Dannie felt herself warming up with the fire burning, but she knew that wouldn't last unless someone stayed up all night to take care of it. She was satisfied enough to sleep upstairs in the big master bedroom and it looked almost like a honeymoon suite. That's probably what the couple were when they got to the cabin to either hide out or stay through all this. She had yet to find any weapons here, but perhaps if they looked around they would find something more.
"I claim the room upstairs, since I cleared it. There's two other rooms if anyone wants a bed for the night, but you'll have to clear the room and make your own claim. I'm not sure how warm it will be though. I stole all the blankets in the big room."
She grinned as she said that, taking off her heavy jacket to reveal a long-sleeved black sweater and shirt underneath. She wore her police tactical pants and boots and enjoyed the fire for a few more minutes.
"It may be best to stay close to the fire though. Make sure it keeps burning and stay warm. I'm pretty sure we're not going to be in for much of a scare from biters tonight but it may not be a bad idea for someone to pull an all nighter and keep watch."
She knew, in the middle of nowhere, if something were to approach they would all wake up and be ready to fight at a second's notice. Any and every little sound kept her up at night until she fell back asleep, waiting for the next noise. Cold or not, she was ready and willing to sleep in that big bed tonight, if anything, to get a few good, solid hours in.
