By now Charlie and the rest of the QRF had made their way back to camp in the intruders' vehicles. Charlie jumped out and stood on the hood of the car.
"Alright, good job people!" Charlie said. "Take 5, then get back to work! Get these vehicles to the motorpool, I want them stripped for parts ASAP!"
Charlie jumped down and went to find Ellen. She found her with the captives still trying to reason with them. Charlie decided to give Ellen some moral support in doing so. Charlie didn't know whether or not it was a good idea to cut one loose, but it was probably the most humane thing to do to have one of them care for the other. The bitch whose face she had bashed had woken up and seemed none to happy with the status quo. Charlie figured it served her right; she should've obeyed when she had the chance.
As Ellen cut Emre loose and asked if he was able to take care of the dumb woman, Charlie chimed in on it.
"Yeah, can you do it?" Charlie asked Emre after Ellen. "Or should we go tell the single ladies there's a new bachelor in town?"

Andrei had just finished his cup of tea and was getting ready to rummage through the files when they brought the shot man. His body instinctively jumped into action, as did Harding's. There was no more tiredness, sadness, only pure focus. There were no walkers out and about, no settlement, no hundreds of people, just them and the wounded man.
"Table!" he said shortly gesturing towards the operating table. Without words him and Dr. Harding moved in unison and coordination. They knew what was needed, and where everything was, each taking whatever was closest. In under a minute they were getting ready to start working.
"El, Logan, Charlie, someone, what the fuck happened? Circular wound, left flank, midclavicular line, front and back." the two were working as fast as they could. They turned the man on his side, revealing the exit wound of the bullet, which Jane seared shut using a red-hot scalpel. There wasn't time for sowing. But he was bleeding fast, they might need to operate and remove some of his intestine. He wasn't going to last long enough if they didn't do something.
"Fuck!" he cussed after Harding passed the cauterizer to him. Andrei stopped most of the surface bleeding, but there was still blood coming from inside. He and the doctor looked at one another, and after a subtle gesture he passed the cauterizer back to her and went to the front of the tent where people were still arguing.
After whistling sharply to get their attention, Andrei began speaking:
"That man needs blood, and fast! O negative, for starters, until we find a match. Decide quickly! Once his heart stops, I'm making sure he isn't turning." his tone was commanding and the sentences were spoken slowly enough so that there won't be any misunderstanding. The look on his face made it clear that he wasn't going to waste time arguing or negotiating. They either helped him or he would put the wounded man out of his misery with his own hands.
Dale stopped to watch the commotion for a few more moments before nodding and falling into step behind his father. He had seen a few interaction between gatherings of people, and it never ended well. It was always interesting to watch and guess what each person would do next. As for this particular group, he noticed one person above the rest, a pale skinned girl. He couldn't help but smirk as he heard her yelling despite his hearing. He admired pride like that, but in this world it was a dangerous thing to be too prideful.
He walked up to the showers with Veran, still eyeing his surroundings, but staying close. As they reached the showers he was more than a little unhappy about the lack of privacy, but he tried to hide his disapproval. Before walking into the shower area, he removed his boots and socks, and then walked in. He turned on the shower head, and after looking back at Veran and saying 'thanks', he walked under the water still in his clothes, and began to wash himself around them.

Damon had left the gate door and headed towards the medical tent hearing what was going on he heard the doc or medic speaking and looked around for a few moments before stepping forward "O Negative?" He grunted a second looking up in anger "I cant believe Im doing this! I'm a match if you want blood, take it now before he dies".
What were the odds he thought, how good was the doctor. How good was the equipment Would they give him enough food and more afterwards. He looked at the man for a moment "I'm clean, no drugs or anything for my blood to be polluted. No blood diseases, no STD's or whatever if it matters. I'm not trusted to do much round here so if I'm useful for much I have the blood, Your move" He was half mad at himself, why stick your neck out for some assholes life bar to endear himself to this group. Whatever he was doing he had said too much now.

As soon as the boy started towards the showers the pirate raised his voice a little.
"I'm going to see if they need any help at the med tent."
Once he had said it he turned around and walked away, hoping that Dale would be ok. He wanted to be with him but knew that his son very likely needed his space. He had been alone for so long now and wasn't all that much of a social being even before. He imagined that he must be all but socially wiped out. He himself would often retreat from everyone after expending so much energy being social.
He walked back to the med tent and overheard someone mention something about O- and he willingly stepped right up. He was O- as well and this gave him something to do to keep his mind busy while Dale showered.
"I'm O- as well, no drug use, no relevant illness."

She looked over at the man who was laying on the table while Andrei frantically worked on the gunshot wound. His eyes opened and his head rolled to the side, looking right at her. She turned to see no one behind her, considering she was standing close to the flap of the tent. When he spoke about someone dying in his arms and heaven she went over to him, leaning down and whispering to him.
"You're not dead. They are going to save you. You've been shot, just try to hang in there."
He was out before she could say the last word though and Logan was already tugging on her sleeve, pulling her out of the tent to tell her what happened.
"You..you shot him for being stupid?" The alarmed look on her face would show as she turned to see the beaten woman and other two men. One of them looked fine, the other looked dazed.
"So who got close enough to beat her up before she got a bullet in her?" She frowned harder now as she kept her eye on the woman that Ellen was yelling at. Something was amiss. She could feel it right on the surface of her skin. She knew how Logan could be and his daughters seemed to be tinder boxes ready to explode.
"You need to get Ellen away from them before something worse happens."
She shook her head in disgust at the entire situation and took two steps away, turning to face Logan.
"Well, you probably could have gotten to the bottom of it a lot quicker if you hadn't shot him, but we're going to have to wait. Andrei knows what he's doing. He'll have that guy back on his feet in no time. Either that or you can make sure Luca takes care of him if he turns."
She crossed her arms over her chest as she looked towards the wall. If there were cannibals out there then going at it alone would be a bad idea. She furrowed her brow tightly and let a long sigh escape from her lips. She thought for a long moment about his words and wondering what action he was thinking of taking.
"So if it's true, then what? You want to go out and declare war on these people or do we wait for them to come to our doorstep?"

Emre listened as she gave many demands to the group that seemed to be helping them now, it seemed they weren't so bad afterall, even though they did cause all of the injuries. The woman, Ellen, seemed to stop Dannie while she was talking, Ellen pointed out that they were helping the group and that Dannie had a chance of bleeding out. After speaking, the woman cut Emre loose, at least he wasn't restrained by them anymore. He was appointed the job of changing Dannie's compresses while until she could be operated on, seemed easy enough. That was when the other woman who he made small talk with brought up him being forced married again, he chuckled at her.
"Don't worry, I can do it, and you can go tell them that, it's been a while since I got some action"
He smiled at the woman and grabbed the compresses that were handed to him. He looked at both of the women in confusion, unaware if he should do anything now.

Jake finally got back to his senses. He heard how the bitchy girl yelled at Dannie. He learned that Sterling was being operated and that Dannie was next. Then he saw how the girl ordered Emre to help and shortly after they were joined by another girl.
“Well, I would love to help too, but my hands are tied.” Jake said annoyed. “Cut me lose, God dammit.” He added.
Then he heard how Emre was trying to be friendly. Jake rolled his eyes, he couldn’t believe that he was actually being friendly. He realized, that they weren’t bandits and that they just wanted to help, but there was no need to act all crazy and go shooting people. He looked at Dannie and deiced to stay calm, he wanted that she would be fine and of course that Sterling would make it, so it would be stupid to start a rebellion again. Jake just hoped that some more friendly people would be here as well.
Morning were usually quiet. Usually. This was not one of those mornings. Randall had just downed his second cup of coffee when the commotion began. He wasn't on duty this morning, so he wasn't about to be up on the wall for no reason. But maybe he should've been this morning.
The shouts came all at once--some from Ellen and Charlie, and others from Mac and his people. God dammit. What the hell was with these past 24 hours? Randall slowly stood up from his chair and put on his coat before exiting the tent. Most were in the medical tent. Gunshot wounds, from what Randall heard.
Randall exited the tent, hoping to find Luca quickly. If he could prove himself today, Randall would lay off him in the future. The first people he saw were Mac and Remy.
Randall scowled. Mac seemed like he had good intentions. He seemed like a good man. But what the fuck was he doing going out and commanding Bear Lake's people without the knowledge of all council members. Randall's morning had been interrupted, and he wasn't in the best of moods. He approaches Mac, his tone serious and admittedly annoyed. "You wanna tell me what the fuck is going on here? Why are you brining in more people? Shot people? Far as I can recall, I didn't endorse your escapade."

Everything happened in an instant--Anthony had just brushed his teeth (which was quite a luxury after so long) when several people--Mac, Ellen, Charlie, and many others came through the gates along with several injured, unknown faces. "Oh my God," Anthony muttered under his breath.
For once, Anthony remained away from the action and stayed quiet. Mac was off with Remy, and Randall had just gone over to talk to them. Right now Anthony would take anyone as a conversational companion--even Luca. But in all the commotion, he was alone.
For once, he felt truly useless. A silver tongue and compassion wouldn't help anyone right now. Right now people needed medical attention. As he scanned the crowd, Anthony finally caught sight of Charlie--talking to some man that Anthony hadn't met.
Anthony quickly made his way to the young woman. "Charlie, right? Antony. What...happened? What's going on?"

DannieLynn still said nothing as Ellen got out of control and in her face again. She was continuing to make herself look bad in the eyes of this Chicago cop. Whoever was the leader of this camp would need to put a lid on this girl before she got them all killed. All she could do was look at Ellen with a sneer as she spoke.
"I'm surprised you've managed to stay alive this long without someone wanting to shoot you in the head and put you out of their misery."
She looked back to Jake and shook her head no as if advising not to aggravate this situation further.
"You cut me loose and I'll talk to someone who has a rational head on their shoulders to figure out why you ambushed us and attacked us. Considering you have all our weapons, there's nothing I can do to really hurt you. But right now, I want to be with Sterling. He needs me in there. He needs me in there to make sure he pulls out of this."
She diverted her gaze away from Ellen and the group of crazies towards the medical tent where she heard Andrei barking out orders on how to save him. If he died, there would be hell to pay.
Nate slowly crawled off his cot. His clothes were now dry but the stuck to his body. He pulled Ina fresh sweater and tried to walk. His leg was killing him. What did he do last night. He must have been putting more weight on it than usual. Nate had no clue what time it was. His head pounded and the light shining through holes in the tent made his eyes hurt. He rummaged in his back for a pair of glasses and slipped them on. He probably looked like a douche with sunglasses on now but it was helping.
Hobbling out of the tent her heard yelling ad arguing. What did this new group do now. He asked himself as he put weight on his good leg. There were people he'd never seen before. He didn't know if ther were new or if he just hadn't seen him. After all he completely didn't notice Nick and Alfred. Nick, that name stood out in his brian. Why did he remember him not wearing pants.
Nate Rubbed his head as he looked at the people. Doen girl was ranting about beig cut loose.
"Would you all just shut up. Your voices are really annoying," he said to the hostages and Ellen. He walked up to them. "Who are thesepeople." he turned to Ellen, "Maybe if you stop screaming it will get resolved."

Mac was getting really tired of Remy only hearing what she wanted to hear time and again. It seemed as what he had told her just didn't want to pour through. Did she do it on purpose to spite him because she was already sympathizing with the intruders before she even knew them?
"No Remy." Mac answered. "I said: ELLEN SHOT THE GUY because HE CAME TOWARDS ME even though I WARNED HIM a SNIPER was WATCHING THEM. Then THE WOMAN SHOT AT ME AND THE QRF so ELLEN SHOT HER TOO. Did you get it this time or do we have to go through it AGAIN?"
As for the notion of getting Ellen away from them, that was just plain ridiculous. His oldest daughter knew what she was doing and if anyone went, it were the intruders; not her.
"Ellen knows what she's doing." Mac continued. "What makes you think these people are the good guys anyway? For all we know they could still be one of your friend Adolphus' people. They just happen to show up right after Carter's disappeared? Maybe you should try putting one and one together. If they're innocent we'll find out. If they turn out to be people out for YOUR blood we'll find out as well and make sure they won't harm anyone ever again. We've already been too lenient with these people and look what it got them! We're lucky they didn't injure or kill any of us!"
Remy was too quick in her judgment. Perhaps if she wasn't so busy convincing herself that Mac and his daughters were stonecold killers; she could've bothered asking how the man told them about the cannibals.
"Oh I would've asked him." Mac said. "Unfortunately he only started to murmur about cannibals after he got his ass shot because he didn't listen to reason. Now are you done with your snide contempt toward my family and myself or was there anything else you wanted to add!?"
Mac was sick of it. Every decision and action Anne-Marie, Ellen and he himself had taken was for the greater good. He was used to being hated for what he did but he'd be damned if he'd allow people to hate his daughters because they made decisions and did things no one else would to keep people safe.
Then Randall came and despite his tone; it was good to hear someone was actually asking legit questions instead of assumptions. It wasn't Mac's intention to command Ellen's people and he tried to do it as little as possible, but figured he had to take a bit of charge after things went awry.
"We explained our intentions and tried to get them to surrender peacefully." Mac answered Randall. "They wouldn't listen to reason so they attacked us. We fought back and two of them got shot. As for us bringing them back here; with the kid from our group disappearing yesterday I want to make sure they're not some scouting party to a larger group that's coming. If they are, better to have them in our custody don't ya think?"
The dumbass who attacked her dad was starting to come to but Ellen wasn't inclined to allow him to go free yet. So far the only one that hadn't tried to attack them and complied when he was told to was Emre; he was the one behaving like they all should have from the beginning. If they had, none of this would've happened. The only one worthy of being cut loose was Emre, and since Charlie apparently had build up some sort of the connection with the guy; he could convince the others of his group that the people of Bear Lake weren't the bad guys they thought they were.
But not the pale-skinned woman. Ellen was done with her. She wouldn't listen to reason, even when her own life was at stake. This woman needed to come to terms that she had blown all chances to get what she wanted and that keep going at it with Ellen would only increase distance on the goal of seeing Sterling. Ellen decided not to waste anymore energy on her.
"Yeah, change the compress now, keep them in place until they're soaked." Ellen said. "And apply pressure. Maybe you can keep her from bleeding out since she's obviously not willing of doing it herself."
Seeing Randall go at it with her dad, Ellen decided to intervene on her dad's behalf. She gave approval for this and if Randall wanted to be mad at anyone, it was going to be at her. However, it seemed the commotion had put Nate R. out of his hangover, and had come out of his cave growling in a bad mood about everyone shouting.
"Finally done sleeping it off?" Ellen said. "If you plan on being useful today go soak your head and give Charlie a hand looking after these guys."
Ellen wasn't going to waste any time on yesterday night's drunks.
"Watch them." Ellen said to Charlie. She then left to join her dad and Randall, passing Anthony without looking at him. She could hear him starting to talk to Charlie in the background as she walked up towards her dad and Randall.
"You're right, you didn't. I did." Ellen said to Randall. "I'm not taking any chances with strange people wandering on our turf. Not anymore."

The only thing that kept running through her mind as Logan berated her was 'typical'. He barked and barked and he thought the louder he barked the more he would be heard. But why was he telling her all this to begin with? If they were a part of Adolphus' group to begin with, she was pretty sure they would have made themselves known. Something wasn't right in all this.
"Wait, Carter left?" She was stunned to hear that. She had brought him into the fold of the group having met him at the hospital. He had a camera and she knew he was akin to taking pictures.
"Regardless of 'who' shot them. You, your daughter, one of the people that went out with your group, the fact of the matter is they're shot and now they're here, in the camp of the people that shot them. And to make it worse, Carter has a camera. When I found him he was taking pictures outside the hospital in Miami. If someone has him, they have his camera too and he's probably been taking pictures here."
She looked to Randall who was approaching and did not look happy about all this. She was feeling pretty alarmed about the fact that Carter was gone and it probably showed on her face.
"What's the point in saving a potential enemy? We need to watch them now. They got shot by Ellen and brought back here. That's got to leave a sour taste in their mouths."
When Randall brought up his displeasure she thought about the council. As a collective group, they could make a decision and hear both sides of the story.
"Once the guy who knows about the cannibals recovers he can go before the council. Maybe the other ones could tell their sides first. Where they came from, what they want. Why they shot at Logan."
She gave Logan the side eye as she said that before adding. She wasn't going to let him rattle her. She couldn't. She was already on the verge of leaving and only one string was holding her in place now. She was prepared to make a ballsy statement now and felt she had to, considering the source was brought to the camp by her.
"Let me go and try to find Carter. Maybe...maybe he just went off on his own. I'm quick and I can hide in a pinch."
Randall stared at Mac as he explained what had happened. It made sense--their actions once they found the people. But why had they gone looking for them in the first place? It still didn't sit well with Randall, and he was about to give Mac a bit of a talking-to when Ellen approached and explained that she'd given the order to secure "their turf."
Randall's eyes narrowed as he shifted his gaze to Mac's daughter. Being one of his only friends, he wasn't going to chastise her, but he wasn't going to nod and approve either. "Our turf?" He gestured towards the walls of Bear Lake. "This--this camp--is our turf. Our turf is where we're safe. We're not safe outside the walls--it's not our turf. If it's not our turf, it's not in our jurisdiction to do a dammed thing about it."
Randall rubbed the bridge of his nose. He was frustrated. He was a smart man, but he was a stubborn man, and Ellen's actions without any consultation, admittedly, annoyed him. "Look, I don't give a shit about those people's freedom or autonomy. Trust me, I dont. But I do give a shit about our ammo. Our supplies. The lives of you and your father and sister and Charlie and everyone else here. You wanna go hold some random people at gunpoint, talk to me first. We're lucky it ended this well." Randall looked at the blonde woman, Remy--Luca's gal pal, it seemed like. "And I don't know who this Adolfo-whatever is, but if he's who Anthony and Andrei are talking about, the guy's in Miami. Don't think one man followed you up to the goddamn Rockies, do you?"
Randall was about to turn and look for Luca. As far as he was concerned, this speed bump had been passed, and he could go about his day. That is, until Remy suggested she could look for their missing man: some guy named Carter. He turned back to Mac, Ellen, and Remy, his voice once again stern. "You wanna send out a scouting party for him? Fine. But you're not going alone, and you're not just bringing people from your group."
Ellen told Emre to change the compresses now on Dannie. He gave a nod and walked towards Dannie and shrugged. He didn't know if she would resist or maybe go along with it because they are in a group together.
"I suppose I should change compresses then"
He said with a confused look on his face. He didn't really know what he was doing, but it seemed easy enough. Emre thought of it like the fire, just do what everyone else does. He awaited to see if Dannie would comply and let him change it as he wasn't planning on doing it by force.
Dale felt the water fall over him once more before turning the nozzle off. As he walked out of the showers, he grabbed a nearby cloth and sat down to dry himself. After taking the cloth and drying his hair out, he slipped on his boots and stomped down to get them all the way on. He threw the cloth over his should, placed his elbows over his knees and clasped his hands together as he watched the group at the med bay.
It was only due to the festivities the night before that he had entered the camp in the first place pulled along by emotions, but now that he was there he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay. As he watched the people arguing, he was reminded why he avoided people. People are always by nature, proud, violent, and controlling. With the world the way it was, people were even more prone to embrace their nature. Unfortunately for him, he now had a more meaningful reason to stick around.
He stared at the group, watching even allies scowling at each other, and a select few being kinder to the 'enemy' than the others would have agreed with. He imagined for a moment as he watched that every day wasn't like this, and in his mind he warped the image before him into a peaceful scene where the two groups smiled, and laughed at each others jokes. Hugs were shared between them, and malice was lost.

Hykeem looked at Randall and he seemed a bit occupied. Hykeem turned around going towards the smell of coffee. He needed peace. The commotion in the camp was just too much for him.
From what he had heard a new group just had a fire fight with Ellen and some of the others. Usually people complied so Hykeem figured something worse was gonna happen.
He began to walk head still spinning like a tornado. His head was held up and he was putting too much thought into the problem. He hasn't been paying attention to where he was walking and bumbed into Daisy Barnes.
"I'm so sorry about that"
Hykeem looked Daisy straight in the eyes with a serious look. This was the eighth time it had happened and he wanted her to know he truly didn't mean it.
Hykeem really hoped daisy would accept his apology usally she did with no problem.
"It's fine but you owe me"
Daisy gave Hykeem a smile and he smiled back.
"Okay. You me and a cup of coffee."
Hykeem really could use a cup of coffee and by the looks of it so could she. He didn't wait for her reply but instead continued towards the wonderful smell of coffee.
Aron and Sasha had been driving for hours now, from one side of Colorado to the other. The little black Ford Fiesta was still alive, the plucky car seemed to live on despite being just an average commoner's car. He felt bad for her, driving him all this way while he just sat back and relaxed. If he had known how to drive, he would have drove. This was something he had to learn just encase. If he could go back in time and learn to drive before the apocalypse, he would. But that would have been difficult considering that he was virtually penniless and spent most of his time scurrying around the back-alleys of London.
It would be weird seeing the people again, everything that had happened since he left, he knew nothing about. Deaths, new arrivals, enemies. Finding out about the deaths was the one thing he didn't want to learn, the place didn't looked safe so it was unlikely that someone would have died. Unless they had been killed from within the camp, by the leaders.
The best thing was escaping from the hell-hole that was Queenie's lair. It was likely that this camp didn't have people as deranged as Queenie but was still likely to have someone who could resort to her lifestyle if pushed. Maybe there wouldn't be any psychopaths in the camp but it was likely to have its fair share of asshole's. Before he allowed himself to be pushed into a corner and shouted at but now he was ready to fight back if anyone were to give him any bullshit. The Queenie situation had sharpened him.
They finally had arrived. It appeared to be the place he was looking for. He stepped out of the car, near what looked like an entrance to the settlement. He was still just in his underwear, his cap and a blanket, they had no time to stop off anywhere and the only clothes that fitted his size were all looted.
They stepped out of vehicle, wind gushing around them. He looked over at Sasha. "Ready when you are." He looked up towards the guard tower and got the attention of one of them. They approached the settlement and waited for the next step.
