, watching and listening to the two of them talk. As James leaned agaisnt the door frame and asked Sisa how she slept Calvin made a gagging noise. "Ugh, you make me sick." He said as he moved past both of them into the hall.
"I'm going to go look around, see wwwhat I can find. Dddon't worry I wwon't leave the hotel." With that Calvin made his way to the stairs, looking to climb them down and find something interesting.
Seth had gone out early in the morning on his own to not only get some fresh air but to search some unknown areas of the town that has been untouched. Cruising down the street in his pickup he's encountered a few stragglers and made sure to off them before they became a threat to anybody. He did have his walkie talkie with him just in case somebody was worried or if he needed assistance, but the folks at Hampton have had a lot go on recently and he really wanted them to all rest and have a break from the action/dirty work.
The sunlight was beaming along the hood of the truck as he parked in the middle of the street in front of an old grocery store. The windows were all intact but the doors were blocked from the inside with wooden chairs. From the street view, he could see a few walkers inside. Deciding it'd be best to draw them out, he walked up to the easiest accessible window and busted it with the butt of his gun and awaited for the dead to come to him.

Dean chuckled slightly as Nick called him a stalker and explained how a picture would last longer. “I’m sure it would, but I like the real thing.” He spoke with a wink. Dean grinned as Nick asked about his morning wood. “It’s good to know you notice these things and that you actually miss it.” Dean spoke with a smile. “But yes I’ve been awake for some time.” He added still smiling. For a slight moment Dean remembered what he was thinking off, but he had to push those thoughts away since his lover was awake. He slowly got up and gave Nick a soft tender kiss, it was their way of saying good morning.
As he backed away Nick asked if he wanted to help clean his eye. “Love, I can see you embarrassed just asking this, but don’t be, I want to help, I want to take care of you.” He spoke softly. Dean then gathered all the things he needed. He sat on the bed Nick was in, before slowly removing the bandage.
He heard how Nick spoke about making up lost time and how he expressed is love for Dean. “I’m looking forward to some time together, but since I will always be by your side, never leaving you, we will have plenty of time together.” Dean spoke as warm smile formed on his face. Then he slowly grabbed Nick his hand. “I think I do have a pretty good idea how much you love me, probably as much as I love you.” He spoke. “I thought I lost you.” He spoke softly in a sad tone as he looked at Nick. “I wouldn’t have been able to go on, without you.” He added. Then he forced a smile. “But no time to think about that, what I mean by this, is that I love you so fucking much and that for now on I will make sure nobody can take that away.” He spoke looking at Nick. “My love for you is forever.” He added.
He then smiled. “But enough of that, time to focus.” He spoke. Dean then gently started to clean the eye, making sure he didn’t hurt his lover. Sweat formed on his forehead, since he was always scared of hurting him. “If something feels unpleasant, just tell me and I’ll try to do it different.” He spoke softly. Dean was nearly done when he heard knocking, followed by Joseph his voice. “Come in!” Dean yelled back as he continued with cleaning Nick his eye. “You still ok sweetie?” he asked as he looked at Nick.

Nickiah's eyebrow raised up higher then the other when Dean said miss. "Oh this isn't real. Fifty percent of of it is God made and the other fifty percent I decided needed some work." He said sarcastically with chuckle. The expression on his face turned into a grin while he watched Dean come close and kiss his lips. The action brought a smile to the young pirates face once their lips parted. "Well early bird catches the worm I guess."
The idea of needing help never sat well with Nickiah. It did not matter the situation or reason behind assistance. He hated the idea of being helpless and the request was hard for him to ask of Dean. Nickiah remained silent other then a sigh in response to Deans words. His working dark brown eye watched his love gather the supplies needed to cleansed the damage on his eye. "You know I hate.." He paused while Dean removed the bandage exposing the damage done by that prick Walton. He bit his lip deciding on the best words that wouldn't come a cross the wrong way. "Getting help with stuff. I am not good at asking for it or receiving it. Thank you I really appreciate it babe." A smile although faint managed to show on the mans face.
Nickiahs hand interlocked with Deans. His loves word made the young man almost cry at out how sad the statement was. He looked away with his good eye while Dean's words seemed to change to a more preferable tone. "Dean I would hope you would be able to live for me if i were to pass. To live the happy life I would want for you if I were gone." Nickiah explained with sadden eyes. The idea of Dean doing such a thing made it feel as if their were a knot in his throat. Nick forced a smile before patting Dean's hand trying to change his own inner feelings with something positive. "As is mine for you."
Once Dean began cleaning Nickiah eye it wasn't hard to notice that his boyfriend was very nervous. Nickiah himself was uncomfortable with the sight of his damaged eye let alone the act of cleaning but it was something that had to be done. Nickiah's good hand reached up toward Dean's face, gently wiping away beads of sweat on Dean's brow. "Yes but that reminds me of a very wonderful moment in my life. I believe it occurred at a farmhouse." He spoke softly while his mind went back to that fateful morning. It was such a sweet morning despite the loss that had happen before it. The type of thing that Nickiah liked to think of when times got rough. Nickiah had been lost in nostalgia when Joseph had knocked on the door and came out of thought when Dean asked again if he was okay. "I am okay Dean. You are doing just find love"
Standing on the rooftop of the Hampton gave Kara what looked like a breathtaking view of the area....that is, she mused, if your breathtaking view included two major highways, a bunch of deserted buildings and residences and other detritus. Pausing to look around, Kara blew out a long, drawn out breath, which caught the attention of one of the other hotel residents. "Everything alright there, babe?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm alright," Kara replied, taking a moment to sight the area with her rifle, using the iron sights (Kara hated the scope on her rifle) to gauge distances from the hotel to them, noting the distances in her mind for future reference. Turning to look at the others, Kara was about to ask where Seth was; she'd tried reaching him earlier and wasn't able to when she thought, Seth's probably out walking the streets or looking for supplies; best to leave him be for now and call later....

Sisa removed her eyes from her daughter who smiled up at her, she sighed before looking back up. She was greeted by the older one named James if her memory served correct. He had no shirt and that was odd but not completely out of the Peruvians expectations. It is why she had the basket of cloths resting against her hip in the first place. Sisa assumed they had lost their supplies when the vehicle crashed and thought it was a nice gesture. "Buenos dias." She smiled with a slight nod of her head as if agreeing with the statement. "It is indeed"
Sadly the feeling of kindness did not seemed to be shared in the young boys greeting. Without skipping a beat Sisa began to laugh. It was not one of real joy, sarcasm was all that was meant to be expressed while her free hand gently rested over her chest. "Sorry Calvin I must have missed the sign when I was thinking of that time I saved your life. Hmmm oh you remember that time? It was a few days ago." She said humorously with a smile clearly drawn out on her tan face. The weight on her right leg shifted to her left. She gently shook her head and whispered so as to not agitate the royal head ache. "How do you do it?" Sisa turned her head a little to nod on the direction of Calvin. Whom she could only imagine was somewhere in the room past James.
Sisa moved out of the way for teen to go on her merry way. Her dark eyes glanced down at Koya who had begun to follow Calvin, she was about to call the child back before the little girl lost interest on her own. She watched Calvin disappear and it wasn't until then that she had forgotten to answer James earlier question. "Oh well you know as good as any mother can." She said light heartedly, her watchful eyes observed as Koya had seemed to squeeze past James, waddling inside their room to only find something to mess with. "Oh uh pardon." Sisa said before handing the basket to James as she moved past him to pick up the curious one year old. Koya smiled and babbled off an unintelligible word as she was take up into her mothers warm embrace.
Even when barging into James and Calvin room to gather her adventurous little girl Sisa could not be mad at those pretty brown eyes for long. Before she said an apology to James she kissed her little darling on the cheek. "I'm sorry for bar-" Her apology was interrupted momentarily by her daughters attempt at grasping at her face. "Haha barging in like I did but kids will be kids." She said with much love and joy as her eyes remained on the one year old for a minute longer. Finally those dark brown eyes focused back on man named James. It was in this time that Sisa had noticed his lack of a short. The sight of men shirtless was always strange to her. Why did they have nipples when they couldn't breast feed? Sisa's breast hurt a little from the teeth her young one had grown. This was know time for her to be suddenly thinking about her mother problems though.
"Well he is not wrong. You certainly could make ladies get a fever in your current state." Teasingly pointing out the lack of the shirt with a faint smirk plastered on her face. She laughed a little before taking a step toward the door way again. Her mind now thinking of the others and some form of breakfast. "How about you put on a shirt? This is not a strip club after all. So then you can meet the others." Sisa now moved and leaned against the door, her daughter resting on her hip toying with a strand of her dark hair. She would wait and see if James took her up on the suggestion. "You may attract unwanted attention of you stay shirtless... " She cupped her mouth with all seriousness as if it were a secret. "We have gays." Her hand left her face and She turned her head to look down the hall for any sign of Dean or Nickiah. They did not seem to be up yet so that was good. It was one thing for her to worry about Koya but to have to worry about offending her friends was a whole another thing. "I whispered that because I didn't know if you were okay with that sort of thing. I mean for all I know you could be one" The Peruvian shrugged her shoulders a little unsure. She had verbally dug herself a hole when it came to the topic and the expression on her face begged for a change in discussion.

Cassidy was happy that Sisa was a mother. It gave her patience, the kind that one needed to deal with Calvin on a frequent basis. Cassidy had raised the boy, and they had spent so much time together that Cassidy was basically immune to his attitude and antics. He almost forgot how difficult he could be, but he was reminded of that fact when Sisa skillfully let his comments roll off of her back. Although Calvin was being rude, Cassidy more than appreciated the gesture. He would have to thank her later.
Sisa asked how he did it, and for a moment, he wished he could chalk it up to being a parent. He knew that she would understand that. But he also knew that he couldn't say that no matter how much he wanted to. "Lots of patience."
Calvin wasted no time moving around him and out into the hall, and Cassidy furrowed his brow as he went. "Cal, wait up." He was worried to have him walking around when he should have been resting, but more than that, Cassidy still just wasn't sure what they were dealing with. He had yet to meet the others, but he liked the think that if they were going to try and hurt them, they would have done so already. Either way, it still made him uneasy for the boy to go off solo.
The little girl waddled into the bedroom, and Sisa followed after her. To see them together made him remember Camilla, made him remember when Calvin was just a little baby. The nostalgia of it all was a little sad, but it made him smile nonetheless. "You don't have to apologize. Kids will be kids, you're right."
Remembering Camilla, remembering Calvin, put Cassidy in a pleasant mood. Even after everything that had happened, those memories warmed his heart and gave him solace. Sisa made a comment about his appearance, and all Cassidy could do was laugh along. It was normal to sleep without a shirt, especially when letting his wounds breathe, but the comment about getting a fever made him chuckle. Was she flirting with him? He couldn't tell. Cassidy had buried his head inside of taking care of Calvin for such a long time that it was almost foreign to him.
Sisa mentioned that this wasn't a strip club on her way for the door, and Cassidy raised his brows and touched his hand to his chest with a hushed whisper. "It's not?"
He smirked just barely at her and moved to grab a fresh shirt. He pulled it over his head and let out a relaxed sigh at the way that the clean cotton felt against his abused skin. Sisa commented once more about his lack of a shirt, this time whispering that there were gays in their compound. Cassidy chuckled along with her at her antics, and adjusted his shirt so that his pistol was hidden safely in the back of his pants.
"I am very much okay with that sort of thing. People are people. We have much bigger problems in the world to worry about than who is kissing who." Cassidy moved to where she leaned against the door and politely gestured for her to vacate first. "But no, I am not one."
Cassidy smiled at her as she left the room with her baby, and he followed and shut the door behind her. Together, the pair walked off in the direction that Calvin had gone. Sisa had mentioned meeting the others, so Cassidy hoped that they could kill two birds with one stone. Although he kept his face neutral and relaxed, he was worried about Calvin, and his eyes were peeled for him as he followed his trail down the hall. "So, how long have you all been here?"
Calvin made his way down the hallway and turned into stair well. He closed the door behind him and started to climb the flight down. It was empty, and each step echoed as he walked. Cement stairs, bare empty walls. You could hear a pin drop in here. The silence was creeping him out so he hurried down the steps to the main floor. Coming out of the stairwell he stepped in to the lobby.
"Hey anyone know where the bar is around here," he called out, only. Making his way through the lobby he passed the reception desk and moved through some large doors. He was bored, how many days they had spent healing here, or at least it felt like forever. He wasn't as badly hurt, he could walk, and he could move. Sure he was bruised and scraped, but it was not worth staying over.
Yet James insisted on staying. Calvin didn't know why, he couldn't comprehend why he would willingly want to stay. These weren't their people, it had always just been James and him, that's how it was meant to be. Others only slowed them down, they were just excess baggage. That's what happened, it got them hurt or in trouble. There was a reason James had insisted they stay alone all this time.
He could hear them following him. Despite where ever the help tried to direct James, he knew his body guard would follow him. His main priority had always been to keep him safe. After all these years it was no longer about the money, it was the bond they shared. He continued walking, moving out of the lobby to the restaurant area.
A sound outside caught his attention. There were trucks, lots of them. They surrounded the front door, shouted something about giving up supplies. Calvin moved closer to the window to take a look. A bullet tore through the glass and hurried itself in to the table behind him. All around the windows exploded as the men in trucks opened fire.
They came out of no where, came in full force. All Calvin could do was duck down, close his eyes, and wait for the shooting to stop.

Hearing Dean's voice telling him to enter, Joseph stepped inside and said hello to both Dean and Nick, happy to see both of them in good spirits, especially Nick. "Morning, gents," he said, grabbing a nearby chair and setting his medical bag down so he could grab a stethoscope and other exam gear. Sitting down on the bed so as not to disturb either Nick or Dean, Joseph began examining Nick, making sure his vital signs were in good shape and that there weren't any overt problems that would require his attention; setting his stethoscope down and hanging it around the back of his neck, he said, "So far, so good," smiling as he began examining the various wounds Nick had suffered, checking each one with Dean's assistance and looking to see how each wound he'd operated on was healing and everything.
After about fifteen minutes or so, Joseph shook his head and said, "Nick, for once, I only have good news to offer you...the good news is that your wounds are healing and that, barring some complication or whatever, you should be good to go. I also found," grabbing his medical bag and searching through it some, "or I should say, Kara found, some more patches to go over your eye there," pausing to lay them out on the chair so that both Nick and Dean could see them, "including this one that's got a pirate motif on it; I don't know if you'd be interested in it or not, but I'll leave it to you two to decide.
"Anyway," Joseph continued, moving from where he'd been sitting on the bed to his chair, moving everything over so that he could sit down, "now that that's out of the way, Nick, how are you feeling today? Same question goes for you as well, Dean," figuring that while he was here, he'd at least check to see how Nick was holding up mentally.
