Mourning the loss of Yuri and a celebration for those gathered at camp. The family reunion for Logan, Ellen and Anne-Marie and a chance for those in the blended camp to get to know one another.
This celebration starts at sundown and continues into the evening.

Anne-Marie stood next to the body of the guy who was pointing a gun at her only a day before. They had laid Yuri's body out on a pyre, and soon the flames would consume him. She tried to remember the whole 'ashes to ashes' sermon but couldn't remember it. She just wondered who would have the honors of setting his dead ass on fire.
She just stood there, emotionless. Was she suppose to feel sad? Feel sorry for him? Despite him helping her dad save her from the Reverend's lair, he really was an asshole and a nuisance for the rest of the time, giving her father shit every chance he got, rebelling against everything... It came as no surprise to her that he was the one laying there dead.
But did he actually had it coming? Probably not. She knew worse assholes than him before the outbreak who were more deservant, that made pointing a gun at her and her dad in the goddamn apocalypse seem like less of a crime. Had it been her brother Drew laying there she'd probably be stabbing him a couple of extra times to make sure he was really dead.
As she stood there watching over what used to be Yuri, she heard footsteps coming up behind her. She figured someone who wanted to sneak up on her would be less obvious.
"Funny isn't it?" Anne-Marie asked the currently unknown person behind her. "How after a while you just stop giving a shit?"
"I stopped giving a shit," Anthony admitted, approaching Anne-Marie from behind. "The day before I met you and your dad, I was shot in the stomach." Anthony was in a bit of a trance-like state as he recalled the events of that day. "A man captured a child from our group, we found him. He shot me, and I nearly died. He shot me because I was talking too much, trying to talk everyone down. It didn't work."
Anthony inhaled sharply through his nose before continuing. "He shot me just before getting shot himself. I didn't save anyone that day, and I got myself shot--and another guy from our group killed. I'd given up. What had the world come to when people were just taking kids?" Anthony took a few steps forward to stand side by side with Anne-Marie, and look at the burning pile. He couldn't really make out any features of Yuri anymore. "I'm trying to hold on. I'm trying to be some voice of hope for a group of people who lost it, I'm trying. You can call it weak or misguided. I know that's how you feel. And how your dad feels. But I'm trying to be something for people--something they don't have."
"I'm happy for you, Anne-Marie. Happy for you and your sister and your dad. Seeing you run to your sister this morning, see you smile...it restored some of my faith in this world. You help me give a shit again."

Remy had pulled her hair back and put on another shirt atop the others she wore to stave off the cold. Even though the fire burned brightly and hot, the cold in the winter air was still very much present. She didn't know what to say. She barely knew the kid and what she did see back in Texas was reckless. He was a kid with a gun and he got himself bit.
She looked around at the others as they stood in a circle around the funeral pyre. In a way, it was an honorable way to be remembered, unlike being buried in the ground and left for the worms. She always worried about ground contamination when burying the dead and warned against it back in California. But a year ago, everyone was still holding on to old ideals that dead people should be buried and thought it would do nothing to the ground where they grew food. At least Ellen was savvy enough to understand the reprocussions of doing that.
She clenched her jaw as she looked at Randall who she was certain took pleasure in putting that collar and leash around Luca's neck. Anthony was going on and on to Anne who seemed to have an incredibly low tolerance level and she was fully expecting her to lose it at any second.
The fire burned brightly, reaching for the sky as the smoke billowed from the heat and ash. He could move on now without suffering any further. Tonight was meant for mingling and drinking but she was not in the mood for either. Perhaps one shot of whiskey would do her good though. It had been a long time since she had a drink in her system. She just had to remember to bite her tongue, say nothing and reveal nothing. But she thought about Anne's words. She played them a few times in her mind and realized it wasn't getting any easier for her.

Having such a large amount of people doing nothing was abnormal, but the council agreed to let Ellen's father and his group take the night off. They'd come all the way from Florida, and they'd just lost one of their group. They deserved one night. Randall looked over to Luca, who'd been following him obediently since he'd instructed as such. The guy could at least follow instructions. As Randall surveyed the group of newcomers, his eyes caught Remy's for a moment, and he was smart enough to notice her discontent. He snorted. Was it something he said?
Didn't matter. Randall couldn't drink with them, and besides Logan, he didn't have much interest in talking to any of them. "Stay in sight. Don't act up," was all he said to Luca, nodding in the direction of his group. He was willing to give Luca some room to demonstrate his listening abilities.
Randall made his way over to Logan. "We haven't really been introduced. I'm Randall Slade. From Denver. I assume Ellen's told you most other pertinent details? God knows she's told me a bit about you."

"You got it, man," Luca exhaled, but as he turned away, Randall caught his shoulder, handing him a bottle of whiskey. Luca looked at the bottle, perplexed. "You for real, man? This a test?" But it wasn't. Luca knew that. And a few other bottles of alcohol had been procured for the group. These people were pretty damn hospitable! Luca could get behind that. If only he could roll with a crew that could get their hands on more alcohol...
But now wasn't the time to think about that. Luca made his way closer to the fire, catching a bit of Anthony's monologue. He said nothing, but he couldn't stand the sound of the guy's voice. It wasn't an annoying voice, but he heard it so damn much--guy loved to talk. Randall went on over to talk to Mac.
Remy was off alone--as she had been all day. "Hey there, Remy," Luca said, feigning fatigue. "Got us a little something, may help the cold." Luca held up the bottle and wiggled it a bit, as if showing it off to the woman. "Whataya say? Have a drink with me?"

The pirate had been planning to skip the funeral. He hadn't known Yuri after all. That was until he heard that there would be alcohol. He wasn't an alcoholic but he did love his drink, and by damn he was a bloody pirate. You couldn't be a pirate and turn down an opportunity to drink. He grabbed a bottle and poured some into his flask. It was nice that it had some weight once again, but he was sure that by the time the night was over it would be empty again.
He wasn't really making a point of talking to people but being a modern day pirate in the apocalypse tended to attract attention to a person. For the most part he simply walked around and made small talk. He wasn't sure that he would see Lex at the party, but then again there was liquor. If anything would draw the man out it would be alcohol.
Hykeem stood emotionless as he watched the people come together. He hadn't known the kid and had never even spoken a word to him. So to Hykeem this was just a getaway from the outside world.
Hykeem decided he would find out what he could about the kid and began to ask around. Hykeem began to walk around the room. Seeing if he'd noticed anyone when he bumped into the Blonde from the woods.
"I'm sorry"
Hykeem never liked being the cause of trouble and he hated confrontations. That's why he became an assassin. He had lived on the phrase out of sight out of mind and he'd often put an end to those minds.
"Did you know him? The kid"
Hykeem didn't want to rekindle old flames nor did he want to be rude. So he stood in wait for a reply.

Remy dug her hands deep in her pockets as she watched the flesh burn away from Yuri's body before turning the skeleton to ash. The fire had died down a little and it seemed to become a morbid campfire they all stood around. Even the pirate arrived in this awkward memorium to a boy they barely knew. She tried not to pay attention to the fact Luca made his way over to her as she stood alone and it was obvious that he was coming towards her. She kept staring at the fire though, avoiding eye contact so she wouldn't say anything to him about his current situation that she would regret saying later.
She saw his arm extend out of the corner of her eye and the bottle that was waved in front of her. She hesitated for a moment before finally withdrawing her hand from her pocket and taking the bottle from him.
"Before all...this... the only time I would drink was to celebrate something with friends or family."
She gave him a sideways glance as her head tilted down slightly. Her voice was quiet and low, not attracting any attention to herself. There had already been enough drama from her between her wanting to start her own experiments and being ripped from one side to the other by Logan to her outburst in the middle of the camp when Lex came in.
"What are we celebrating exactly, Luca?"
Hykeem, not paying attention to where he was going, bumped into her, causing some of the liquor to spill out the top of the bottle, splattering against her feet. She grumbled quietly, and again, avoided any eye contact.
"No, I didn't know him. I don't know anyone here."

Luca said nothing as Remy explained that she didn't drink too often. Luca couldn't say the same. He was in his 30s, so the time for partying was over, but he didn't mind getting to the bars. He needed to, after all, to meet with...clients. The drug dealers, the gang members. Often Luca would share a bottle of the nicest liquor with these undesirables so as to establish good faith. Drinking had been part of the job, but he didn't tell Remy this.
Before he could answer Remy's question, a young guy came over and said he was sorry about Yuri, and asked if Remy knew him. Luca feigned an offended expression at her answer. "C'mon, Remy...you know me," a playful expression now on his face. Before saying anything else to Remy, Luca looked up at Hykeem. "I didn't know the kid too well, nah. Besides not telling us he was bit, he was a good kid."
Luca didn't have to try hard to fake being friendly, but he did have to remind himself that he had to behave. Randall was watching, and Luca didn't want to be outside of the camp's walls now. Not when there was no better option anyways. He looked back at Remy, choosing his next words carefully. "What was with today? I mean...y'know. What's up?" Luca was addressing how cold Remy had been today--and really most of their trip.
He handed her the bottle of whiskey. "Here, helps with honesty."

Remy looked at the bottle and took it from his hand as it was offered up. One quick swig and she handed it back to him, debating what to say. She was starting to dislike the smell that was coming from the bonfire. The smell of the wood burning reminded her of swamp fires that burned during dry seasons back home. It seemed to permeate the air and linger in the humidity for days on end.
What she did know was that she wasn't going to say anything, certainly not in front of Hykeem. Things were shutting down for her and it seemed the more someone wanted to know, the less she wanted to tell.
"If I'm drinking honesty, then I'm going to tell you that I don't know you and you don't know me and I'm not going to do this right here."
She looked down at the spilled whiskey on her boot and shook her foot, watching as the liquor rolled off and into the sand.
"Enjoy the whiskey."
She looked up at Hykeem and moved her gaze to Luca offering them both a strained smile as she stepped away from the fire. She wasn't sure where she was going to wander off to this time, but she was certain her feet knew. She headed towards the wall and up the ladder to the wall where she first saw Lex and Sam coming up. From here, all she could see were the snow dusted treetops as the moonlight splashed down upon them. It was quiet, all except for the talk down by the fire.
Hykeem could tell that Remy wasn't up for talking. He looked at her as she talked and then to Luca as he did the same.
"I'm gonna go"
Just listening to the two of them made Hykeem uncomfortable. Some about the both of them reminded him of his parents.
Hykeem then nodded his head at the pair. Walking away from them. The chill of the cold winter wind made Hykeem even more uncomfortable . He really needed to take his mind off of the world so he also grabbed a bottle of liquor.
Hykeem had never drink an alcoholic beverage in his life but today was a new one. He lifted the bottle no reading the label to his lips. He hesitated a bit before gulping down a fourth of the bottle.
"Shit"
The alcohol was a bit to strong for Hykeem's liking. Although he continued to drink until the bottle was empty. By the time the bottle became empty Hykeem was relaxed but also seeing double.
He began to walk around wobling just a little as he did. He could barely hear what was going on around him and he walked towards his friend Nate.
" N-Nate old BUDDY. Have you h-had any of this stuff. I-it really does relach you.
Hykeem's weight then shifted to one side as he leaned up against a stack of wood.

Nate turned as he heard his friend call his name. He hadn't gone to the funeral. He didn't know them, or this kid. It would have been weird if he crowded aroud all those people. Plus he had been willing to kill him, didn't even second guess that he was still alive. He would have taken his life without hesitating. Nate look up at Hykeem and smiled.
"My friend, enjoying the celebration," he asked as he hobled towards him. "What are you drinking? And where can I get some?" He looked at the bottle. "Looks like you could use some more too." He paused before he started walking back towards where everyone had gathered around a fire. "I thought there was a funeral not a party." He helped steady his friend. "They were all excepted right? Even the one who were getting yelled at and had to clean."
Hykeem handed Nate the empty bottle completely misunderstanding what he asked. He then raised his hand gesturing for his pal to slap it.
"My. M-My mama told me I could be whatever I wanted and I choose a killer"
Hykeem laughed for awhile before continuing.
"I-I worked for the government yes but I was a murderer."
He moved his hand over his face chuckling a little. He stood there for awhile eyes twitching before he began to tip over. His body crashed hitting the floor hard almost being knocked unconscious.
His face laid against the cold sand as he leaned over vomiting.

Alfred didn't make a attempt to be sad over the loss of someone he didn't know nor cared about. He however to try to be less of a honest prick in his lovers opinion. Sure honest is fine when it's positive but when it's shut your mouth. Shaking his head at the though of Nicks words which didn't make sense in his opinion. Of course it was how he filtered the mans words that didn't make sense. The cold caused a bit of a shiver that caused him to tuck his hands into his pockets as he stood in silence. Then a figure caught his blue eyes. It was nothing to pay attention too until he saw the bottle and his interest peaked. Walking over to the two men one of them he had to admit looked a bit drunk. "Mind if I asked where you got the alcohol?" Hearing the disapproving voice of Nicks in his head as he asked rather nice. Following them if to where people were by a fire.
"I apologize for my friend. He's never like this. At least. Not since I knew him," Nate said looking at Hykeem puke his guts up.
"Now I need to speak to that pirate about getting liquered. So I can join in on his excitement." He bagan to walk toward the pirate. "Just watch him for a second. Make sure he doesn't puke on anyone."
Nate tapped the pirate on the shoulder, "I hear you have some alchohol. Or at least know where I can get some," he said looking at him. "If you don't its fine, but that's just what I was told."
Raising a brown eyebrow at the other mans words a bit confused.Babysitting?Great Nodding his head as he sounded a like a complete jackass when the words were in his head."Yeah sure. Please get me one too if you can." Smiling a bit now that he was being nice and the fact he'd be getting some alcohol was a awesome bonus.
Glancing at the man as he walked off to some weird looking pirate man. The question surprised him due to the randomness of it. Yet he couldn't help but to mess with the drunk fellow. "Yes I do. In fact its you." Winking at him once after his words. Smirking a little bit as he spoke with sarcasm. Laughing lightly as it was just a joke.
Leaning over to vomit again Hykeem wiped his mouth. He then raised his head laughing again. He hasn't had this much fun since he was a kid. Actually he never had that much fun at all but there's a time for everything.

"Might be I got a few swigs left o what's in 'ere," he said handing the flask over to the man that had approached him.
"Over'n that direction there were a neat stack of em but I think their atartin' ta get picked off pretty quick like lubber."
He chuckled a little as he spotted the man vomiting. He had obviously over indulged a bit, but someone was keeping an eye on him and he didn't look like he was having a bad time.
"Yer friend look like he's 'avin a good time o'er there."
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
