It had been an eventful night but Charles was just glad that nothing else had happened. He rummaged through their stuff. There wasn't much left. He decided that he wouldn't eat this morning. He wasn't that hungry anyways. Funny what the end of civilization did to your eating schedule.
He went out to the Knight to make an mental inventory and to rearrange things for the run he was planning. They didn't have much left and would need to go out on a run soon anyways so they might as well make Fort Bragg that run.
Abby crept down the steps. Her hair was mussed and she wore a pair of mens sweat pants and a t shirt. She was bare foot as she crept into the kitchen. God, she would kill for some coffee. She placed the dirty bowl and spoons into the sink. She went into the pantry and started to rummage. She found filters, but no coffee. Damnit. She started going through the cabinets near the coffee pot on the counter. Come on people...but Abby was going to be disappointed. "Fuck." she sighed and went over to the box on the table and grabbed a bottle of water. She opened it and took a long drink. She saw the front door open and moved over to glance outside. She saw Charlie at the truck and waved, then glanced around. People were still asleep. Where was Sarah?

Max awoke to find Abby gone. His hand had went to grab her and encountered nothing. After the events of last night he was more relaxed. He sat up and swung his legs off the bed. He searched aroud for his pair of sweats he had worn the night before. He couldnt find any. Damb wher were they. He yawned as he looked under the bed. Why did Abby have to take his clothes from yesterday. He opened the closet and found a robe. It was obviously a ladies but he pulled it on. It went to just above his knees and barely did up. He climbed the stairs down to the kitchen. He saw abby and walked up behind her. "Sleep well," he asked leaning on the wall. "Where everyone else? I saw charlie but I thought the others would have risen."
Abby turned around and had to cover her mouth to stop from bursting out laughing, 'Oh..now that is sexy!" she had to walk away from him. Her hand was muffling her cackles. She was laughing so hard by the time she got to the kitchen, she was shaking. That was not water she expected to see first thing in the morning. She sat down the water bottle and tried to get herself under control. She gasped to get air, 'I..don't know..sleeping I think." She glanced back down the hall, and shook her head, "I took your sweats...I was gonna put the load from last night in the dryer." She headed for the laundry/utility room and he would here her laughter still.

"I wasn't the one who took my sweats," Max said looking at her, "was contemplating coming down in just my boxers. But it thought the might scare Sarah and the new girl." He saw she was laughing and blushed a little. "Listen about last night," he said to her as she disapeared back down the hall. "I'll tell charlie what we need to go to a pharmacy today. I'll get what we need." When she mentioned the laundry. "Did you wash your clothes or just mine? I feel like it was a waste to wash just mine. But are they almost done. I don't want to be wearing this forever."
Abby put all of his clothes in the dryer. She had washed her things as well. Well, except what she had on yesterday, "Mine are in here too, but I figured I have more options since some of the clothes upstairs will fit me. " She glanced at him, and turned red, 'You're gonna talk to Charlie about it?" She hissed at him, and shook her head, slamming the dryer. This was going from bad to worse. She stalked back in the kitchen , 'Look..it's alright...I don't want everyone knowing my business." She glanced at him as she went back upstairs to get changed, 'Here, I will change and you can have the sweats, til those get dry."

" good that we got good use out of it," Max said, "yeah they might fit you better." He watched he from where he stood. When she turned red he took a step back, "I won't tell him anything. I'll say we need some pain meds, and that we need a proper sling. I'll insist we go. If he say no then we can go make our own trip." He followed her upstairs, "no one has to know anything. It will just be between is," he said following her into the room. "I need you to cooperate with me. We need to work together. You can't be going around slamming doors. I get that you're angry. That your scared of what will happen next. It will be okay," he said looking at her, "I promise."
Sarah hit the top of the steps asAbby was coming up. She gave a sleepy smile and covered a yawn with her mouth, 'Morning...sleep well?" She raised an eye brow as she caught sight of Max at the bottom of the steps. " Alright, that is not what I needed to wake up to, but nice robe, Max." She was grinning as she passed Abby, 'Everyone up? Charlie down here?" She went the rest of the way down the steps. Her hair was mussed, but she was wearing clothes, unlike others. She walked into the kitchen in stocking feet and started rummaging around to find something for breakfast. She found some prserves in the pantry...strawberry she thought, the writing was worn off the label. She found some other things, but she took looked for coffee and found none. Guess it was just being back in an actual house that brought out old habits in them.
Charles came back to the house. He was ready to get down to business and luckily everyone that he wanted to talk to right now was up, though ready was a different story.
"Hey, if you could put some clothes on I'd like to talk to the three of you out in the barn. I have an idea for a run that I would like to run by you guys. It's gonna be dangerous but the rewards... are necessary if we're going to turn this place into a home."
He got a cip, filled it with some water and took a drink, wow that was nice, and way easier then hunting down water other ways.
Addilyn walked into the kitchen her long brown hair in a bun. She yawned and looked around rummaging through the pantry and cabinets. She had a big blister on her hand where she accidentally touched an ember from the fire as she was going to bed. She still only had the big t-shirt on. It stopped at her knees and had short sleeves. Addilyn had forgot she lived with more people now. She sighed as she found nothing but some honey and moldy bread. She looked around for something to do with herself.
Abby smiled at Sarah, "Yea..i slept too good." She grinned at her, "You look like you got good sleep too." She moved past her and into the room.
Once inside she stripped off the sweats and tossed them at Max. He was going on about her being angry, she wasn't angry, she was embarrassed. She nodded, "Tell him whatever you want." She flung open the closet and found a long sleeved shirt, and a pair of overalls. She pulled off her shirt and slipped the new one on, pulling the sleeves up a bit. She stepped into the overalls and did up the sides, then pulled the straps over and fastened them. There were made for a girl, but they were still a little big on her , a bit baggy. She sat down and stared at him, then sighed, 'I'm fine, I just don't want everyone thinking we are stupid, that's all." She pulled on her sneakers, "Max..I don't regret anything, it's not like that at all, but I am not stupid either. If I am, i am, if not great, it is what it is, at this point. I just need to do something, I can't just sit and think, I will go crazy. " She stood up and walked over to him, "We are fine...ok." She kissed him , "stop stressing." She left the room, and went back down stairs, looking for Sarah. She figured the two of them could take stock of the food in the house, something, anything to keep her mind occupied.
Declan turned onto his side opening his eyes. What time was it? He gave a groan then slowly sat up. He rolled up the blanket and put it on the chair. He stretches for a moment grabbing his tool belt. He wrapped it around his waist then started to rub his eyes. He arranged his jacket and rucksack in the corner of the room then left the room. He was still kind of groggy, it was the best sleep he'd had since the start of all this though. He walked to the kitchen then entered. He looked around. "Hey." He said to the girl who was in there. He leaned on the wall for a moment.
Sarah caught bits and pieces of the conversation Abby and Max were having as they passed her on the steps. She shook her head, but didn't say anything.
In the kitchen she was focused on the strawberry preserves, but couldn't get the jar open. She hoped that was a good sign. She smiled at Addylin as she came in, 'Morning." She held the jar out to Charlie as he got his glass of water, 'Here..please" She saw Declan come in, "Morning..hungry?" Not long and Abby came back fully dressed, 'Looks like everyone is up." She glanced at Charlie. He wanted them all in the barn, "Why the barn? Why not discuss it here, we can all sit in the dining room and talk about it." She looked at him confused, but she knew what he was planning for the run, just not why the barn. "Charlie...wait til Max gets down here, then we can all listen to you." This might not go over as good as he thinks. She hoped the others all wanted to stay here and make a go of it, but they might not.
Addilyn jumped startled "Um uh er hi" she looks at her outfit "Um" she looks at him. SHe tries to look professional, but it was hard to take her seriously while she was in a big t-shirt that says 'Juicy' across the front. She crossed her ankles "Excuse my clothing" she says in her best British accent-then she smiles it because she sounded drunk "Okay scratch that, what?" she asks with a smile.

Max caught the sweats and removed the robe. He began to pull them on, "I won't say a thing. It's personal," he said looking at her. He watched her dress and smilled at her choice of wardrobe. "To hell what they think. For all I care they're stupid for not beig the one to snatch you up. I mean do you even care what they think? One of them's a little kid. Their opinion on this shouldn't matter to you." He pulled on the thermal shirt and sat down to put on his socks. "In glad you dotn regret anything and I know we can handle whatever happens. Maybe you should come with me on a run, it will help keep your mind off of it," he said as he rose. When she kissed him he kiseed back. "I just want you to be safe, I'm stressed of you're well being," he said smilling. When she left he pulled on his boots and climbed down after her.
He saw charlie and walked up to him, "what did you need. What's the plan for today?"
He half smiles at the way she acts. "I was just saying hey, y'know hello?" He turns to Sarah. "No thanks." He says. "So someone mentioned needing my tools and me to help fortifying this place last night." He asks curiously. He continues to lean on the wall, looking at the man who just entered. He just heard the name Charles so of course that must be his name. He wanted to talk about something according to Sarah. Declan looked back and forth between them.
Addilyn turns around and stands on her tip toes reaching the top cupboard "Score!" she says grabbing a big 112 ounce can of pudding from Sam's club. She does a little dance "112 ounces of pudding!" she spins doing her little dance. She looks at the others and nods "I am going to change, then eat some pudding" she raises her eye brows while she says it and with a straight face like 'if you touch my pudding I will cut you'. She set the pudding on the counter and walked to the living room to change.
Charles had wanted to talk to just the four originals but now that Sarah had questioned his decision he had no choice but to talk to the whole group at once all of the strategy that he had come up with last night was out and he now has to play this straight, something he didn't really like to do.
Max came up to him and he threw up a finger, letting the man know to wait a minute. He walked into the living room and sat down. Once they had he started. Might as well be blunt now.
"Alright, well if we're going to make a home here we need supplies. These little towns are mostly picked dry and even with the whole group big cities are too dangerous. My solution... Fort Bragg. It's about a days travel from here and it will have everything we need."

"Who the f@ck is he," Max asked looking at the new guy. He didn't remember much from lastnght, the drugs ha doused parts of his memmory. "When did we start running a soup kitchen." He watched Addi pull some pudding out, "she's till making threats," he laughed. He knew it was just playful, or so he thought it was.
When Charlie told max to wait he just sighed. He watched te man sit down and looked at him. After he spoke Max just simply nodded. "As good as it sounds don't you think it will be overrun? How are we supposed to get through it? We also need people to stay here. If some one else finds it we may never get it back. I also don't think it has everything we need. I need something urgent, from a pharmacy. I need to speak to you in private after all this," he said looking at the man. He looked at Abby to reassure her he wouldn't say anything. "If it's a day away that means two days there and back a day inbetween to handle what we got there. It will be to long."
Abby's ears perked up when Charlie mentioned a supply run. She listened to him and Max, and caught Max's look, but didn't say a word. She leaned against the wall, 'Well...I think..it will be full, lot's of dead there, but it might be worth it. I'm in, I ain't staying here to just sit and wait." She shrugged and then looked at Max, he had said for her to take her mind off things she needed a run, and here it was. She glanced outside, 'We taking the truck? What about the car...we can block the drive with that, maybe make it look broke down, keep people from coming up?" She glanced around and saw Sarah. Sarah looked white as a sheet, but Abby figured Charlie had talked to her about this , it wasn' t news to her. She glanced at Charlie, and realized right then, Sarah wasn't going with them.
