What had been a peaceful and prosperous morning quickly went downhill when a set of incidents started to happen throughout the Stadium. At first there was little suspicion of any major threat, but when a few individuals was reported missing and they showed up as living corpses, counter measures were taken to prevent further harm. It was later discovered that some marauders had made it inside through the sewers, and that they were causing malfunction and murder in their wake. As the minutes went by, the situation intensified and the entire population within was threatened when suddenly several explosions went off, which tore down the gates and allowed the dead to pour in.
Forced to withdraw, the guards opened fire on the approaching threat and secured the main population in safe rooms at the second and third floor. Those that didn`t make it there in time began to search for other options to escape, such as stealing idle cars down in the garage. Eventually the marauders began to fight the soldiers in the hallways, which had bullets flying left and right, piercing the wall and killing innocents on the other side. While this happened mostly at the first and second floor, Marcus tried to oversee the situation from the third. When he got the news about someone trying to reach out from the river, he ordered his COM operators to contact them and ask for aid.
Soon as they did, he rushed to find his kids at their room, where to his surprise found out they weren`t. Desperately scouring the area, he asked everyone he encountered if they had seen his children, but none had. The only logical option left was that they were somewhere below in the chaos, which at this point was almost impossible to access. Fearing for their lives, he ran as fast as he could and when he encountered the marauders in the stairs, he fired the rifle he carried. Luckily he managed to kill them before they hit him, though as he reached the ground floor he found it overrun by the living dead.
