It seemed Aron had been in quite the adventure himself. Some of it seemed somewhat outrageous but then again; Mac knew Aron wasn't a liar and the dead walking the earth had made a lot of people go insane. He gave Aron a friendly tap on the shoulder. He might not have felt the fallback from such an ordeal immediately but that might come later on. Anne-Marie still had nightmares from her captivity by the Reverend, even though she tried covering them up.
"Well I'm glad you made it." Mac said. "And that you're here. There's a bit of a situation going down in the camp but just focus on getting yourself and your friend sorted out for the moment. Anne-Marie'll get you your stuff back and fill you in on how things work."
Mac handed over the armored SUV's keys to Anne-Marie. The sudden realization that Randall was still among them hit Mac all of a sudden. It seemed impolite not to introduce Aron to him. He was a Council member after all and deserved an explanation.
"Randall, this is Aron." Mac said. "Aron, Randall. Randall's a Council member for this camp. Aron here has helped me a great deal and isn't shy to get his hands dirty. You want something done, he's your guy. I vouch for him personally."
Ellen took over in the medbay, leaving Charlie to tend to the camp. Still, she had heard Puke-guy mimicking her and what he said about giving blood. Charlie figured maybe she could ease up on the guy. If he was this willing to give blood to the camp's people as he was to the intruders he'd be okay in her book.
Rather than to comment something back; Charlie decided to do something totally different. She walked over to Damon and laid her hand on his chest, caressing it.
"Thank you so much for selflessly giving your blood you big hero stud you!" Charlie said in a seductive mimicked Southern Belle voice. "What on earth would we do without you here to save the day?"
She then gave Damon a peck on the cheek and walked out the medical tent.
"Blergh!" Charlie cringed. "The things I do for this camp! Got me kissing guys and shit..."
She walked over to the mess hall to keep an eye on things there, just in time to hear the ziptied guy whine about still not being cut loose. Charlie got out her knife and cut the man loose, just to stop his whining.
"There, you're loose!" Charlie said. "Now you be a good boy and eat! Don't make me get Kelsey to put you down again!"
Charlie mentioned Kelsey because she was a small frail girl but was still able to bash this guy's head in. Charlie figured it would subdue his ego a little. She then sat herself on the table in front of Jake and Emre.
"So what's the deal with your friends in the medbay?" Charlie asked. "I'm willing to debate whether or not our sniper shooting the guy was a miscalculation but that woman definitely got what was coming to her. Still; what kind of person thinks it's a good idea to start walking around and doing shit when there's a goddamn sniper taking aim at you? And her drawing her gun? Damn, she's lucky I decided to put the beat on her instead of ordering my squad to fire! She could've gotten all of you killed you know!"
Charlie hoped she could get through to these guys, maybe even get them to see that how the man and woman in the medbay acted irrational and work them over.

Remy looked up as the kid sat his tray down first then himself without as much as an invitation. Her face went from contemplative to stone cold as the kid spoke. She raised a brow as the plastic spork she was using dug down into the cooling eggs.
"Sure kid."
She took another bite finding her fill as she nearly finished the eggs off. She knew that she would have to eat it all. Wasting food was a bad thing and it would keep her in that bad light. She looked towards the newcomers as Charlie came in barking like the bulldog she was. She rolled her eyes and turned back to Dale as he talked about himself. She learned more about him in those few sentences then he would learn about her while she was here, that was for sure.
"You should get used to being alone. Don't depend on nobody to keep yourself alive."
He would hear that southern twang in her voice as she took another slow bite of the eggs, topped off with the piece of fruit. As she looked at him she leaned into the table as she spoke low.
Elizabeth looked up as the nurse finally came in. She looked a big haggard from the night before. She'd heard there had been some drinking and celebration of some sort the night before, but she decided to stay in and read a book she had read at least six times over. It didn't matter though as she took over care of the pirate who offered up blood. Thankfully the girl passed out didn't need quite as much as the man with the gunshot wound. She looked up to her as she continued to work on the injured shoulder.
"I've got this one. If you can take the blood from the pirate I can administer it. I think the doc needs you more. That man is in worse shape."
She tilted her head back to indicate Andrei needing help. They were furiously trying to save Sterling and thankfully they had the means to keep him sedated while they worked.
Nate laughed at er comment about the pills. "Was just trying to get you to laugh. Wanted to hear your laugh again," Nate said smiling. He took the knife and smiled. "Save some lives for me Ms. Shaw," he joked as she left.
Nate took the knife and wlaked over to the pair of newcomers. He saw Charlie cut the ties and laughed, "best me to it. Was just about to set you free," he said sitting down across from them. He looked at Remy and the kid but turne his gaze back to the pair.
"Im curious on what happeend too. I mean I wake up and all hell is broken loose. What did you guys do to have the majority of the camp pissed at you. Well maybe not you personally but your group. What were you intentions when Ellen and firing squad of death found you. You two seem like respectable people. How come your friends are shot up and not you. I wouldn't want them putting my life in danger of I were you."
He looked at Charlie. "What ever happened to Hykeem. He just left toward the motor depot."
Dale was privy to agree with the woman about relying on others. He didn't plan on relying on anybody. It was easier to live when all the jobs that could be split up between people weren't all on yourself, sure he knew that, but he was used to relying on himself anyways. It was rough, but he was even now debating how long he wanted to stay here. He didn't expect as soon as he entered the camp to be engulfed in so much drama. He would have to consult with Veran of course, but he would tackle that when it happened.
"Outside," he replied to her last question. Just as she was secretive about herself, so was he. As he said when he sat down, he didn't necessarily want to talk, but if she wanted to ask questions, he could at least reply to them. At that point he realized she wasn't particularly enthused by his attempt to make friendly, so he stopped the fake smiles, and kept his normally bland demeanor. He decided to tell her something a little more revealing, "Sam's my father, he's the guy dressed up like a pirate. Everybody's got their niche I guess. Doesn't make me care any less about him. He was the last person I expected to see here, and we've yet to really catch up because of that mess outside."

Jake was happy that Emre was still with him, he was able to get some food for the both of them. He also noticed that the kid found someone to talk to, even though Jake didn’t know him, he was happy he wasn’t alone, if no one would have reacted Jake would have asked him to join them, even though everyone had to take care of themselves, kids shouldn’t be alone. Just as Jake was about to ask if somebody could help him with his food, the blonde girl returned. If he wasn’t mistaken, Nate called her the scary lesbian, but her real name was Charlie, at least that is what he heard. She walked over to him and finally cut him loose, while doing so she just had to make fun of him. "Thanks, no need to make jokes though." Jake would normally react to that, but two of their people were in danger, so he decided to keep his head cool. Then she sat down and started to ask questions.
Jake sighed, he really didn’t want to talk about everything that happened, but maybe an explanation would clear things up. Before he could react Nate joined them, he found a knife and also wanted to help Jake, but Charlie already cut him loose. He also asked about their story. Jake started to eat a bit as he looked at Charlie and Nate, he swallowed the food in his mount then he started explaining. “Well, because I had a lot of trouble in the past, I was a bit cautious when you’re lovely squad came at us.” Jake said as he took another bite. “So you saw I wasn’t planning on dropping my gun, but my friend, convinced me to do so and right about when I was going to drop it, the sniper shot him.” Jake said. “And I know it might not me smart to walk around with a sniper, but he was with his back towards all of you, it’s not like he was going to attack, so yeah I think that was a big mistake of your side.” Jake said softly. He just wanted that he dropped his gun earlier, but then again he just wanted to keep everyone safe.
“Now that man was a close friend to the girl, you… played with.” Jake said as his tone changed with the word played.
“So she lost it when her friend got shot, and that why she did what she did.” He added. Then he ate some food again cause he was hungry. “I wasn’t planning on doing anything, just wanted to keep my gun to keep the group safe and that escalated.” Jake said as he swallowed his food.
Then he looked at Emre. “If you want any more details I think Emre can tell his side of the story as well, I’m going to get some water.” Jake said as he got up. He walked over to where Emre got the food and grabbed a bottle of water for both of them. Then he walked back, placed the bottle infront of Emre and opened the other so he could drink. Then while he drank he sat back down.
Emre began to dig into his food, he didn't really care what it was, he just ate. He downed about half of it in a couple of minutes, that was when Charlie, the woman who ziptied him, entered the mess hall. The woman cut off Jake's zipties and sat down in front of the two. She asked what was up with Dannie and Sterling when their group arrived at the cabin, Emre shrugged.
"I guess they were just tryna protect what was theirs. To be honest, I don't blame them for what they did, your group just kinda came along and threatened us"
Sure, Emre's group were in a close range of their settlement, but he didn't see any signs claiming the hole fucking area as their property. Although, Sterling did kinda get a bit too close to them and Dannie reacted quite badly to Sterling getting shit, although it seemed justified.
"I suppose I'm glad I'm the only one who surrendered as I came out unscathed"
He watched Jake get up and get Emre and himself some water. The man placed it down in front of Emre to which he smiled.
"Thanks man"
He then continued to eat the rest of his food on the plate.
When Nate asked if he had seen Hykeem Charlie just shrugged. The last time he had seen him was when he incomprehensively shouted at her and some others.
"Don't know." Charlie said. "Haven't seen him since he shouted who-knows-what at me and stormed off.
She then listened to Jake and Emre explain. Charlie shook her head. Imbeciles, both of them. They acted like they were robbed by bandits while in fact Ellen's dad was sent out to talk with them and explain things. Still they went apeshit over it. Jake pretended like he didn't do anything wrong but the fact of the matter was that if he had dropped his weapon, none of this would've happened.
"Uh-huh." Charlie said. "Have you considered that maybe if you had realized you were outgunned and dropped your weapon as soon as you were asked to your friend wouldn't have needed to move around, which was a dumb move to begin with? Maybe you should start thinking that perhaps if you had listened to what our negotiator had to say, and believed him for just one minute your friends might not have been in the situation they are in now? Also, you need to get your shit straight; your friend had turned around suddenly when the sniper shot him. For all we knew he could've taken your gun from you and use it to shoot the negotiator. And the woman? Going up against 15 armed people and a sniper with a handgun? You should count your lucky stars our sniper shot her instead of the squad opening fire on all of you."
By Charlie's account, everything that had happened was Dannie's fault. If she hadn't acted so convinced that they were bandits and realize they were just regular people none of this would've happened. She was also the one stupid enough to go check under the hood of her car with a sniper aimed at her. Thank god Mac handsignaled to hold fire or she would've gotten everyone killed then and there.
"You're both lucky it was us who found you." Charlie continued. "Had we actually been bandits we would've murdered all of you then and there. My advice? Try to convince the Council to let you stay here and stay clear of the two in the medbay; assuming they survive. Which I'm kinda hoping they don't since they're both proned to get others killed. And next time, drop the gun when you're told to okay?"

"Outside? Really? I gathered as much, kid." She finished off her eggs and was getting ready to bring the dishes back when the kid mentioned he was the son of Sam. She knew who the pirate was and she was pretty sure aside from Lex, no one else knew his name.
"Huh, the pirate had a kid. Who knew?"
She pushed the little dishes aside and smirked to him. It was another family reunion that happened at the complex.
"Well, you're one of the lucky ones then. Not many people can say that anymore."
She mentioned nothing about Logan, Ellen and Anne-Marie being related. She was certain their hotheaded arrogance would be pieced together by this kid soon enough. She tapped her fingers on the table as she started to rise, looking him in the eyes. She never gave her name or anything else about her, but she knew she wanted to go ahead and get that lab set up before heading outside the gates to get some walker blood samples.
"Wanna survive here? Just do what they tell you and don't take nothing personally."
She nodded her head to Charlie who was rattling off to the new guys that came in with the two people that had been shot.
He didn't know how Mac was going to respond to the story. It all seemed like a fantasy, something so deluded and twisted like this should never had happened in real life, but it did. Aron figured that Mac had been through a lot and probably seen much worse in his years. Aron hadn't felt scarred by the events but Sasha certainly had and noticed her lip tremble as he spoke about the event, so he decided to cut the Queenie talk short.
Mac replied, telling him how he was glad he was back and that he'd finally get his clothes and most importantly his items back. He nodded.
Just before he was about to go off with Sasha and Anne-Marie to get his old gear back, Mac had introduced him to an older man, Randall was his name. He looked tough, certainly capable, a lot of men which seemed this type were often considered bad-eggs, but Aron couldn't see any reason to question the guy after first glance.
He offered Randall a handshake, his most common form of greeting. Mac told him that Randall was one of the council members. Shit. It was someone he didn't want to act goofy around, something which was going to be extremely hard for Aron, seen as that was his normal personality. He simply said "How's it going mate?" before going off to retrieve his gear.
"Wait, wait, wait," Nate said looking at the three of them. "Who acted first? Who shoot the first gun. Gave the first punch," he asked taking a sip of his coffee. "Way I see it there's two sides of the story. Emre, the most respectable of the group said you Attacked first. You, charlie known for fits of rage, said they made the first move." He paused. "Seems like there's two sides of the coin. The stories are crossed. Now knowing how Bear Lakes acts. It's quite possible we got territorial. I mean we had peole right at our gates and we let them in. You found them further along. If we can accept a guy who has cause nothing but trouble," he said as he motioned to Remy, "and her. I'm sure these people are fine. I mean Ellen's dad risked the whole group bringing someone infected and we just shook it off. We should give then a chance. Even the other two. They won't be in any shape to leave anyway. When they are we can give them their cars and guns back and let them go."
Emre listened to what Charlie had to say. Although he understood, he realised that she seemed to be under the impression that what her group did was right. Emre looked at the woman with a less relaxed face as he had before.
"If you only came to talk, how come you arrived with a large amount of guns and people? If that's the way you 'talk' to people, you're going the wrong way about it"
Emre continued to eat as Charlie spoke. She mentioned trying to convince the council to let them stay. Emre looked surprised.
"Stay here? Wait, we have a choice? Cos I was sure this seemed way too much like a kidnapping"

Damon was a bit knocked away by what had happened and looked up wards after the girl left "Women... the great unsolved mystery" He was especially surprised because that girl having the previous day been threatening to attack him and such. He took it as some friendly gesture. She was obviously someone important at this settlement and such.
He didn't really care that much. He was in many ways still getting over his college girlfriend. It may have been two years and but the last time he had seen her they had an argument because he had gotten to drunk having drinks with some other students. He didn't really feel much these days. Physical contact and emotional connection had been seemingly taken from him.
As a Second World War Student Damon almost seemed to treat every new person he met like a replacement on the front line. Until you have lived alone in this world and outside the big walls you were 'green'. Not hardened enough to make it in many ways. Therefore to Damon he just didn't make that many friendships because it hurt him inside to see people get killed.
He then remembered the one doctor or medical person with blonde hair, he hadn't truly met her yet but she asked him to grab her some juice and poured some into a mug before carrying it over he smiled. "Here you go one juice, sorry about the wait I... Ill spare details, lets just say I felt unwell" He imagined describing vomiting was not the best thing to do when you have juice.

Seeing as everything was under control in the medbay, Ellen decided to go to the mess hall as well. She stood behind Nate as he spoke and even though he involved her dad and his group; he was right about one thing; they were getting too lenient and that needed to change. Maybe put a stop on accepting people in the camp and focus on the ones that already were. It was a point she'd bring up with the Council, but not before talking it through with Randall.
Ellen stepped up from behind Nate and heard the Arab-guy shamefully going on about them; even though he was sitting down now uncuffed with full plate of THEIR food under his nose.
"We fired first Nate; let no mistake be about that." Ellen said. "But let's make one thing clear; I shot the grimey guy right after we allowed the pale-skinned bitch to walk about freely to her car and back. Even though she was warned someone was aiming at them; she still went over to her car and opened the hood. Luckily we knew there were no weapons there or else I could've killed her right there. Tell me Nate; do we really want someone with such a disregard for her own life looking after our people? So yeah, when the guy moved to this joker here, turning his back on my dad and suddenly turning around I took the shot. For all I knew he could've had this guy's weapon and shot my dad. So yeah, forgive me for trying to protect my family. Hell, didn't even matter it was my dad, I would've taken that shot for you and for everyone in here and I'd do it again in a heartbeat."
Ellen put her hands in her sides. These shenanigans had been going on for long enough.
"But you're right Nate; my dad, us, we got sloppy with his infected friend yesterday." Ellen continued. "Truth is we've been far too trusting with people as it is already and believe me, it's something I'll lay in front of the Council. Truth is; it's because of Randall and myself that people have been allowed to stay here because we always voted yes but believe me, as far as I'm concerned, that shit is OVER. And I'm pretty sure Randall feels the same about it. I won't waste my breath convincing the other Council members anymore. We're wasting our medical resources and food supplies here on people who don't even deserve it. Well I say no more."
Ellen then faced the two ingrateful fucks at the table. They were having their last meal inside the camp.
"Enjoy your meal while you can." Ellen said. "As soon as your friends die or are capable of walking, you're all outta here! I suggest you start resting up and start planning your future because it sure as shit ain't gonna be here!"
Ellen then left and walked to the Council tent, going inside. She needed some alone time now to cool down; this bullshit had gone on long enough and she was sick of it. She was so done with looking after people who she didn't even know. All that mattered now were the people in Bear Lake, those outside could go to hell as far as she was concerned.

Jake heard how Emre thanked him for the water. “No problem mate.” Jake said. Then he got a lecture from Charlie again about how dumb the decisions were and some other crap. Then she said they were lucky it was them who found their group and not bandit or they would all be dead. On some point Jake had to agree with that, since here they still had medical attention. But he didn’t say anything for now. Charlie then told them her advice was to convince the council to stay. Just as Jake was about to talk, Emre beat him to it.
Just then Nate asked some more questions, but he didn’t even had a chance to answer those either cause Ellen walked in and answered them. Jake sighed. “You probably would have noticed if he took my gun, but I’m done fighting, you have proved your point.”
Then she said they should enjoy their meal and basically, said they would be kicked out as soon as Dannie and Sterling where able to leave. “So far for miss lightning.” He said as he sighed once more.
“Anyways I wanted to thank her for the food, but I’ll just thank you all instead.” Jake said as he started to eat what was left of his food.
Nate nearly jumped when ellen spoke behind him. He turned to look at her, "so it was you who fired first. You started it all. Until then it was a just a Mexican standoff." He looked at Jake, "did te girl really walk endanger herself. You were at gun point why didn't you just stand down?"
Nate set his eyes back in ellen, "no I guess I wouldn't want them loking after my life. But then again I don't trust everyone who had recently just came in these last few days. But you didn't even give them a chancd from what they're saying. Things were heated, you acted, they acted. Both sides are at fault."
He paused and took a breath, "I don't think you nd Randall voting yes isn't wrong. Afterall you voted for me to join. I didn't even offer anything." He liked down. "But if we don't let peole in most will die. We need to keep them alive. If we have resources we can spare why shouldn't we. It's the human thing to do. If we don't have the supplies we should look for more. We need to help people, we have no reason not to."
As she spoke to the men be shook his head, "you said they had cars. Where are they? Are they still out front?"
Veran sat as he was instructed but not before he took off his jacket. No way in hell was he going to manage rolling up those sleeves. He desperately wanted to get the thing washed but for no he had more important things. Underneath his coat was a fairly clean white dublet. It was an easy matter to roll it up.
"Hope yer doc can save them lubbers. Would hate ta be given blood ta dead people,"his tone was joking and he laughed afterwards. He was trying to lighten the mood a bit.
He could tell that Mia was hung over. Being a pirate you tend to get an appreciation for hangovers and how to spot them in others.
That was it then; no more showing kindness for anyone that came knocking. Charlie felt conflicted but she knew Ellen well enough to know she wasn't someone to make rash decisions. What troubled Charlie was Nate's assessment of a situation; he had no right of speaking as he wasn't there. He should've been but he was sleeping off a hangover. When Ellen walked away Charlie jumped off the table she was sitting on.
"You weren't there Nate." Charlie said. "You were supposed to be, but you weren't. Instead you were sleeping off a hangover so keep your self-righteous bullshit for yourself. There was no Mexican standoff; some of these guys had already surrendered. If that pale-skinned bitch whose face I rearranged hadn't started walking around maybe Ellen's triggerfinger wouldn't have been so twitchy. And maybe if this prick here would've just dropped his gun instead of holding on to it the guy we shot wouldn't have needed to convince him to drop it."
Charlie pointed at Jake; the number one cause of the FUBAR situation; followed by the pale-skinned bitch that was likely to get people killed.
"But it's a moot point now." Charlie continued. "Ellen's right; we should focus on the people that are here instead of trying to save everyone. As you can see they don't even deserve to be here. We're already wasting precious medical resources on those two assholes in the medbay. We're lucky Ellen's dad brought in new medical materials but eventually those will run out too. Better that they be used on us than them."
When Nate asked them about the intruders' cars, Charlie knew she had ordered them to be scrapped. She had no idea whether or not the work on them had already begun.
"Yeah, they're out front." Charlie said. "I ordered them to be scrapped but I suppose we could give one of them back. Although I'd rather see these pricks hoof it."
Anne-Marie had guided Aron and his friend back to the armored SUV. She clicked the key to which the car opened, and then opened the trunk. She moved aside some of hers and her father's stuff to uncover Aron's gear.
"We haven't opened your dufflebag after you disappeared; so whatever you've packed from the safehouse in Miami should still be there." Anne-Marie said. "Sorry if my sister was a bit short with you, there's just a lot going on right now and she has a lot to take care off."
Leaving Aron to get his gear; Anne-Marie walked over to his red-haired companion and extended her hand.
"Anne-Marie McAllister." Anne-Marie introduced herself. "Sorry for more or less ignoring you back there; we all had a rough morning and I was glad to see Aron again. You see I was a captive of a madman myself back in Miami. Aron here saved me from a guy I was locked up with in a cage, who had just turned into a walker."
