Tala froze as she heard a voice calling to them from the window. Without thinking, she held up both hands and moved to stand in front of Marko. She did not want this to become a blood bath, and it could very easily. She glanced back over her shoulder at Marko, "Look, we don't want trouble, we are clearing rooms of dead, so we can crash here for the night. " She looked back at the window. Her right hand held her spear, tip pointed up. "We know this room is occupied, so we will move on." She glanced back at Marko, then took a step to move on. She figured if they could get past where he could see them, they stood a better chance of dealing with him, and not getting shot right away.
Eli kept the gun pointed as best he could with his hand shaking as bad as it was. His finger rested on the trigger, perspiration now dripping down his forehead only accentuating the frigid air hanging in the room. It had been a minute since he called out his warning. The shape just stood there frozen. There was silence for a long time, what felt like hours in the grip of this tense situation.
Then, another person settled in front of the shape. The flashlight bounced off her perfectly, highlighting her facial features and body type. Eli felt bad for thinking it at this point in time, but he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. Her hair was caked in a layer of oil, and most likely dirt, but her facial features were...gorgeous. Amidst all the horror and violence...there was still beauty. Her lips parted and she spoke...
"Look, we don't want trouble..." she spoke. Her spiel was short, and concise. When she spoke, she spoke with the grace of a leader. There was a note of compassion...remorse, even. She sounded like somebody who had suffered great tragedy. Rode through hell, and came out the other side the same, but far stronger than she originally was.
How could he tell all of this from a single sentence? A psychology major was coming in handy so far in this shit show of a world.
Eli kept his weapon aimed, staring down the barrel at the two of them. He still didn't know who the man was with her, and still sensed an air of hesitance coming from him. Danger was still lurking around this situation, ready to sink it's teeth in and unleash violence at a moments notice.
"We're..." Eli said, emphasizing WERE as to not give away that he was alone, "We're not looking for trouble either..."
He hung back, still aiming his gun at the two people...
Marko was distracted. That was a mistake that cpuld have cost him his life as well as that of others, one that he was trained not to make. Emotions could get in the way at times, and he cursed himself for it. They were in a bad situation and he couldn't help feeling guilty.
As Tala moved forward to address the voice, he scanned for a way out of this. He flinched slightly when he heard what Tala said about skipping the room. There was no way they were spending the night next door to a stranger who could very much break in and slit their throats during the night
Yet, as much as he didn't agree, it was getting them out of the line of fire. From then, they can figure out the rest. He followed behind Tala slowly. Marko was confident if they could distract whoever was holding them up, a few shots of supressing fire through the window would take away any advantage he had.
"We're" The words ran through his mind as he heard it. Why the emphasis? It sounded unnatural.
"The fact that we're not dead tells me that there's a chance for a civilized resolution" He paused beofore continuing "So how about you come outside with all your friends, and we can talk about this?"
Tala side stepped again, slowly as the voice replied to her. At least they were talking, right? God she hoped someone saw her. She still had her hands raised in the air. It was a universal sign, someone should know what the hell was going on, something."Alright..." she heard Marko speak and suddenly it hit her. Marko didn't think there was a <WE> at all. She stared at the window, 'Look, we, us and our friends are just passing through, we would all like to get to were we are going in one piece, together." She was being calm, but inside, she was trying to not panic. If this guy shot at them, she was going to lose it. Her nerves were already wound tight, and it wouldn't take much to make them snap.
Tala got quiet, and glanced at Marko, then back at the window, "How about this, you let him move on past, he can walk away, and you can let me in, we can talk. No one , you , or us, want's to die here, right? We have all survived this far, right?" She pointed with one finger to her left, 'Go, Marko." Tala did not want him hurt, she knew he was far more valuable to the group, to the girls that she was.
"So how about you come outside with all your friends, and we can talk about this?"
He knew. The man on the other side of the door knew that he was all alone in here...
Yet they didn't kick the door down and kill him where he stood. Maybe a peaceful resolution was in the cards, but Eli still had his reservations.
"No one, you, or us, want's to die here, right? We have all survived this far, right?"
There was that word. Survive. Of course Eli didn't want to die. He wouldn't have come this far if he did. When she spoke, her voice had a certain clarity to it. She laid out a plan. She wanted to come into this room alone. With Eli. They could still be uncertain about the actual numbers in the room, but yet she insisted on coming in. He lowered his glock, but still kept his knife in his hand.
"Go, Marko..."
Marko. The military man, most definitely. Eli did the math and made a bold decision.
"I'm...I'm alone. I'm alone in here. I'm unlocking the door so you can come in..."
Castle walked along side of lilly when she spoke. "Dont worry I'v been alone for a while up until a few days ago. It's by sheer luck I found old friend's but don't be so quick to trust take your time and feel the group out. Now I don't know what happened between you and clem and honestly not my place you kept me safe today so I trust you." Castle headed back to his surprised ash had picked up on someone who had been hiding up in the trees.
Castle rubbed his brow and eyes. "Okay please tell me I'm not the only one who sees a person in the trees. My poor British mind can't take anymore weird shit today I'm tapped out after the fat man and hookers."
Clementine looked back down at the baby she held, searching as if he could answer the question for her. Her own heart was so torn, she had no real idea what to say. Finally she looked back up to Mark, "I want her to say it was all an accident, and that she will never stop being sorry for it. That she'll promise never to let her temper go that far ever again. I want to run to her and say it's all okay. But it's not. I don't know if it ever can be."
When the baby started to fuss again, she tried to dry her eyes on her own shoulder. "Maybe we should get him back. " She double checked her support of the infant in her arms, and glanced once more up to Mark, "And thank you."

Dakota lowered her aim away from Kiku, but still held her rifle ready to snap back to seeking. She stepped up beside Ash to offer a more visible smile by the light of Ash's flashlight. "Bunnicula are my favorite books. Even though it's for kids and stuff, I still like it."
She glanced over to Ash, "Trees are more comfy than you'd think. My little cousin Max and me slept up in all the time before you found me." Then along came Castle, and she looked briefly confused, "Hookers? Like those girls who have sex for money on those old TV shows? Tungtung.". Dakota made the best Law and Order sound effect she could, demonstrating her entire knowledge of such adult vices to be from old world prime time police procedurals. She narrowed her hazel eyes thoughtfully, "I bet the fat man brought them here just to kill them. They always got killed on TV."
I ran through the woods hobbling on one foot. Damn walkers caught me by surprise. I saw buildings not far away. I tried to run faster, but my foot started throbbing again. I yelped in pain, hoping not to fall. I was panicking, which was nothing like me. I reached the road, and half stumbled, half ran to the nearest building; it was a motel. I placed my good foot in a hole, and fell down. I saw the walkers coming, and they were coming fast. I did the only thing I could think to do. I screamed.
Marko didn't seem to like it , but he didn't openly protest as Tala moved towards the door. She had heard the guy inside say he had unlocked it for her to come in. She glanced at Marko, knowing he would go and tell the others, as she opened the door and walked inside.
Tala stood still, spear held infront of her, to show she wasn't meaning to use it as a weapon. She glanced to the right, and realized the guy must be behind the door to close it behind her. She took another step forward, allowing him room to do just that. She looked completely calm, but inside she was terrified. Why was she taking this risk? To keep the others safe, to help this person? She had heard the quake in the voice, even though it was immediately corrected. Everyone was scared, this world sucked. Safety in numbers and everyone needed that these days. All that and she just wanted a good nights rest and that was not going to happen as long as they knew this guy was running around and could be a possible threat. "Hi, I'm Tala."

Wyatt was waiting for Lily and Castle to get closer so they could talk, cause Wyatt wanted to know if the motel as safe. But just as they where nearly at the RV Wyatt heard a loud scream. “Shit.” He said as he grabbed his gun and switched his flashlight on in his other hand. “Castle can you come with me?” Wyatt said as he already ran into the direction to the scream. He wouldn’t want to go alone cause it could have been a trap and Castle was the only person he knew, so he asked him to join, if it was a trap at least he had some back up. He also didn’t have to worry about keeping the vehicles and supplies safe, since Lily was near, so she could guard it while Wyatt and Castle would check the scream.
Wyatt ran into the woods, would it be one if the people he just met that wondered off and got into trouble, or bandits wanting to lure them. Wyatt rushed through the trees and finally found the where the scream came from. He saw young kid on the floor and three walkers closing in on her. Wyatt figured that it wasn’t a good idea to shoot in the woods, he could attract more walker, so he grabbed his little knife from the holster that was tied to his belt and walked into the direction of the walker. He stabbed two of them in the head. But as he reached the third he tripped over a branch and fell down. He quickly rolled over the ground so that his face was facing the last walker, the thing fell on him and Wyatt started to struggle, lucky for him he was able to grab his knife which he lost during the fall and he used it to kill the walker. Wyatt pushed the walker off him, but saw five more walkers coming, he would need the help of Castle soon. For now he grabbed his flashlight and rushed to the kid. He helped her get up. “You ok?” He asked.
Kiku jumped down from the tree in one swift movement. She gathered herself and measured up these new strangers, could she trust them? Would they trust her? Her last group had left her behind when they'd camped for the night, by the time she woke they'd be gone for some time. She had counted herself lucky that a stray walker hadn't found her. Trying to see the best in these new people she held out her hand, "Hello, I'm Kiku. She's right, sleeping in a tree can be quite comfy and with the right precautions be one of the soundest sleeps you can get these days."
She looked over at the new stranger, Just how many people are they with? She inched backwards, placing a hand on the hilt of her wakizashi, the shorter of the samurai blades. She heard a faint growl from behind her, without hesitation she reached for one of her kunai and held it at the ready, hesitating only long enough to verify that the shadow wasn't human...at least not anymore. She threw the kunai at the top of the figure and watched it fall.
"I should probably go get that, I only have 4 of them." She turned to head over to the walker she'd just taken down, the next thing she knew there was a scream.
Castle paused for a moment when Dakota asked about hookers. "Well erm..." he heard the loud scream and Wyatt running past asking for his help. Castle turned an ran. "Lilly stay with ash." As Castle ran all he could think was "how popular is this sodding group." As he ran behind Wyatt he saw the dead heads heading towards were the girl was and turned to take them on drawing out his bow and loosing off one arrow hitting one in the arm. "Sod this time to go medieval." throwing his bow down he charged drawing his sword.
As he came up to the dead head he shot Castle plunged his sword into it's head while pulling out the arrow and forcing it into another. "Legolas can kiss my british ass he ain't got noting on me....Oh bollocks." A dead head grabbed his arm trying to bite him. Castle brought his arm down and he knee up smashing the creature face on his knee repetitively until he was sure it was dead. Looking over he could see wyatt was laid down on the ground and a young girl by him. "I hope you don't mind chap but were at a draw so i'll just finish these two and you can play around in the mud." Castle pushed one of the dead heads onto a broken branch to impale it and tripped the other over placing his hands on the back of his head he took a deep breath. "Okay time out for a second." he moved placing his hands on his knees. "Movies lie no bugger can fight for hours on end. sod right off." he finally stood up and pulled the sword from out of one of the deads head and sank it into the one who he tripped up on to the group with the last dead head he simply pushed on it's body sliding it down this broken branch until the other half pushed it's way into the back of the dead heads skull. Castle turned and walked over to wyatt offering a hand to help him up and looked towards the child. "The names Castle i'm the resident British pain in the ass."
Marko didn't like the situation: Too many unknowns, too many risks. They didn't know who this man was, his intentions as clear to them as the darkness that blanketed the hotel outside. His, or their true number was just mere speculation, an educated guess at best. No, Marko didn't like it at all. The fact that he didn't simply kill them outright that had been Marko's baseline of thinking, might just means the man was the smarter kind of murderer.
Marko didn't find any comfort in that.
Trading glances at Tala, Marko gave her a look that meant 'This is a bad idea' yet did not speak aloud. He backed away slowly, hesitant, watching until she had fully stepped inside. What happened inside, was up to fate now, not him. Yet he still felt uneasy leaving her like that. Proving your soldier's worth as always, I see He thought to himself, now hastily making his way back to the others. Perhaps he should have stayed and help out? Somehow?
Well, too late now. The screaming took precedence.
"Shit. What now?" It was half-relief Marko felt once he realized it didn't came from the room he had just left. The other half was sheer dread, as he realized it was a little girls's scream. Marko quickened in to a sprint, drawing both his gun and knife. The source of the sound his destination.
The woods were dark, and Marko felt eyes watching him as he ran pass the trees.
Wyatt had been the first to arrive on scene, if you didn't count the girl with foot stuck, or the several Whiskeys that seemed intent on joining in on the fun. "What happened?" Marko crouched down near the girl and looked to Wyatt for answers. "Gimme a sitrep, Wyatt" Old habits die hard, he guessed. Marko couldn't help but feel apprehensive about the five walkers that were closing in on them.
Ash covered his eyes as Dakota asked the hookers. He snorted when she made the noise from law and order. Placing his hand on the top of Dakota's hat and pushed it down over her eyes. "No more hooker talk. Hello Kiku welcome to our group." Hearing the girl scream Ash watched Logan rush to the noise. Shadow's ears perked and he growled at the walkers.
"But wait. Ok I'll stay here." Looking back at Dakota and Kiku Ash motioned for them to follow him. "It'll be safer in the Motel. We can block the entrance with our vehicles." Ash kept his crossbow tight in his hands. "Dakota stay close to me sweetie." Smiling at Dakota he looked up to Kiku. "You're welcome to join us but we don't have many supplies left. Come on Shadow!" Ash tapped his leg with his hand and the dog came back to them keeping an eye on the walkers. Shadow saw Dakota but not Clementine. He started to whine not knowing where the other child was.
Mark pulled his bandana off his head. His red hair was cut short so walkers couldn't grab it. Folding the bandana he reached over wiping the tears she didn't get with her coat. "You're welcome Clem." After tucking the bandana away rather than wrap it around his head again Mark grabbed the Diaper bag. "We're gonna have to talk to someone about cutting you and Dakota's hair"
Mark opened the door. The body of the man was still laying on the ground. Mark heard the scream. "Clementine stay close to me we're heading into the motel." Pulling out his pistol Mark had one clip left. He'd have to ask about some more later but he was more concerned with the little girl holding a baby.
"He's a big boy he can help himself." Lilly said mostly to herself after Logan had told her to stay with Ash. Looking at Ash seeing him with Dakota and the new girl she knew he would be fine if not oh well. She moved back into the motel and looked around. There was one other woman. She couldn't see her. Where did Tala go?
Lilly spotted Tala moving into a room and the door shutting. Something didn't feel right. Moving towards the room Lilly pulled out her knife. The air force logo on it brought her reassurance as she moved closer. Hearing a voice she didn't recognize she crept up to the door. Her combat knife in hand she gripped the handle to the door and waited.

Wyatt heard Castle his comment about how Legolas could kiss his ass.
“Hahaha, of course we are better, but I’m not playing Gimli, I’ll be Aragorn then.” Wyatt answered jokingly as he was still kneeling next to the girl. The poor thing must be in shock of the recent events, so Wyatt decided to give her time to answer. He kept an eye on Castle to see if he could handle all the walkers, but as a pro he killed them one by one. As Castle introduced himself he helped Wyatt on his feet.
“Thanks mate.” Wyatt said.
Just then Marko arrived and another five walkers where joining the party. “The scream must have lured a lot of them.” Wyatt said as he looked at the dead heads closing in. Then he turned his attention to Marko. “Well I heard a scream, I know I was an guarding duty, but Lily and Castle where just walking back, so I figured that Lily would be able to guard our vehicles and supplies and I asked Castle to follow me.” Wyatt explained. “When I reached her she was on the floor with three walkers closing in, I killed them, then five more came and Castle took care of those.” He added. “So now I’m trying to figure out what happened to her but she seems a bit in shock, and that the whole story, the only thing extra is that there are five more walkers coming.”
Castle flicked his wrist flicking some of the blood off his sword. "More dead heads I swear women are going to be the death of me one of these days." Castle looked at Wyatt and Marko and grinned. "I'd love to play rock, paper, sissors to see who has the fun of drawing away the dead heads but...." Castle started running and shouting. "YOU GUYS GET HER SAFE AND.... TALLY HO YOU ROTTEN BASTARDS....GET YOUR PRIME BRITISH BEEF RIGHT HERE LIMITED TIME OFFER!!!" Castle made sure the dead heads were fallowing he found the whole thing rather funny drawing away the dead so the other two can play nurse. Any dead head that got to close Castle cut down he was far enough away that he could just walk and draw them but still to close to the motel to leave the undead. As he moved abit more into the forest shouting every now and again and keeping an eye on the fallowing hungry fans Castle thought it would be the prime time to have a lovely little song. "Spy on me, baby, use satellite, Infrared to see me move through the night, Aim gonna fire shoot me right, Aim gonna like the way you fight And I love the way you fight." Pausing for a moment to look around seeing that he was a fair distance from the motel and the undead were still slowly nipping at his heals Castle took in a deep breath and shouted out. "SEXBOMB BABIE." before darting off into the trees to loose the dead heads.
Skylar nodded, looking uneasy. Her stomach growled, making her feel sick. She hadn't eaten in days. Skylar walked, hobbling on one foot as the other throbbed. "Who are y'all?" Skylar asked the people that were standing there with her. They towered over her. She looked up at them.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
